  1. Or as I said "AWWWWW NAW 19 minutes to hold on!"
  2. We had a back line of Jonny Page, Gavin Gunning, Shaun Hutchinson and an injured Stephen Craigan. That's why we lost 6 goals. Pretty obvious. I can't say I've checked it out but I'm pretty sure no other team has gone to Ibrox this season having lost their entire established back four and had to a) replace 3 of them with very inexperienced kids with a mere handful of first team appearances between them and b) keep 1 of them in even although he is injured. Not rocket science.
  3. People need to go away and have a look at the team line ups and tailor there reaction accordingly. Really what did you expect? And before the game McCall more or less admitted that even in a weakened team he was playing guys that were carrying injuries because he simply didn't have anyone else to replace them with. Rangers have Vladimir Weiss, we have Chris Humphrey.. If that doesn't highlight the massive quality gap between the sides then nothing will. Rangers started with 10 international players, we started with 1. There back line included 4 internationals with huge experience in European club football and in the case of David Weir and Majid Bougherra playing in World Cup Finals. Our back line included 3 players that 2 months ago were playing reserve or U21 matches and Stevie Craigan who played with an injury picked up in mid week. Quite simply we had next to no chance in this game, in fact the result was predictable. It's funny that just a few weeks ago many people were saying they wanted to write off the season and give the kids a chance. Well that's what is happening, predictably we get humped and predictably a large proportion of the fans act as something disgraceful has happened. No, it's just what happens when kids play against international players.
  4. He's injured and is only playing today because we don't have anyone else.
  5. We got pumped 6-1 at Ibrox when Gannon was manager. We've got pumped there loads of times. Give McCall a chance, losing at Ibrox is hardly without precedent for a Motherwell manager. You've got to give him at least a year before you can draw any conclusions, unless we really hit the skids.
  6. I say this every time but surely to God, we are due a win against these jammy bastards?

Hard facts don't cut it with some people!
  8. After about 25 years I'm still waiting for someone to get 20 in a season. Faddy was closest with 19.
  9. Suts would be in my first eleven ever time but let's not compare him to The Cobra! I think Coyne played about 120 matches and scored 60 odd goals so Suts won't be that far behind in terms of appearances.
  10. I agree, a terrible waste. The office scissors were blunted cutting all the coupons out The Sun.
  11. Saunders has definitely shown improvement. You can see him growing into a player as time goes on. He is still inexperienced, he is still young but 6 months ago I'd have picked Hateley over Saunders, now it would be the other way around and not just down to the loss of form from Hateley.
  12. Jackal that shirks a tackle? Coyote in the team photie?
  13. Jutkiewicz was a young player though that had been loaned around and he'd only played 11 matches many of them sub appearances after he left Swindon for Everton. Not really the same thing.
  14. The answer to Jeffers or Casagolda is Murphy and Sutton.
  15. Jeffers was hopeless at Rangers and I don't expect he's got any better since he's got 1 goal in Australian football. I'd rather have Kuqi even though he's older. At least he has been a consistent goal scorer and has an international pedigree. Still looks like Jeffers is our player now so we'll wait and see, hopefully he has an Indian summer.
  16. I think people are exaggerating Murphy's loss of form. He's missed a couple of chances, none of them sitters by the way, and he's 'off form'. Seems to me he is copping it in the neck for the general lack of goals in the team. I thought Murphy did well last night and against Rangers, he just didn't get on the score sheet. If you look at our best play in both these matches, the times when we looked most dangerous Murphy was generally involved.

    Kilmarnock

Funnily enough more genuine contenders than we've had for a while. Hammell was excellent, hope it's not a serious injury. Jennings also, but his refusal to hit a shot was a bit annoying! Giving it to Jones, some excellent play and real flair.
  18. Some of the abuse Murphy was getting tonight was ridiculous. Get off the guys back.
  19. Based on what I heard coming out the ground there will be a lot of moaning going on here tonight but not from me. Obviously I wasn't happy with the result but in terms of performance we dominated the match, most of the players played well and I actually enjoyed the match which isn't always the case. We could have finished better, in fact Jennings had probably our best chance immediately before Killie scored, but Bell also made some good saves and we were unlucky on a couple of occasions when 2 or 3 inches the other way would have seen us score. We got mugged but that happens to every team a couple of times a season, I'm more interested in the performance and tonight and on Sunday I think we have played pretty well, we've just lacked that cutting edge but if we can maintain that level of play and carry a bit of luck I think we'll be OK. Also, Jones looks like he will give us something we've lacked since O'Brien left.
  20. And that's why he is a terrible manager. Defenders are there to keep clean sheets, not spray passes around. Gannon's vision was nothing more than a fantasy and that's why we hardly won a game while he was around despite having the luckiest streak of refereeing decisions in living memories (was there a game where we didn't get a penalty or an opposition player or two sent off?). Brown progressed the club by putting us into the Europa League this season where guys like Jonny Page, Steven Saunders and Jamie Murphy picked up valuable experience. Something that wouldn't have happened under Gannon. Out of all the young players currently around our match day squad I think I'm right in saying the only one Gannon gave a debut to was Ross Forbes, funnily enough the one most of the board would rather see punted. And as for the senior players he brought in, Ruddy, Jutkiewicz and Coke are all history already, we are still waiting on Humphrey to live up to the hype, Hateley has been very average this season and only Jennings has made a real impact.
  21. Yeah cos when Brown brought Craigan back into the fold, our form nose dived didn't it?
  22. I rate Webster highly. Excellent defender who is also decent at getting on the score sheet. Unfortunately probably far too good to end up at Fir Park.
  23. Facts are we and almost every other club in Scotland are turning to short term loan signings because they simply do not have the finances to offer longer contracts. The days of three or even two year contracts are rapidly coming to an end. And if you can only afford 1 year or 6 month contracts why not bring in loan deals if they are better quality than the free agents available? I'd imagine Jennings was one of the higher paid players in the squad, so it may well be that we can only afford to offer him a contract depending on a high league finish, cup success or European qualification.

    Rangers

Went for Hammell. Probably our best player this season and had another good game today.
