  1. Hard to see anything other than 2 defeats to be honest; Hearts have found some form and Accies will turn the game into a battle. Tag a Scottish Cup defeat on the back of that and we really will be in trouble.
  2. Made a c**t of this, not clocking that the tenner offer was only available until Xmas eve. Wish I had paid more attention to this thread.
  3. As I mentioned the other day, while I would love to see Gannon's philosophy in football come to fruition, this is unlikely to ever materialise as Gannon will either move elsewhere or we will get embroiled in a relegation battle. Furthermore, given his post match comments tonight, how can he get everyone to believe in his style of play when he comes out and slates the players after the game? If he is interested in the long term, he should be protecting the players; not saying they are incapable of keeping a clean sheet against anyone.
  4. Jim O'Brien. Far too greedy at times but he at least he threatened to do something. Wrongly substituted imo.
  5. What is the bigger picture though? We are going backwards at the moment. On the back of a 6-1 spanking, such a heartless performance deserved to be booed at full time.
  6. I'm hoping Gannon is as scunnered as he sounded on the radio tonight because at this present moment, I'd be happy to see him walk. I was happy to see the experienced called back into the starting lineup today but as soon as the game kicked off I feared a dismal afternoon beckoned. First and foremost, there was no sign of the passing culture on show today. More worringly however, the team clearly lacks fitness and there is no heart in the team. St Johnstone are nothing special but it was clear to see that every player was fighting for the jersey and their manager. Without doubt, Gannon looks to have lost the dressing room. And is any wonder why when your leader prefers to publically criticise his players rather than shoulder the responsibility?
  7. Steve Ferguson was another in the Offiong mould. And as much as he turned out to be a twat, Brian Kerr should be nowhere near that team. He would stroll into the Underachievers XI though.
  8. I applaud Gannon for what he is trying to do. We could do with a character like him running Scottish football. I fear however that his philosophy in the game will never quite come to fruition at Fir Park because either he will move on or we will get embroiled in a battle towards the bottom of the table.
  9. Motherwell is all I ever knew as a kid. All I really remember from my first game is my dad making me wear 2 pair of trousers because it was baltic and I always had the cold as a nipper. Game was against Aberdeen, pretty sure Jess and Bett scored in a 2nil defeat. Jan 89 apparently? First away game sticks in my mind cleary, Ayr United in the Cup and we were sitting in the main stand with mostly ayr fans. Brian Martin getting us a 1-1 draw, Ally Graham scored a belter IIRC.
  10. Really need to go back to the 90s for genuine quality in defence with the likes of Martin, Mio, Nijholt, Boyd and McKinnon.
  11. ...................Smith Corrigan Craigan Delomeaux Hammell ..A. McCormack Brannan Pearson .....McDonald Porter McFadden Ross McCormack, Elliott and Lasley all unlucky to miss out on my selection. Clarkson & Quinn would probably make the bench. Fingers crossed Ruddy is mentioned in a decade's time but 4 months work at present doesn't merit a starting berth.
  12. This time next week, it could be very much believable. Fingers crossed we return to some form but if we keep persisiting in playing the way we have been, I can only see us going backwards.
  13. We need to go back to a formation that the players are comfortable with and make us hard to beat. How about a traditional 442? .......................Ruddy Moutaouakil Sauders Hutchison Reynolds ......Jennings Coke Hateley O'Brien .................Murphy Juke For me, Murphy has to play but we are sacrificing the shape of the team too much by playing him behind two striker. I don't think we can afford that luxury at the moment. I'd also bring O'Brien back, regardless of where his future lies, as we have been a shadow of our former selves since his ommission.
  14. Absolutely spot on. Can't get my head round this tactic.
  15. My dad, a stong Motherwell and United supporter, has just phoned to say he has been in a car smash. Shite day. With regards Motherwell, you have to worry about the confidence draining out the young ones. Experienced heads are required or we could soon plumet down the league.
  16. 2 weeks on he trot, we lose a goal seconds after one of they gay goalkicks. I love passing fitba but we just invite pressure against superior opposition.
  17. Ruddy saved our bacon there. Big test is to see if we can keep it tight for 1st 15 minutes of 2nd half.
  18. Need a midfielder on the park, given the change in formation.
  19. I appear to have lost my stream now.
  20. Agreed. We look wide open at the back.
  21. Fucking hell, should have been a 2nd. Might turn off sooner rather than later.
  22. Every fucking time we lose an early goal there.
  23. He has unearthed a gem in Hateley. Think we will do well to hang on to a top 6th place, with Aberdeen moving into 4th/5th. And we don't often hang on to a manager for more than 2 seasons these days.
