  1. Disgusting. The St Johnstone game was a step to far but resting players for a youth cup game? Hope Erwin and Moore bang in a few and McCall hands in his resignation.
  2. Ainsworth and Anier can head back to their clubs anytime. I suspect someone will take McManus off our hands in Jan. he's done well enough although not the leader I anticipated. With little to play for we can't afford to pay a decent wage to him any longer. Sadly, I think we'll be toiling to offload the Dingwall duds.
  3. The writing was on the wall since the squad got split between Morecambe and Cowdenbeath 10 days before a European tie. We are still no closer to finding any continuity.
  4. Really starting to kick in this morning that this is an all time low following Motherwell. The fact that we've seen this coming and we're in desperate need of income to stay afloat compounds the misery. Season is finished unless there is a bit of a clearout.
  5. Can't make it thankfully. 7-1 Celtic.
  6. Do Albion Rovers get punted out then for having 7? Another thing that irks me is that McCall never went to watch Albion Rovers. He has to lead by example when it comes to respecting the opposition. Such a lazy approach this season.
  7. Is this for real? Craig Moore was sitting along from me alongside Ainsworth and Ramsden, assumed he was injured. Why would we put Leitch on the bench but not Moore?
  8. Saddest thing about today was the result wasn't overly surprising given our horrible 'style' of play and sheer lack of fitness this season. Despite what the happy clappers have been spouting since August, this is one of the worst Motherwell teams in my 25 years of going to the games. Given that the club continues to preach to us about the Well Society to keep the club afloat, our cup performances have been unacceptable since May 2011. Today however is unforgivable. Full credit to Albion Rovers, came away feeling pretty chuffed for a bunch of part-timers that comfortably held their own against overpaid professionals.
  9. Suspect today will be a harsh wake up call to the happy clappers. The summer was the time for McCall to move on. Regrettably, the season is unfolding as I envisaged and the next manager will be left with dross like McHugh, Neilson, Lawson and Vigurs on 2 year contracts.
  10. We shouldn't be waiting until the last year of his contract. At the very latest, he should have been offered a deal when we got the ojamaa cash. We make the same mistake time after time. How do Dundee Utd manage to get top notch talents signed up to 2016? Lost track of how development fees work. Given that we offloaded Jamie Murphy in January at the age of 23 for a pittance, I expect a similar scenario again. For a club that preaches youth development and the need to sell a player every year, the process is very poorly managed.
  11. Bad but unsurprising news if true. Again, we leave it too late to offer a contract.
  12. That Killie defence has got to be one of the worst the SPL has seen.
  13. Didn't realise he hadn't played against Brechin sorry. Would be nice to see him feature then.
  14. Erwin is due back after the sevco game tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go back out on loan, hopefully to a 1st Division team. He's cup-tied anyway. Hope to see Sutton and Moore paired up front with a view to playing them both against Celtic. Lawson and Lasley also need some game time together... Should be scoring 5 or 6 here.
  15. Confident that Kerr will turn into a centre half once he learns to handle players running with the ball at him. He's got all the attributes required. For now, we need his mobility up and down the right to compensate for our lack of pace middle to front.
  16. Welcome 3 points and clean sheet. Hopefully the performance was a tad more promising than recent months. Delighted to see Moore get a start. Wonder if Erwin may get a slight look-in with his loan deal up this week. Depressing to see Faddy withdrawn at half time yet again. Just not happening.
  17. Shite news. Had the potential to be a right good day.
  18. Far from trolling. McCall has done a fantastic job beyond all expectations but his success has primarily been based on quality players as opposed to tactical awareness. After a very poor attempt at rebuilding the squad in the summer, we are a mediocre team in a very poor league. Can't imagine he enjoys heading into training to work with the current squad in comparison to the quality we had last season. And something clearly isn't right with training given how unfit we look.
  19. We're ready for a change in managent and outlook but priority has to be moving on some of our recently recruited journeymen.
  20. Know my stuff. I just sat back and enjoyed watching United's young Scottish talent. we were always going to get pumped as soon as we came up against a half decent team. Worst squad since Malpas days.
  21. We'd take in excess of 2,000 no bother but I'd rather get involved in a ticket scramble than play at a neutral venue.
  22. Appreciate that the buzz stems from being close to the away support but the kids in the cooper would love it up at their end. Worth trialling at a game where we get heehaw away support?
  23. Dundee Urd have a great record against us at Fir Park in recent times and for me are capable of running Aberdeen close for 2nd place. Up against Robertson, Gomes, Gauld, GMS, Armstrong and Ciftci ( although he may be suspended) we could be in for a proper doing if they are on song. Record of 1 point against the current top 6 not to improve any time soon.
