  1. Dire stuff as anticipated since the lineup was announced. Hope the tactic is to lull St Johnstone into a false sense of security before unleashing Anier, Ainsworrh and ZFA or Moore.
  2. Fine hat-truck from Leitch by the sounds of him. Good to see us on an excellent run after a poor start to the season.
  3. Moore turning out for the under 20s today. Showed great awareness yesterday before unleashing such a sweet strike. And as Noah says, it was good to see a wise head on young shoulders as he ran down the clock. Got a good feeling about Moore, seems to be fully dedicated to carving out a career.
  4. Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen fans from my work say that they tend to buy a programme due to away team coverage.
  5. Sutton for me, his link up play has really improved from his first stint at Fir Park.
  6. I'm far from Vigurs' biggest fan but he showed some great touches today, looked a wee bit more mobile and was at the heart of anything we created. Still have reservations that he'll ever fit into our shape and style of play.
  7. Really enjoyed that today. Our rivalry with Hearts has gradually subsided in recent years but I felt today was a return to the old times. The game was always going to be a struggle without McFadden and Ainsworth but we got there. Vigurs showed signs of improvement and we were a handful from corners. Delighted for Moore, boy has been chapping at the bit for an opportunity.
  8. If Hammell hasn't lost his way slightly during his early. 20s, he'd have got a better move than Southend and plenty of Scotland caps. Fantastic servant to Motherwell, superbly consistent and underestimated technique. However, he hasn't quite reached the heights that his ability merited, particularly in an era where Scotland have been toiling for a left back .
  9. 442. Ainsworth and McFadden on the wings. Go at them full pelt and partially make up for the sham at Parkhead.
  10. Good news, would be great to see him get a few minutes on the park. Few of the under 21s got to train with the 1st team this week, including Fraser Kerr. Andy Roberson that scored against us at Tannadice sounds like the pick of the bunch.
  11. Erwin scores a late winner from the penalty spot to net his 6th goal for Arbroath.
  12. Aye, trip to Tynecastle was a few days after the Shaun Fagsn Celtic game. Jean Louis Valois ripped us apart.
  13. Just watching the goals again, how woeful was that attempted challenge from McManus on Commons. Summed up our approach to the game...
  14. Yip, his omission yesterday would suggest that McCall isn't overly keen on him. Thinking back to our game in Rissia when we adopted a similar approach, Lawson was one of out better players Imo. Vigurs was always going to be a waste of a jersey yesterday.
  15. Credit to Anier for puting in a decent shift while carrying a knock. Given our slow passing approach today, I'm surprised Lawson didn't feature.
  16. Horrible performance, horrible police presence. It will be a while before I head back there.
  17. Aye Hammell is a fair shout. One of the few to do themselves justice.
  18. Sounds like Leitch's boy put in a bit of a star turn at Ibrox.
  19. Shouldn't go into this with any fears. Keeper and defence really need to step it up though.
  20. If McFadden is fit he has to play next week. If he hadn't returned last season, we'd probably still have a honking record against Celtic. Harsh on Anier and ZFA but I'd start with McFadden and Ainsworth in behind Surton next week with Lawson being added to the midfield.
  21. McCall said on Friday that someone tweaked their hamstring during training. Assume that was McFadden then? I thought he was having a decent enough game. Look forward to seeing him and Ainsworth playing together.
  22. Lee Erwin has 4 goals in 4 games for Arbroath. Unplayable today apparently.
  23. Sutton. Two excellent goals and impressive link up play.
  24. Decent enough first half, thought we got off to a good start but was concerned how easily we were getting exposed down Ramsden's side and it wasn't a surprise we lost a goal from there. Early in the 2nd half I feared the worst, we lacked a playmaker and expected a turgid 2nd half. Sutton and Ainsworth really turned things round though and Carswell came onto a game. Some really good goals that would have been eclipsed if Anier had finished off a fine move with his diving header. Special mention for McHugh, that's the biggest impact he has made since that Aberdeen game. Fine header to underline that he is a natural finisher. Hooefully we go to Parkhead next week with genuine belief.
