  1. And who's funding Ojamaa? We could have had him if McCall wanted him. But no we had 5 strikers; yet we finish in Iceland with Lasley playing off Sutton and throw away a significant amount of income.
  2. It's just no right is it.
  3. Good luck to him. Hope he does the business.
  4. I'm not sure if the deal would have materialised if it wasn't for Dempsters persistence.
  5. Faddy was never a McCall signing was he?
  6. We'll find out soon enough hoe fit Faddy is. Tommy Wright says he's looked good in training and hoping to discuss short term deal tomorrow. He inferred that he wouldn't be signing him if he wasn't up to speed.
  7. Whatever changes are afoot, we need to try and facilitate longer term thinking in terms of contract extensions and player recruitment backed by modest but secure financial planning. In recent seasons, we've had to wait until a player is in the last few weeks of their contract before we know our budget for the next season and offer a deal. And if we're waiting until May to resign established players like Lasley and Hammell, what chance have we got of snapping up young prospects ahead of competing clubs.
  8. No idea if there is any merit in the MvCall rumours, he's always came across as fully committed to me. However, at the time of his driving ban it was mentioned that he has his ill father to look after down South.
  9. Quite happy to cut some slack, particularly when it looks like McCall and Flow have been hung out to dry. However, the apparent lack of leadership at the club is cause for unease and needs addressed.
  10. A full week to work on a 442 with arses being kicked. We need Ojamaa, Vigurs and Ainsworth all doing what they are capable of.
  11. Watching the Accies highlights, the number of empty seats in the East Stand is alarming. I cant recall a season where it's looked so empty. Balls need booted for our approach to the summer. A rise in ST prices was followed by the club going into hiding after the European farce. Our ST sales must be down significantly. Sadly there doesn't appear to be anybody to the boot the balls.
  12. Bob McHugh didn't look as bad as he usually does; which speaks volumes for the team. Felt for Erwin getting high balls pelted to him while playing out of position throughout. He is a talent though. Twardzik motm. Not sure where the Leitch claims stemmed from.
  13. Interesting few months ahead. It would appear that McCall and his players are unable to paper over the of-field cracks any longer.
  14. 4-0 flatters us. No shape, no discipline, no fitness, no attempt to play football. A season of grinding out a record number of points with little emphasis on passing the ball has well and truly caught up with us. Abysmal today. You could have pulled out a more coherent 11 from the stands.
  15. We've not had a playmaker since Nicky Law left and consequently Lasley is left with too much to do. Vigurs has failed to step up to the plate on a regular basis.
  16. Indeed. At least 3 players were left out as precaution since Alex Neil deemed Saturday the more important of the 2 games. No goals against that team is inexcusable.
  17. High league positions mean little when the money goes on bonus schemes. Although, maybe we don't have the right bonus scheme in place for cup competitions?
  18. No comparisons should be drawn between a semi pro right back and James McFadden.
  19. Would expect Lawson, Carswell, Ojamaa, Erwin and ZFA all to come in and join Josh Law in the starting lineup.
  20. McCall is a cool customer but the pressure of cup games really seems to cloud his judgement. Albion Rovers, Stjarnan away and tonight have provided a catalogue of bizarre selections and substitutions where negativity has prevailed. On the bright side, these cup exits don't hurt half as much as they used to.
  21. Simply not good enough. Completely shit the bed in cup games.
  22. Not surprised to see Ramsden and ZFA on the bench given their recent injury history. Disappointed that neither Ojamaa or Erwin are playing but again, that'll partially be down to the surface. Josh Law doesn't miss many games.
  23. Wonder how many we'll take tomorrow. Some really poor crowds tonight's as seems to be the norm with the league cup. 1,800 at Thistle St Mirren.
