Spl,sfl.sfa Joint Statement On Reconstruction
Lobey_Dosser replied to Brazilian's topic in Club Chat
This is what I've been fearing since all the SPL clubs came out with their no votes. Corrupt to the core. -
Bradford boy shouldn't fit with club policy. Full focus should be on bringing in players that have a potential sell-on value. If we need any stop gaps ala Clancy, then hopefully we can use the loan market.
-
If there is any wages available then priority has to be a replacement for Jennings. We rarely played well without him once he had established himself and there is nobody capable of replacing him from within the club. Faddy is dreamland. As is Clarky and Reynolds unless we sell a couple.
-
Just woke up from horrific teeth falling out dream to read this. Pleasant turn in events although I don't see myself getting back to sleep now.
-
Sounds like a reasonable shout.

Great statement, bang on the money. We are a few weeks away from playing in a competition that we never dared dream of and the club decide to issue a scaremongering tactic on Administration. All in an 11th hour bid to bring their beloved Rangers back from the dead, a club that has crippled our fan base and community over the years with the allure of tainted success and small minded bigotry. Show some balls Motherwell.
-
Just using Randolph as an example - our biggest asset who would have signed for Morherwell with a view to using the SPL as a stepping stone. Certainly wouldn't push anyway out the door but it makes sense to ignite interest in players that are capable of playing at a higher level. Re the new era, the loosening of the stranglehold that the OF held should be sufficient motivation for fans, clubs and the sfa to unite and show some belief in our game.
-
Agreed, hopefully the club can get their act together in selling on players and stop handing out 2 year contracts to players with no sell on value. So sell Randolph to tide us over this season and work on developing a new wage structure for 2013/14. We have to grab the opportunity to play a driving force in a new era of Scottish football and we'll reap the rewards in the years to come. Would love to see some leadership and positivity from our Board.
-
So they spend £500k on investing in a squad that will take us to Europe and then tell us from March onwards, that we are unlikely to make money from CL qualification.
-
500k loss last season with the mighty Rangers and Sky ploughing money into the club. If accurate our financial model is fucked. Sell any assets we have on the park and start again.
-
So the prospect of administration had been mentioned in this letter?
-
Papers claiming that this is exactly what's happening after a 6 hour meeting with all the key players last night.
-
Is it possible that we have seen a few PR stunts today while a deal is being done to put the newco in SPL2? I personally doubt it but I've heard a few folk expressing such an opinion. Anyway, Motherwell related question. For newco to start in SPL2, the most likely scenario is for Rangers to be deducted x pts from last season to effectively relegate them and keep Dunfermline up. In such a scenario, would we then be entitled to the extra £900k prize money for finishing 2nd?

Wish him all the best wherever he goes. Outstanding performer during his time at the club.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco

The Rangers would no doubt appeal this in court. There has never been any intention to pay back their debts, otherwise a respectable CVA would have been fashioned. -

Dempster, Randolph ,Humphrey and possibly Law would tide us over. -

Something that has become crystal clear via this statement is that the well society has solely been formed to provide the club with an interest free overdraft. I don't believe the scaremongering as there is surely a contingency plan for relegation but I'd rather die with our heads held high. Vote yes and it's suicide. -

I don't think there is any need of a protest at this moment in time. Many SPL clubs and a significant proprtion of the media have reluctantly accepted that the views of the fans are aligned with sporting integrity and the future of our game. If our club decide not to listen to the reasoned debate our fans are offering, then it is time to throw the towel in. -

this statement has wasted my night, would like to know who was responsible for putting it together. Up until now, we have released timely statements with a balanced tone and dignified manner. Todays' work is completely out of sinc with what has went before. -

Spl no more according to Jim Spence. SFA planning to have new structure in place for beginning of season. -

A yes vote and the game will die overnight imo. -

No need to buy Clyde unless their application to the sfl is unsuccessful. -
Was Nerlinger not the first? Anyway, I'd be surprised to see any players coming in prior to decisions being made on The Rangers and the subsequent fallout from Sky/fans.

This is quite big news I think and I'm more than happy to see us investing in the structure of our youth development. Appointment of an Under 20s coach will be our biggest signing of the summer. Hopefully some strong candidates have applied.
