  1. Supposedly interested in Chris Erskine again although Hibs are being strongly linked with him.
  2. Hibs lost 3 goals from crosses in their last match. They are missing the influence of McPake, while Stevenson and Maybury are obvious targets at full back. So if Humphrey and Murphy are in the mood you would expect us to have some joy. Where we may struggle though is in the midfield. They will have an extra man in their and Claros and Cairney have been very impressive. Griffiths meanwhile, has always looked very dangerous against us but he has been carrying an ankle knock for a few weeks now. In recent seasons I've always fancied us at ER because the crowd inevitably turn against them if the opposition make a good start. That has changed under Fenlon though. Would probably settle for a point but could easily be a convincing victory either way.
  3. When did we finish 2nd? IIRC, we were feart to have a go at Rangers and chase the 900k windfall. I had a go at McCall a few months ago but to be fair he has turned it round to an extent. Performances like last night will always happen when we don't replace experience like Jennings and Clancy. And for that reason, we didn't have a hope in hell of doing well in the cup this year.
  4. Tonight was always going to be a struggle against a well organised Aberdeen team. Without the craft of Law, it was almost impossible. Fair play to Brown for nullifying the threat of our wingers but it's far from rocket science. Hammell, Higdon and Ojamma didn't look sharp at all but performances like tonight are always likely with such a thin squad. - Shame to be knocked out another cup so tamely but the next 4 games could shape our season. Good results at Easter Road and Paisley and our cup exploits will soon be forgotten about. Mention to Reynolds, strolled through the game.
  5. 3,500 Motherwell fans at a Scottish Cuo replay with heavily discounted prices. Think back to the Tony Thomas era, 3rd round 3-1 win over Hearts, live on the telly. There was over 9000 at the game. Anyone that thinks we can generate the necessary funds for the well society to succeed is in cloud cuckoo land.
  6. Fear a late 2-1 defeat as Aberdeen are masters of grinding a team down. Praying for a repeat of our Dundee Utd replay in 2011. One of the best games at FP in recent memory.
  7. I actually thought he had one eye on Tues. Hateley has been brutal for months. Hopefully Ramsden can put a wee bit of pressure on him...
  8. Lasley for being back to his best. Can understand sponsors choice of Murphy though, I thought he was heavily involved in all our good play.
  9. Enjoyable game and delighted to come away with 3 points. We are playing some great stuff going foreard with Higdon getting excellent support from the dynamic trio of Humphrey, Ojamaa and Murphy. Lasley meanwhile was back to his old self today and deserved to net the winner. However, we continue to be brutal at the back, an issue which can't be addressed without the addition of an experienced head or two. Interesting subs from McCall today. Hope the 3 that departed are fully fit for Tuesday.
  10. Been a few years since I worked in the bank but in my experience an agreement which accommodates x months off before a final payment does not fit well with the purpose of a standing order mandate. The only way round this, again to my knowledge, would have been to set up 2 different mandates. The Bank are powerless to claiming money back from standing orders so yes I'm afraid it is the club you have to pursue.
  11. Adams will be well up for this. 0-1 Fitzpatrick.
  12. Apparently getting pelters from the fans that previously rated him very highly. Injuries must have taken their toll. Saunders was far from the finished article but he had plenty potential and was on a par with Hutchinson when McCall arrived. Again, it sounds like his injuries have taken their toll.
  13. Reckon we will miss out on the prospect of a TV windfall as they are spoiled for choice. Highland derby was an absolute belter. Looking at today's attendance the SFA's scheduling of the 4th round looks to have backfired.
  14. That Scott Davie is a c**t. Raith Rovers fan my arse.
  15. Indeed, don't know what's been said but it seems pretty extreme. Think Lennon got 3 games + 3 suspended for confronting ref on pitch at the Craig Beattie semi.
  16. Scott Vernon was playing the holding role in midfield during the week. Rae is likely to be back but they shouldn't be winning any midfield battle just now.
  17. As dreadful as our home form is, I'd happily take a replay just now. Although Aberdeen seem to be struggling with injuries, midfield in particular. Hope we are right up for it.
  18. Really composed finish from Higdon, while Ojamaa's pass and the subsequent strike from Humphrey was sublime. Really pleased for Humphrey, IMO he's looked like one of our better players for most of the season. Confidence is clearly a major part in his game so hopefully he can have a sustained purple patch.
