  1. What's the age limit again with compensation? Just checking as to whether we would be entitled to a Chris Maguire type figure should murphy depart in summer 2013.
  2. I've never been a believer of the Well Society but if the accepted Blackpool bid is anywhere near £250k, then it surely sets a few alarm bells ringing.
  3. Shaping up to be a proper boot to the balls today. The joys of being a community run club....
  4. I'm all for selling players on at the right time but it would take a very decent offer for me to contemplate selling Hutchison halfway though a season. If he steers clear of injuries, there is plenty money to be made from him.
  5. Indeed. McCall wasn't too chuffed with black's comments. Lesson learned.
  6. What griffiths incident is regan referring to? His gesture in front of a travelling rangers support or the gesture that was accompanied by a foul mouthed rant at cowdenbeath?
  7. Reading through some of this twitter stuff. So according to daryl broadfoot, it is common practice for journos to phone the sfa on a sat night and flag up areas of concern. The game is well and truly fucked! I also had the misfortune of reading recent match reports from the suns Paul Hughes. What a prat!
  8. So it was a journalist that raised a complaint on Saturday evening. Any ideas? I can't stomach much spl fitba outwith Motherwell but I'll maybe watch a couple of games in the coming weeks, waiting to be offended.
  9. Can Motherwell take this any further? Given the fury aired by McCall on Mon/Tues, I suspect we won't accept this lying down.
  10. I'd be amazed if Higdon was available. With him and Craigan missing, Jennings and Lasley hold the key more than ever. 2-2 Clancy, Murphy. Wouldn't be a bad point.
  11. Fairly enjoyable game with the ref playing his part. Refreshing to seeing us play with a strike partnership. McCall was on the radio before the game indicating that ojamma is getting paid peanuts, hopefully we can get something sorted as there is money to be made. Same agent as law and hutchison incidentally. Impressed with how Hutchison stepped up to the plate in the absence of Craigan. Great to see law and Humphrey get on the scoresheet as well. Also credit to McCall for getting his tactics spot on after craigans dismissal. If I was a pars fan though, I wouldn't be too chuffed with Jim McIntyre tonight...
  12. Tasty encounter in prospect, looking forward to it. Outstanding result from Dunfermline today. They have made a couple of decent signings this month and will come into this game with some confidence. I hope we go into the game with almost a gung ho approach. Despite being bottom of the league, they are always good for a goal or two. If our key players look sharp and we set a good tempo, our pace and movement should be too much for them. Wouldn't mind Humphrey getting unleashed against the worst left back in the league. 4-2 'well.
  13. I remember when Higdon came up to Falkirk, it was reported that the fans abuse had driven him out of Crewe. Doesn't seem to be much of a favourite wherever he goes.
  14. Can't see by a 2-0 or 3-0 reverse. We need Jennings back and fit to have any sort of chance. Doubt McCall would go 442 but maybe it's time to give a 4312 a shot again. Far too predictable at the moment.0
  15. I think McCall is guilty of trying to get his best 11 on the park as opposed to going with the best available for each position. The cup final is the shining example when he didn't want to leave hammell out. Bringing in Clancy at rb everytime Jennings or Lasley is missing does us no favours. And you could argue the case that Murphy, Law and Daley are all playing outwith their natural position at present.
  16. I'd have taken imrie a couple of years ago but not now. Anyway we have more than enough players that flatter to deceive. Shame we can't stretch to a loan signing to freshen things up a bit.
  17. Worst Motherwell front line since we went through a spell where skippy couldn't buy a goal and he was playing alongside an absolute humpy in Jim Hamilton. McCalls signing policy has left us far too one dimensional which makes our early form unsustainable. A hard working team can get you so far in a game but we simply dont possess a centre forward that offers pace or movement to keep a defence on its toes. Hopefully we can embark upon a decent cup run to brighten up a sticky second half to the league campaign.
  18. 1 win in our last 8 league home games. Dire.
  19. Shiels staying would probably increase the likelihood of riordan signing. Good mates. According to sportsound though, if he stays in the uk for over 90 days his Chinese income will be hammered by the taxman. Regardless, they have a squad that should be targeting a top 4 finish.
  20. He would have thrived in the days of a 352.
  21. Sad news indeed, completely out the blue. Thoughts are with his family. RIP Bill.
  22. Agreed. Obvious talent but he would more than likely be a disruptive influence. The fact Hibs aren't interested speaks volumes. No doubt Ally will be having a look today though.
