Aye, his howler at Ibrox could be a blessing in disguise. If MacGregor goes, I think Rangers will be quite content to have Alexander as their No.1. Talking of goalies, I've heard Craig Gordon will be back in the SPL next season with Celtic.

I love to see Humphrey coming on but I wouldn't start him yet, he's a good card to have up our sleeve. Don't think Murphy should be dropped, it's a tough call for Brown. I would be tempted to make a change in midfield though by resting Lasley and putting Coke in the middle, Forbes on the left. Although I doubt Brown will make any changes in the centre of midfield until we lose a game. 1-1 Sutton, Bryson.

Spot on. Sometimes he can look a bit overwhelmed in a game but when he gets his tail up, he is a joy to watch. Really deserves a run in the team now.

Could we be sued if an opposition player picks up a serious injury due to the state of the pitch? Or does the referee's decison to play the game prevent the club from being liable? I fear it's only a matter of time. You just need to look at the chunk of ground that comes away from O'Brien when he crosses the ball in for the goal.
-
Who do you drop? There is part of me that would like to see Sutton playing in behind Juke and Murphy. It would mean sacrificing our width though.
-
Tattie field is beyond repair in my opinion. Time to move ground.

Would have been more confident had Hibs won last night but now there is the realisation that if we beat Hibs on Saturday, then the race for 3rd place hots up. While Stokes, Riordan and Zemmama have been getting the plaudits this season, the two men that make Hibs tick are McBride and Miller. I think McBride is out so if we can get tight on Miller and nullify his impact, then there is every chance we can win this game. 1-0 'Well Coke.

Scotland come first, without a shadow of a doubt. As much as I love Motherwell, I'd be willing to take relegation in exchange for Scotland qualifying for the World Cup.
-
In isolation it's a decent point but with Hearts & United winning, while Aberdeen pick up an unlikely point, it's not been the best of days. Particularly with us facing Hibs next week.
-
There is no agenda behind it but on this occassion, I do believe that this particular Rangers fan running the line has allowed his instincts get the better of his professional judgement.
-
No much chat about the game tomorrow. Could really go either way. Will we face a hangover from Wednesday or will the sense of injustice drive us on to continue our good run? Impossible to drop anybody from the Rangers game based on performance but I wonder if we may need to freshen things up a wee bit due to tired legs. Wouldn't mind Murphy getting a good run-out, tends to do the business against the Accies. Could really do with 3 points tomorrow as it will be an extremely difficult game against Hibs next week.
-
I try to refrain using the word 'cheat' but on this occassion, it is merited. That decision on Wednesday night was well beyond incompetence.

Nail hit on the head. Look no further than the reaction to the Thierry Henry incident.

Blatant cheating swept under the fucking carpet. I hope Motherwell are pursuing the matter with the SFA.

Administration In 2002 - Memories, Causes & Opinions
Lobey_Dosser replied to David's topic in Club Chat
Watching Football Years the other week and it was mentioned that the players were offered a £5k bonus each to beat Rangers at Ibrox. Sheer greed by the vast majority of the SPL (excpetion of Celtic & St Johnstone) drove the game to the brink. In hindsight, Boyle was cute enough to call in the administrators early doors. At the time, the prospect of there being no Motherwell was earth shattering. As MB correctly points out though, the sense of unity that emerged in the aftermath will live with us forever. Fond memories of that era. -
I know Radio phone-ins isn't everyone's cup of tea but I hope there are a fair few 'Well fans on the night to lambast such blatant cheating. Still fucking pig sick.
-
Would agree with that. While there is an outside chance of reaching the top 4 we are only a defeat or two away from being in a real battle to finish in the top 6. One game at a time. Saturday is massive. Hopefully the sense of injustice from a terrific performance against Rangers can galvanise the squad further and keep the good run going.
-
I tend to agree with your opinions Frazzle but for soemtime, i think you have been well wide of teh mark with your views of Reynolds. Fair do's though, you are entitled to your opinion which i respect and there is probably sufficient evidence to back up your criticism. I think he is a fine defender though, blessed with pace and a great reading of the game. His aerial ability has improved and he is half decent at bringing the ball out of defence. For me, he isn't far off the Scotland squad. Last night though, he had a howling lapse in concentration. No one will be sicker than him today and I'm sure he strive to make up for his mistake in the coming weeks.

Lasley has bossed the Rangers midfield on more than a few occassion now. Terrific performance from him and Jennings in the middle, O'Brien ran riot, Sutton full of endeavour but my choice is Craigan. Outstanding performance.
-
You are a fucking idiot. Why would he not want to ram it home? Forbes came on to a good game last night, done well for the team and could have had another couple of chances if O'Brien had lifted his head.
-
Did we know play 3 centre halfs at Ibrox? Keep it simple, 442 and get in about them. Hopefully the game is tight and Murphy can come on with half an hour to go and make an impact.
-
Fine game against Celtic, good enough for me.
-
I never seen Rangers on Saturday but is Broadfoot now playing right back? I'll be delighted if the Whittaker Davis partnership is broken up. Unless Whittaker is now playing right mid and Davis is in the middle? Had a c**t of a dream last night, we lost 1-0 courtesy of Nacho Novo. We were playing up in Perth though .
-
I'm heartened by the lack of expectation this time round. In recent years, we have been guilty of really fancying our chances against Rangers but never registered a win. Given the run Rangers are on in conjunction with the lead they have over Celtic, I get the feeling a wee slip up is not too far away. Fingers crossed it happens on Wednesday. 1-0 Jennings.

Work no far from there, shall have to give it a try.
