  1. League Cup Winners v Champions League elect. 'mon the diddly teams.
  2. Given the apparent effort to hit the initial 250k, I remain sceptical. Maybe businesses will start investing in the £25K package once the initial target has been hit though.
  3. If Saunders recovers from his injury he will be well in the mix to be a 1st choice centre half next season, while Clancy is surely a shoe-in for a new contract. Next week, 3 points are a must at Rugby Park as they have little to play for. Unbelievable that we haven't scored against them this season. Hutch and Clancy to come in for the two lads that deputised so well. 2-0 'Well.
  4. Came away from a midweek Celtic game at FP thinking that we had won 2-1. It wasn't until I got back to the horseshoe, I found out that an early Scott McDonald goal had been disallowed.
  5. Is it possible that we could go into the Rangers game at FP whereby a Rangers win would clinch the title for Celtic?
  6. I wouldn't take a draw either. I expect a positive reaction from last weeks disappointment. If we can get a grip of the midfield this time, they shouldn't get too many opportunities to impose themselves on or makeshift defence. Important that we don't lose any ground on Rangers.
  7. This is a conplete one off. I don't think an hour goes by at work without the champions league getting a mention. Enjoy it while we can.
  8. A year ago he was outstanding in the Dundee United replay and then done not too badly at Hampden. So he doesn't always go missing in the big games. Like anyone I'm frustrated that he hasn't consistently lived up to his potential but he is still a talented boy. A lack of confidence seems to hold him back as much as anything and that is partly down to him getting played out of position for 3 years. He seems to be in the same boat as Reynolds when it comes to getting stick on here. As it happens, I thought Reynolds coasted through the game on Sunday. Hammell was also subject to similar criticism before leaving for Southend. Maybe murphy is just cut out for playing at this level. If that's the case, I'd be delighted to see him stay and score 10-15 goals a season.
  9. If higdon can do a job at centre half then that would be my team. A 3 man midfield is a must, while they struggle to deal with pace down the wings. Ojamma is good enough to play upfront himself and would cause them bother.
  10. Had plenty of sympathy for him yesterday but if that's a genuine tweet he is a complete clown. Saturday could be tasty.
  11. Cup runners up to Celtic won't be in Europe will they? Hibs will do Aberdeen anyway.
  12. So just a one game ban? Does this add on to his points rally for the league?
  13. Given today's disappointment, you would naturally expect a reaction next week. At this moment in time though, it's hard to see us turning it round given our injuries and suspensions, while Aberdeen's squad will have a few key additions. Think we will need to score at least 3 to get 3 points.
  14. He pissed me off a wee bit today, tryting to do too much and losing the rag with his team mates more than once, He cut a frustrated figure but it was understandable. He was getting no service from the midfield and he ended up going deeper and deeper, searching for the ball. If we go with a 3 man midfield next week, he will do the business in the final third.
  15. Wouldn't get carried away with last 15 mins. We piled pressure on but it was one long ball after another, higdon v a handful of giants. Humphrey should have been used a lot more, particularly after skinning the full back for the goal. And while murphy was poor they couldn't handle his pace, thought he deserved a 10 minute stint through the middle. Law got the goal but I thought he was awful.
  16. Thought Ojamaa was a petulant wee so and so today. Another Scott McDonald trait. Hammell didn't look march sharp,, hoofing the ball at every opportunity. Jennings carried the fight but was completely overrun by their 3 man midfield. Clancy had an up and down game but I really like him, deserves a new contract. Randolph motm for me, couple of good saves and his quick throws was probably our most creative outlet. Although it's only a matter of time until we lose a goal due to his footwork.
  17. I'm at the front of the queue when it comes to praising lasley bit he hasn't learned from his daft fouls over the years. Refs don't let him off as much as they used to. Hope Fyvie is alright, thought he looked very good on the ball today, We looking at a 3 or 4 game ban here?
  18. Stinking performance ,terribly naive tactics. Certainly weren't helped by Craigan/Hutchison injuries, nor the decision for the corner. However, we played completely into their hands with the long ball shite and poor discipline throughout. Better prepared team won. Lasley, Hutchison, Clancy all suspended for next week, Craigan possibly injured. Some challenge...
  19. Forgot Rae would be cup tied, that is pleasing. Just need to take care of Arnasen in the midfield. Bad feeling remains but if we play to our potential, we should blow them away. 'mon the 'well...
  20. Derek Weir would have a pivotal role to play. Far from out our control.
  21. Similar bad feeling. Aberdeen long overdue a result against us and there season pretty much hinges on this. Hope I'm a mile out.
  22. Sound s like there are going to be some decent crowds this weekend. 3000+ hibs fans, 3000 + Aberdeen and there are only 200 tickets left at tannadice. Hopefully we play our part as well.
  23. As much as it would hurt me and leave a huge void in my life, I would turn my back on Motherwell if they played any part in fast-tracking a debt free Rangers newco into the SPL. The argument shouldn't be around what Rangers bring to the table in terms of finance. If they are guilty of corruption, they must be suitably published. Thankfully, I think liquidation will be avoided and Rangers can remain in the SPL while paying back the debts that they recklessly accrued. Hopefully our opinions are heard.
