  1. Frustrated. The shorts and socks are cracking but the top is a shocker IMO, way too much going on. The collar is gay and the sleeves are horrible. After some really good Puma efforts, we are back to an era where we are presented with a top that you hope is a grower. I doubt this one is... Is the anniversary top still available?
  2. Black Pony Tommy Coyne effort with the 2 white hoops.
  3. A black and claret version of option 3 would do nicely for the away kit. Always favour a white shirt but we are due a black one.
  4. Griffiths by a distance for me. Great to see Higdon in top 4.
  5. Higginbotham strikes me as the type of player that will take time to mature into a role before developing into a key player. A wee bit like McCornack and O'Brien. He's a talented boy and if he has his head screwed on, his opportunity will come at Fir Park.
  6. The Sun, I know, saying McCall is favourite for Sheff Utd job.
  7. Not sure that's how it would have shaped up after 22 games. At this stage of the season the top 4 of the middle 8 may well have been decided with the prospect of no relegation and promotion. Imagine Hibs, Hearts and St Mirren battling to avoid the relegation playoff slot while Morton, Falkirk and Livi jockey for a shot at promotion.
  8. Was interested to see where he would head today. If he was at St Mirren, the obvious links are Samson and Harkins. Think if McGowan is to leave St Mirren, it will be to head south.
  9. Mentioned on ESPN that the last top scorer outwith the old firm was Tommy Coyne.
  10. No it doesn't. 2nd place and Celtic cup win means 3rd round qualifier...
  11. Aye, we were paying £5k a week to wasters. Nothing like the professionalism of recent squads.
  12. Come back Boyle, sign this squad up for a couple of year, challenge for the league and generate some transfer fees. I'm all for us being self sufficient but a wee bit of wise investment could set us up for years.
  13. There was a moment there where I think we had 5 in each box.
  14. The first time I seen him I joked he was the Motherwell Fabregas. He didn't fall short.
  15. Pleased with today's outcome but I do wonder what is round the corner. Will St Mirren play a lead role in SPL2?
  16. If there was such an offer, I'd probably be more inclined to go with that rather than renewing ST...
  17. Roy MacGregor pushing for compromise. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/22135567
  18. Cheers NWF, much appreciated. Think the St Mirren statement will have affected the attendance as we are pretty sure it won't get voted through. Gambling company to be the sponsor? I've jokingly suggested 888.com but it's the only logic behind this setup.
  19. Anyone hear Stewart Milne get tore into St Mirren's position? All the sweeter given that Aberdeen dug their heels in over 11-1 when the voting structure was on the table.
  20. Maybe those Well Society members recently persuaded by Dempster and Weir can explain...
  21. That's the question that no-one will answer. Indeed, I think we'd all be prepared to go 12,12,18 as long as we had playoffs and the 888 was avoided. I can only assume that the potential sponsors backing this idea are 888poker.com or whatever. Pretty sure Ross County will seal the deal.
  22. As anticipated, St Mirren reject proposals. http://www.saintmirren.net/pages/?p=22463
  23. Sounds like Harkins may be on the radar.
  24. Shinnie and Doyle have signed pre-contracts with Birmingham and Chesterfield respectively. Davidson will surely head south too. I expect that most of our signings will come from down South but I wouldn't be surprised if he we sign 1 or 2 established SPL players. Samson, McGowan, Dayton, Harkins, Vigurs and Doran will be within the sights of a few SPL managers.
