  1. Would be hoping for a longer deal as once Hughes is in the team, he's the man that tends to make you tick. Shame we forked out a wage for Daley.
  2. Still scarred from our previous Friday night game with Hibs.
  3. Seriously? Hateley is a strong contender for our poty so far. Hughes would undoubtedly bring more goals to the team through his creativity.
  4. Murphy & Humphrey would also benefit from playing alongside Hughes while I imagine Hughes and Law would be on the same wavelength.
  5. I drove by Fir Park on Saturday, anxiously trying to get up to the house in time for kick-off. I've enjoyed going to the majority of games this season but TV games against non-OF teams are out the question.
  6. A fit Stef Hughes would walk into the team. Any indication in the interview that a deal is possible?
  7. I imagine McCall would have been banking on Saunders and Hutch getting a few goals from set pieces this season. Murphy does a power of work dropping deep either to try and create or to cover midfielders that are out of position. To get more goals, Murphy needs to be told to stay up front and run in behind. Such a move would leave us more open defensively but a player of Murphy's ability should be hitting 15 a season by now.
  8. I'm not quite getting the criticism of Hateley's corners. Cast your mind back to the days of Kevin McBride. I can think of 3 poor deliveries but there were a number of cracking deliveries that should have led to good efforts on goals. Porter, McDonald, Sutton & Juke would all have scored from at least one of they corners today. Sadly we don't have a striker that thrives on such opportunities.
  9. Decent enough game. I personally think both teams are over-hyped but both clubs have a committed bunch of players trying to play decent stuff. Plenty dangerous crosses into the box in the first half but nobody attacking them. I like big Higdon but he doesn't possess the natural instincts of a goalscoring centre forward. Second half started promising but I thought we lost our shape soon after the double save from the Killie keeper. Double substitution didn't help, either Murphy or Humphrey should have stayed on with a view to playing McHugh right through the middle. All in all, McCall and the players continue to do a good job.
  10. None of the attack minded players at the top of their game, Clancy the most solid of the defenders. Harkins best player on the park.
  11. I'll be on that too. Decent threat at corners.
  12. Hateley's free kick was a fine celebration, there was a great atmosphere all game and that rounded off the day perfectly. I think that kept us top of the league as well eh. Juding by the highlights from Saturday, Easter Road may well have been the highlight if I was there because that looked like a superb away performance that we controlled from start to finish. Bob McHugh's goal will stay with me for a while too. I liked what I saw of him in his sub appearance against Hibs and everyhting about that goal against Aberdeen indicated to me that we may have a very useful player at our disposal. Shame he hasn't had any minutes on the park since.
  13. Looking forward to this game albeit I'm always fearful that a St Johnstone type performance is just around the corner. Heffernan and Shiels have always been good players and seem to be doing the business for Killie so we will need to try and keep them quiet . Hopefully Murphy has got his confidence back and is set to go on a scoring spree. Massive that we keep winning in the run-up to the Celtic game.
  14. I imagine a helluva lot of work has went into this so I hope there are decent subscription levels. A fiver a month seems decent to me. Decent opportunity for whoever is involved in commentating etc. The boy that started off on Hibs TV has nailed a regular gig on Sky over the last year or so.

    Faddy

Celtic will be out of Europe by the time Faddy is fit. Challenging for honours? League Cup maybe. If Everton offer him a half decent wage with a shred of security, he won't contemplate going elsewhere.

Heading into hospital tomorrow for a wee operation. If this deal goes through the Doc would be as well ripping my heart out.
  17. There may well be a Scotland friendly in November.
  18. The win would have been 1-0 Sutton eh? Real blow that O'Connor is going to be playing, I struggle to see how we can handle him. If the Jennings lalsey partnership is on song we should be in with a chance. Hibs seems to have improved a wee bit at the back since putting Murray into centre half and Towell playing in midfield. Their two full backs should be there for the taking though.
  19. To be fair, he passed the ball out the park all day. Joked about it at the time mind you. I'm no sure if you can still bet on such incidents.
  20. Wazza's brief will sort things out. 10/1 for a red card is daft odds to offer
  21. I trust the SPL and Motherwell will stand by him until proven guilty.
  22. Lets hope we are still above them when they come to town on Nov 6th. If that were the case and we were to show some belief, Celtic would be well and truly there for the taking.
  23. Really didn't fancy us today so delighted with the victory. Glad to hear that Jennings put in a performance and Clancy/Craigan looked fairly solid. Two goals for Higdon most pleasing of all. Hopefully we can overcome the International break this time and hit our stride when we go to Easter Road.
  24. Managers get it in the neck all the time for making questionable substitutions. This has been blown well out of proportion.
