  1. Flicked onto Clyde for 5 minutes and happened to catch the call. To be honest, while I appreciate where you are coming from I don't think you got your point across well. DOn't waste your time trying to get a rational debate out of Keevins.
  2. First time in years I've enjoyed listening to a game on the radio. Really fancied us pre-match and I'm delighted with the way it turned out. Chuffed to read such good reviews on Forbes, always said he is one of the most gifted players at the club. Really hope he can win a few folk over at Fir Park in the upcoming home games. Under McCall I get the impression that we will be far from consistent however we will have the spirit and belief to pull off a few upsets along the way. Given our record in big games over recent years, that'll do for me.
  3. We've been woeful away from home since Brown departed but for some reason I fancy us tonight. Would expect a positive reaction to the Ibrox debacle.
  4. I gather you don't put Motherwell on your coupons?
  5. Wee bit too young to remember us being relegated but I do remember watching France 98 thinking to myself that next time we qualify, I'll be old enough to go. I think it is the sense of unfulfillment with Scotland that keeps me hooked. While with Motherwell, nothing will ever beat May 91 for me.
  6. Tomorrow is the kinda day that I'll not go out my way to check the score.
  7. Had this debate on a number of occassions. And as I've said before, I'd happily trade off Motherwell being relegated in order to see Scotland get to a World Cup again.
  8. Very sensible pricing. Great stuff. C'mon Motherwell, ensure a good turnout by putting on some buses.
  9. Probably not as Ljunberg to Arsenal was only £3 million.
  10. That's my concern. I don't think he has been fully fit since he arrived at Arsenal. Very surprised he was offered a contract prior to a trial. In saying that I'm happy to give him a chance, if he can some reasonable level of fitness than he will score poacher type goals.
  11. You love Casagolda and rate Jeffers? You've lost yer marbles...
  12. There is no chance of relegation. Next season however, I'm quite excited about the prospect of a relegation battle.
  13. Outwith the clubs' hands I imagine last summer but it would make you weep when you think who walked away with the 3 year contract.
  14. Casagolda doesn't resemble a professional footballer for me. Shite timing, shite positioning, lack of co-ordination. Can't believe anyone thinks he had a better game than Murphy.
  15. No for me. Would cost a fair whack and it would take him a while to get his fitness, if ever. Now that we have missed out on the window, attention has to turn to nailing 1 or 2 quality pre-contract deals.
  16. With the exception of Casagolda, I felt for the players and McCall last night. Solid performances all round, 100% commitment, desire to win and some pretty decent football. Inevitably, the lack of striking options is going to be an issue. Hopefully we can really start banging in the goals from set pieces. Hammell's delivery has been top notch and Saunders & Hutchison offer a refreshing threat. Other than that, I wonder if McCall may be tempted to play 451 on a more regular basis. Given the amount of balls falling at the edge of the box, we really need a midfielder to support the front (John Sutton preferably) and hit a few shots from 20 yards. Does Ross Forbes still have his shooting boots? Really pleased with how Jennings and Lasley are playing just now. Back to the form they showed when Brown first arrived.
  17. Aye Jennings by a mile. Can't see him staying up here sadly.
  18. The trust was a step in the right direction, this is two steps back. Photo on the website sums it up.
  19. Clarkson was never coming back to Motherwell.
  20. Agree with that generally speaking but on this occasion we have been left with a squad that is not well equipped to achieve top 6 status. Failure to nail top 6 will put any long term plans in severe jeopardy; particularly when you consider the prospect of 3 teams being relegated next season.
  21. That is more to do with the club not selling itself well.
  22. Bang on the money. Any 'kid' that is close to being ready for first team football will undoubtedly get their chance in the SPL. What we needed was a wee bit of experience and depth to help guide the young ones that are settling into the team just now.
  23. Deal to Hearts far from done http://www.sportinglife.com/football/scott...hip&BID=425
