  1. Hearts season is all but finished. Tough decision for McCall but we could really do with resting our key men. Hampden is not a nice place to go to with tired legs. I think we could manage a point with a few of the fringe players in the team.
  2. If he goes on to have another blinding season but doesn't sign a contract extension he would be worth less money next summer than just now.
  3. Randolph is where the money is and this summer will be the optimal time to sell him.
  4. Outstanding run of results. Well done Motherwell.
  5. First natural right back in many years. If he can get his fitness up to scratch, his distribution and positional sense could be a major boost to the development of Chris Humphrey.
  6. Bang on the money and plenty of folk have seen through him for donkeys years. I was delighted when he originally came to the club as he had the credentials to steady a club in turmoil but never for a second did I have an ounce of trust in him. Truth be told, if Broon had got his way he would have overseen Lennon at Parkhead this season. He's a rat who's media profile benefited greatly from going missing after running the national team into the ground.
  7. Raith Rovers allocation this time last year: South Stand: I4, I5 and I6 - £25.00 South Stand: I3 - £22.00 North Stand: D2, D3 and D4 - £18.00 North Stand: D1 (Adult and Child) - £15.00 and £5.00 Child under 16, up to 4 per Adult. While the fans were still split at least the East & West were closed. I suspect Aberdeen and Celtic weren't wiling for Motherwell/Saints fans to be allocated £18 and family tickets in the North/South. Bonkers!
  8. He was on Radio Scotland the other week, talking about his journey since leaving Ibrox. Sounds a decent guy and came across very humble, pretty much admitted he was out his depth at Rangers. If he is relatively fit then he is a worthwhile option for us given our lack of a natural right back. Maybe he can score at Hampden for us this time.
  9. Sheer greed. Edit - just noticed as well that our designated singing section is in the North; so miles away from the core of our support.
  10. Typical Stuart McCall performance. He knows how to gets us going when it really matters. Full credit to every player who gave it everything. A memorable Fir Park evening.
  11. Would have thought the East and West would have been closed in an attempt to try and generate a wee bit of atmosphere towards the players. Going by the pricing structure, the North & South will be sparsely populated.
  12. Easter Road would have been dynamite. I adore Hampden but a cracking atmosphere at a tight ground would make for a much better atmosphere.
  13. Delighted to see Murphy back. Probably his best performance since Tynecastle. Jeffers, the player we were crying out for since Juke left. Intelligent footballer with great composure and touch and is therefore tremendous at holding the ball up and bringing the midfield into play. Masterstroke from McCall. MOTM for me though was Gunning. Clears his lines tremendously, likes the ball at his feet, good in the air and regularly helps out Hutchinson. The boy is going to make mistakes along the way but he is a proper talent.
  14. Crowd looked about right to me last night, I'd say the Dundee United support was just approaching 3000. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere last night and it shows the impact reduced prices can make for non-TV games. However there was a lot at stake last night. Same prices next week and you would struggle to break the 5,000 barrier.
  15. I assumed that would be the route we would go down. Surely a blue strip would be the away strip? Wouldn't be surprised though if we end up with a similar effort to the silver Sheff Wed strip provided by Puma.
  16. Injuries permitting, same starting XI that done Celtic. 'Mon the 'Well...
  17. Wee bit worried about our preperation with Randolph and Craigan being absent for the build-up however I'm interested to see how Dundee United perform when they don't have their manager in the week running up to the game. Our biggest game since Odense came to FP. Hopefully get a decent crowd.
  18. I would never invest directly in the club as it would be pished away and I couldn't be bothered running it but I would offer to buy a few players from time to time that I could potentially sell on for a profit.
  19. Many folk in the same boat I imagine.
  20. Agreed. Such an initiative is always asking for trouble, particularly when you are at a club that loses it's fair share of the case. I'm all for getting an insight into the thoughts of our manager but a game by game review is far from healthy.
  21. Gets a fair hand from the Refs I reckon. Really good footballer and offers qualities that are very much of a dying breed. Type of player that should have been made captain and it would have been wonderful for us to build the team around him. Since he signed a new 1 year deal last summer there was little doubt in my mind that he would move south this summer. Interested to see where he ends up. Think it is important for his own progression that he joins a club where he continues to be an integral part of the team.
  22. Never seen the game but the form of Murphy has been a concern for months. The boy needs a proper rest. And not just on the bench for a few weeks, he arguably needs a break away from training. The consequences of playing in European Preliminary games during the summer as opposed to getting a standard break between seasons has inevitably caught up with him.
  23. Of course we need to strengthen but it is never going to happen. Even if we sell Randolph for a decent price in the summer, little will be reinvested in the squad.
