  1. Admittedly very small market but that's a bit of a move which suggests someone has had a punt with some inside info or is plain daft. Keane went from 16/1 to heavily odds on with Celtic in the summer. He had been offered the job though.
  2. What has Derek Weir and the Board been primarily working on in the run-up to the November deadline? Seeking private investment or supporting the rise of the Well Society? I imagine their preference is somewhere in the middle.
  3. It's speculation regarding Coyle but I doubt it is pure fabrication that an approach was made. Obviously we have no chance of getting him. If our immediate future is so uncertain though, I doubt we'd be going down the route we seemingly are in seeking a replacement for McCall. I hope you are right regarding Boyle's intentions on future ownership. If it is the case though, I struggle to understand the increased pressure that's seemingly been put on the 'Well Society.
  4. Surely there is a more credible offer on the table in order for the club to have the 'Well Society jumping through hoops at the moment. Would the club have the audacity to make an approach to Owen Coyle if the imminent future of the club was so uncertain? Time to hear from Boyle.
  5. This is a tad surreal. Is the prospect of an agreement between Nobby and Boyle so close that fans are lending £10k+ on mass? If there is constant negotiation between multiple parties, how can we can genuinely be looking to recruit a new manager at present? By the way, I'm afraid the 'statement' is a panic ridden ramble.
  6. Fair bit of exposure for McKinlay tonight. Clearly interested. Real strong candidate IMO.
  7. If we are approaching the likes of Coyle, I'd expect Burley to feature on a list of prospects we are sounding out. No odds on Nolberto Solano yet? Wonder if he's a front man for this rumoured consortium and/or looking to progress his management/coaching career.
  8. I like O'Brien, proper defender. If he gets a run of games, I fancy to him to be a standout performer.
  9. Was good to hear that Ciftci is suspended for the cup game, which was partly the reason why Dow played upfront. Bad news is Hammell being our for 4/5 weeks.
  10. Reid for me, set the tone.
  11. Textbook response to losing your manager. Rode our luck and battled like fuck. Startling improvement in performance from the experienced players that have been getting the flak. Hopefully our future manager is excited by the prospect of building an organised team around the quality of Ojamaa, Ainsworth and Vigurs. Well done Motherwell.
  12. Two boys from Queens Park look pretty decent.
  13. Black made it clear yesterday that he wouldn't change much due to how successful the management team have been. Is there a minutes silence planned?
  14. Missed the start of Burrows interview on BBC but I believe the club will pursue managers that have not applied. Anyone hear the interview? He sounds identical to Dempster.
  15. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink shorter odds than Leitch, Butcher and Locke. Progress. Simo 18/1.
  16. Good pricing. Hopefully we'll sell around 5,000 and United bring a decent support.
  17. Butcher didn't really motivate Hibs did he? Infact he went in there and told players they weren't good enough, then recalled them when they were battling for points. Butchers tactics were brutal for much of his time at FIr Park.
  18. McCall getting a job to develop the best of Scotland's youths would be a tad ironic...
  19. Straight into 2/1 on Sky. Can't see it, shouldn't have lasted as long as he did with Scotland.
  20. I do hope McKinlay gets an interview. After his time at Watford, had a wee read up on him and he certainly looks to be a good coach who will likely have a good grasp of the younger players available down south courtesy of his time with Fulham. Wonder if him and Craigan crossed paths while they were both involved in the NI setup for a brief spell.
  21. Other than the cup replay, when did we last beat United at Fir Park? While we've had a good record at Tannadice, I'm no sure we even scored a league goal against United at Fir Park during the McCall era.
  22. Crossed my mind a little, particularly when McManus has previously stated how pivotal McCall was in getting him to Motherwell and renewing his contract. Probably just being professional though.
  23. In the opinion of Richard Simpson from the BBC, the process will boil down to Leitch being in the frame due to financial constraints. Get the Well Society to fire their £500k on it.
  24. I'd have thought if Cathro was ready, Levein would have offered him the job at Tynecastle. Definitely a boy going places though.
