I live 5 minute from Fir Park and there wasn't a single night of lying snow this year. Probably the mildest winter I can ever remember.

Can't see Aberdeen or Dundee Utd wanting him as they have strong wide players. Hearts are down and might not even exist and I don't think he's the kind of player Hibs need right now since his game isn't without some serious flaws. He's the kind of player you put into a good team, not someone you build around. Anyone else we can surely compete with. This guy has been around the doors and he's found somewhere it's working for him so I don't see him ending up anywhere else in Scotland and I'm pretty confident we'll be in a 'Well shirt next season.

My effort. Now if they could just straighten out that chevron into a hoop...

I think every time in recent times that we've beaten Celtic Lasley was man of the match.
-
If Lasley and Hammell are missing I'm not too hopeful of getting points from Celtic. 6 points would be good, 7 points better, more than 7 points excellent.
-
I don't think not finishing 2nd would be a failure but I do think not finishing 3rd after being in the top 3 since December and then slipping away at the death would be a failure of sorts. Not a terrible failure but still a failure. The start of the season was the start of the season. This is the end of the season and we have the chance to at least claim 3rd and possibly better. It's there to be played for, so let's play for it.
-
I'd be hoping for 8 points. I think we will lose away to Utd so I think we really need to get something off Celtic before we go up there. I'd hope to beat St. Johnstone and Inverness at home and a draw away to Aberdeen.

The police can stop anyone and question them on their actions. Under those circumstances you do not have to provide identification. However, the guy stated the police believed him to be carrying drugs or pyrotechnics, therefore the police suspected him of a possible offence. The police identified why they were conducting a stop and search and under those circumstances you have to provide identity. Look at your own post for confirmation.
-
If the police give you a reason for a stop and search you have to identify yourself, it's illegal to withhold your identity and you can be charged if you don't provide an identity. If the police stop you you should always give your identity, other wise you don't have a leg to stand on in terms of making a complaint.

St. Mirren's overall form is appalling but it's even worse against Top Six teams - 1 point out of 26 in 2014. If we were at full strength I'd expect a comfortable win today but even missing a few players I'd be very disappointed if we don't take anything.

Rangers skint and our skint are two different things.

I've never seen these before which seems to be a bit of a shame because that's some good graphic design right there.

It's hard to discuss this topic since I don't really know how the bonus scheme works. Do the players actually get a win bonus or is it based on points gained, appearances, final league position etc, etc. There are all sorts of variable ways of awarding bonuses. Is it an end of the season bonus, or is it paid out at certain stages in the season or are there weekly bonuses available? I have no idea. What happened last season was an extraordinary circumstance where the club was caught out by developments elsewhere but I'd imagine they have been a bit more canny this season and the amount of money going out and coming in will be better balanced.

The goalkeeping situation is a tough one. It's the better of our two goalkeepers that's out of contract and releasing him might seem a bit harsh on him. On the other hand we are unlikely to be able to move on Nielsen without paying up his contract. I'm not so sure we'll see a new goalkeeper next season, might stick with what we've got this term.

Two nicely taken goals.

I like Tansey, a good player with a bit of potential to be even better and I think we need a midfielder. On the other hand I don't think left back is really a priority position to be looking to bring someone into so for that reason I don't see a great need to go for Shinnie although by all accounts he's been Inverness's best player for quite a while. McKay, with that strike rate, will be eyeing a move south, I'd expect. I also believe he mostly plays up front by himself and isn't used to playing along side someone like Sutton so there might be a question mark over how he fitted into the side.

The simple fact of the matter is Stuart McCall isn't really a contender this year. Regardless of your views on Celtic, you have to acknowledge Celtic's superb form in the league this season. They wrapped up the title dropping only 9 points, set a clean sheets record and at one point won 15 matches in a row. When you consider that the Celtic squad this season was probably weaker than their squad last season and the league in general was stronger than last season that is fairly impressive regardless of the chasm in budgets. Derek McInnes has undoubtedly turned Aberdeen around this season from perennial disappointments and under achievers to being in the running for the Best of the Rest title. Add to that actual tangible success in the form of a league cup win that in my mind eclipses McCall's achievements. McCall may have made an very good job of challenging this season after losing so many good players and having to replace them on a reduced budget but if bubbling under on a small budget is the gauge by which to measure managers of the year then perhaps Tommy Wright should be in with a shout? St. Johnstone have made the Top Six again as well as two semi finals and potentially could still win the Scottish Cup. I don't know what St. Johnstone's budget is but since they attract significantly lower crowds than we do and keep themselves out of debt then I'd suggest it's quite a bit lower than ours. If McCall has a tough job then getting St. Johnstone to where they are at the moment on 2,000 - 2,500 attendances must be even tougher. If Aberdeen win the double you would have to be pretty biased to say that McInnes did not deserve the award. If Dundee Utd or St. Johnstone win the Scottish Cup I think both their managers would put themselves in the running depending on various factors. And Neil Lennon will be a contender due to the overwhelming superiority of Celtic in the league this season.

I bet Celtic drop more points in the next 6 matches than they have in the last 20. If we don't pick up points off Celtic you can guarantee our rivals will.
-
From what I've seen Craig Reid is much more suited to playing right midfield than Fraser Kerr.
-
If Celtic want a more competitive league they could not spend £7,000,000 on three duds per close season (this season - Balde, Pukki, Boerrigter) that have no impact on their league win and which they clearly don't need and split the money evenly among the other teams to the tune of £630,000 each. Celtic even save on carrying three wasted wages. Everyone's a winner.

Without Foran this season Inverness are P8 W1 D4 L3. Important player for them. Of course we are missing some as well...
-
Moore won a lot of fouls on Saturday, although some of them were a bit dubious! That's an asset that we didn't take advantage of.
-
I think a win or a draw more or less guarantees at least 4th place in the league and if we manage that we'll have achieved roughly what I think we should have done over the season. Given that Inverness have drawn 4 of the last 5 at home I think we have a pretty decent chance of getting at least a point. Of course, a win is the preferred result as it enables us to do perhaps even better in the league. 4 points from the next two matches would be a decent tally.

If you have a small squad and less players play more games then obviously that has an effect, especially at this stage in the season. We've also had 8 matches in the last 6 weeks to exacerbate that. It's clear to me that fatigue has been a big problem in the last few weeks and yesterday was just another example of that. There are up sides to having a small squad and consistent selection but now we are seeing a down side. Battering the players with extra training is just going to make things worse. Footballers are human beings not super men. Most of our key players have more than 30 matches under their belt this season and most of them aren't in the flush of youth either. Some others are coming back or have been playing through injuries. Nielsen (18) - Samson (33) Reid (6) - Clohessy (25) Hammell (31) - Tesselaar (31) Hutchinson (33) - Slater (19) McManus (34) - Ashcroft (18) Vigurs (29) - Maksimenko (1) Lasley (34) - Muirhead (15) Ainsworth (23) - McKenzie (28) Francis-Angol (30) - Eremenko (6) Sutton (31) - Boyd (30) Moore (13) - Irvine (23) 282 appearances - 229 appearances So our players have played about 5 more matches on average each.
-
I think you are being harsh on Reid. We threw players forward to try and get the three points and it backfired. That is going to happen sometimes but while I'll criticize a Motherwell team for not going out to win the match I'm not going to criticize a Motherwell team for trying to win the match in the final few minutes. Do you really want players sitting back for a 1-1 draw against bottom six teams at Fir Park? We didn't play well today and Kilmarnock were the better team in the second half so the points were hardly stolen. Actually, I thought Craig Slater looked a really decent player today.
