  1. Good to see Murphy has his priorities right. I'd rather drink my own urine than support any populist move by that war supporting unionist prick.
  2. Really? After mucking about with the lineup over 5 league games, he didn't know what his best team was and shat out of making a choice between Craigan and Gunning. Hanging Hammell out to dry in the process.
  3. Think that underlines how poor Carswell has been for last 18 months or so. Regarding Baraclough, if it hadn't been for the transfers, I'd have been on his back but today was effectively a clean slate. In saying that, it's unnerving to hear that we're still doing the same basics wrong. One thing you can probably guarantee about Hutchison is that if he develops any doubts about Baraclough keeping us up, he'll make a change.
  4. Today had potential to be a bit of a lottery. Next few weeks are pivotal where the players must bed in well while addressing our inability to defend or maintain possession. Judging by the radio commentary, Grant and Johnson have something about them. Main disappointment for me was to hear that we went with Sutton upfront on his own, a tactic that hasn't worked since Nancy in 2008. Key run of games at Fir Park now. Hopefully get Pearson and Hammell back, which would make a helluva difference.
  5. Good to see Erwin still in the starting lineup. Johnson and Dom potentially carry some threat from bench.
  6. I do think we are moving in the right direction but think we could struggle today as the players need time establish a pattern of play. Even if we were to lose, I'd be hopeful that we'd turn the corner in the upcoming home games. Nevertheless, I'm swept along with the optimism and have invested some of my Hibs winnings in Motherwell -1 at 11/2.
  7. Very candid listen with some positive news with regards to restructuring of club, players sales and ticket initiatives. I'm enjoying the podcast weekly and it's been a real coup to get the prospective Chairman and GM on, providing an almost unprecedented insight into the running of the club. Fair play to those involved.
  8. Unsurprisingly, Gary Stevens being linked with the Assistants role.
  9. How do season ticket numbers compare to previous years? In comparison to clubs like Dundee Urd, Accies, Falkirk and Livi, why have we struggled to attract offers for quality such as Murphy, Hutchinson, Randolph and Law?
  10. The less connections with the old regime the better. Did the mystery man from the bench last weekend ever get identified?
  11. Encouraging that we are scouting and investing in the type of player that should have been the blueprint for Motherwell for many years. Acid test will be how good an eye for a player Baraclough and his colleagues possess. Not sounding great on the injury front but pleased to hear it's a knee injury and not personal issues that kept McManus out.
  12. Former Celtic youngster. Came through at the same time as Feruz. He's 21 so not for the development squad.
  13. Share the caution of Ya Beezer and Melvin Bragg as much bigger clubs than us have failed to integrate multiple signings in a short period of time. And while trying to install a style of play, I suspect he'll have his man-management skills put to the test by inevitable unrest. Some of the signings though do look really impressive away. So while not getting carried away, I'll need to try and talk the missus into valentines at Dingwall.
  14. Club has lived up to it's promise in delivering multiple signings and the manager has been backed significantly. Fascinating times ahead, on and off the park. As alluded to previously, I hope we still get regular sightings of Thomas, Erwin and Moore despite the increased competition in their areas.
  15. 1. Long 2. Reid 3. Hammell 4. Kerr 5. McManus 6. Grant 7. D Thomas 8. Lasley 9. Sutton 10. Erwin 11. Pearson 1. Twardzik 2. Ramsden 3. Starker 4. Laing 5. O'Brien 6. Lawson 7. Cadden 8. Vigurs 9. Moore 10. Sheils (??) 11. N Thomas 1. Neilsen 2. Law 3. Watt 4. Cummins 5. Neill (on loan) 6. Leitch 7. Ainsworth 8. Carswell 9. McHugh 10. McLean 11. ZFA
  16. I'm about 2 strikers short of naming 3 starting XIs. Edit - I forgot all about Bob McHugh.
  17. Yeah sure. I like him a lot despite a ropey performance on Sat. Just have a fear that the others could be picked up quickly given their style of play. Watt is relatively new to the scene while Erwin, Moore, Thomas and Cadden have been standouts at youth level for some time.
  18. Just hope when the dust settles on this window, we move quickly to sort out Erwin, Thomas and possibly Cadden. Think Moore is on a longer deal.
  19. He'll win us over with a playoff winner against that lot. Significant cash is being splashed here.
  20. That is a promising signing. We must be heading for our biggest squad in about 10 years.
  21. If this comes to fruition there must be something going on with McManus.
