  1. I 'd be amazed if Law went to Sevco. He'll got offered similar if not better money down south and obviously has the ability to play at a high level. I can only envisage him entertaining Sevco if McCall is influencing him. Delighted for Randolph, good move. Hope to see him in the Premiership soon. Fantastic servant.
  2. Thoroughly deserved. Huge achievement generating sustained success and improving our style of play beyond belief along the way.
  3. This point has crossed my mind. When I was a young yin I used to love standing at the bottom of the east but a major part in that was the hostile away supports. Given that away supports are dropping like a stone, is there any interest about moving up towards the cooper end? Maybe even just for the 2nd half of games when we are predominately shooting towards that end. Having sat in the Cooper for the last 2 years, I've been impressed by the atmosphere at times and certainly think that there is a scope to involve the mini bois and have some interaction between the stands.
  4. Lawson could be a tidy signing, more of a replacement for Jennings than Law. Never been entirely convinced that Vigurs and think Harkins is a more likely signing.
  5. Fine farewell from Chris Humphrey, good luck to him...
  6. McCall on the radio indicating that new goalkeeper will be Marshall's choice.
  7. Seems a strange one to me. Surely better options down south.
  8. This season has been an absolute privilege.
  9. Douglas is finished and Hollis is unproven. Gordon is also seemingly finished. Given that Randolph is one of our higher earners, I expect us to replace Darren with a keeper of similar calibre and potential. Easier said than done though.
  10. If we made the bottom section of the top white and had a colour scheme similar to the Stuart Elliott effort, it could have worked.
  11. Wasn't sure if this top was still available. Now that i know i'll not be buying either of the 2013/14 tops I'll be popping in for this soon. £20 is a bargain. Shame to see Puma let us down in the final year of their contract after some cracking efforts.
  12. Used to impress me with Scotland under 21s but faded before leaving Falkirk. Not in the same class as Law but may be worth a shout. There will be a host of players looking for a return north. Seen Gomes and Bauben linked with Aberdeen and Sevco.
  13. I actually can't wait for this game. Would like to see Higginbotham play in Ojamaa's position although that will probably hinge on whether we have any intention of keeping him. 6-3 Motherwell.
  14. Chuffed to bits for him and an honour for the club.
  15. Yeah, still not keen on it after seeing it today. Hope the Away one makes up for it...
  16. Local lad Lee Miller would be a more suitable replacement...
  17. Dont mind getting beat as long as Higdon and Faddy score.

    Ojamaa

Thoroughly deserved, outstanding talent and you'll struggle to find a harder worker. If he's with us next season I'll think he'll be our main man.
  19. Excellent recognition that the spine of our team has made the team of the year. Well deserved. Higdon has had a tremendous season while the other 3 are destined to play at a much higher level.
  20. I feared the worst when we didn't replace Jennings and Clancy. All expectations have been exceeded by some distance. Never have I seen a Motherwell team dish out so many hammerings in a season. Such a shame this squad won't represent us in Europe.
  21. Played them off the park at times today. Fantastic tactical move from McCall to put Hateley into the midfield to take care of Hooper. When did we last beat Celtic twice on the trot? For a long time, I've spoke about our inferiority complex against the Old Firm and other big teams but this squad has developed a mental strength I haven't seen since the 90s. Today was the icing on the cake to a fantastic season. Thanks Motherwell.

    Celtic

I thought Lasley, Ramsden and Hammell were terrific throughout while Henrik tore them apart in the 2nd half. Humphrey done a tremendous shift covering two positions at times but my motm was the outstanding Hateley. Full credit to Law for getting through the game. Didn't expect to see him for the 2nd half but went on to play a pivotal role.
  23. Any chat about the game? Fancied us strongly until Lennon's rant. If we can show the same determination and belief as last time then we will hopefully run them close. Not sure what Celtic players are on holiday but I'd be tempted to bring in Carswell for Humphrey just to tighten things up a wee bit in the midfield. 3 points would be the icing on the cake to a tremendous season. 'Mon the 'Well...
