  1. While his form tailed off, I think I'd take Klimpl back. Good player to have about the team and would fit nicely into gannon's formation. Never going to happen though.
  2. I agree we need someone to play in the hole mate but I don't think Sutton will be the number one choice for the main striking role when the season gets underway.
  3. Disappointed that this unsavoury event reached national level, extremely disappointed if its a fellow dosser that is responsible for such coverage.
  4. Suggested to a few mates to bet against us. I doubt we will cope with the heat. I'd take a 3-2 defeat just now.
  5. I've been thinking along the lines of Frazzle. While he lacks the guile to be an out and out winger, I think his direct style of running and eye for goal could pay dividends if was to go a shot upfront. Regardless of his best position however, there is definately scope for him in the squad. Very handy impact player in my opinion.
  6. I'm intrigued to see what type of striker we are after. I'd take back big Sheridan in an instant but I doubt that will materialise. Paul Gallagher is another but I guess he will end up in the Championship.
  7. Think you are pretty much spot on with what we require, albeit I'd say a goalie is a must and we may have to make do with just the 1 striker.
  8. Precisely mate. I think the Jim Gannon philosophy is to get raw talent on board and turn them into gems. The thing I like about Gannon is that he appears to be genuinely interested in playing a pivotal role in developing the careers of young players.
  9. Flecth didn't have the best of season but I think he has the makings of a very good player. I've always rated him since he first came on the scene and his performance against us in November was a flash of how good he can be. He scored a peach of a goal last night as well.
  10. Quite impressed by this signing. Good times.
  11. Quite excited about Humphreys although the opinion of Shrewsbury fans appears to be split. Van Zanten is gash. Nade is a non-starter. He is on silly money at Hearts.
  12. Just spotted that Fraser Foster was also on loan at Stockport. Glad to see we are chasing a goalkeeper.
  13. So Ruddy has been on loan at Stockport a couple of times. Seems to be a pretty decent prospect but is well out the picture at Everton.
  14. I'm in the same boat as you star sail when it comes to Hughes. Yeah he had his share of quiet games along the way but he was a proper playmaker that we will miss greatly this season. Wish him all the best at Hearts. As long as he didn't end up at Aberdeen, I didn't mind where he went.

    Canterbury

When did that happen? The news is covering the emise of Diadora but I hadn't heard anything about Canterbury. This would explain the low levels of stock.
  16. Welsh commentary is the way forward.

Is the advice from the Police aye? I'm sure the Tartan Army will have travelled to far dodgier places.
  18. Really sickening stuff. I'm sure Motherwell will take the appropriate action albeit no consolation to the victims.
  19. With regards conduct on the park I'm no so sure, good few dirty tackles went in last that could have ended in tears for 1 or 2 of our players. Reynolds was lucky to escape from an assault on his knee in the first half. Digressing slightly but its brilliant to see Reynolds look a bit like his old self again.
  20. That was a joy to watch last night. Played some lovely stuff and the healthy travelling support done us proud. O'Brien MOM, Forbes a potential gem. Viva Motherwell.
  21. Haha. Get it right up ye McGhee.
  22. Considering Mowbray has an eye for youth with signings such as Dorrans at WBA, it wouldn't completely surprise me. He also bought Fortune on the back of his performance for Nanct at FP and IIRC, Murphy wa sour only shining light that night. More than likely to be a rumour but it is plausible. Massive season beckons for Murphy, his performance the other night was a slight cause for concern.
  23. I'm somewhat apprehensive about the imminent arrival of players at Fir Park. Obviously we need to bring in loads of players but such change failed drastically under Davies and Kampman. Gannon has a tough job in his hands but I just hope he appreciates it is important a Scottish/Motherwell identity about the club as opposed to flooding us with an abundance of lower league English players who may or may not settle into the SPL.
