  1. McAllister is no McGhee. Ambitious maybe but he wouldn't whore himself in a McGhee type manner. As much as I adore McAllister though, I do question his management record. In saying that, guys like Fabian Delph are full of praise for the influence of McAllister.
  2. While I have refrained myself from the hype that surrounds Nijholt on these boards, that article certainly gets the juices flowing. There would certainly be an overwhelming sense of anticipation at the beginning of the season. Looks like he would be looking for a few quid to bring in a few experienced lads. Not so sure Boyle will be able to pull a Porter/Hughes rabbit out the hat this time.
  3. Given the noises coming out of Rugby Park aboutnew signings for next summer, I wonder if Jeffries might call it a day at Rugby Park. I doubt things are not much better at Fir Park but I would like to think that whoeever comes in will be able to make a fair few signings to replace the out of contract lads. I know a lot of fans don't like Jeffries but he has mellowed over the years and if he becomes available, I'd like to see us pursue him. And he can bring Kyle, Bryson & Kiegan Parker along with him. Other than Jeffries, Gannon or McCart would be my preferred choices.
  4. Aye, I would agree that there is no chance of McLean following McGhee up north. I just hope the likes of Craigan are in position to advise Boyle to offer McLean a new contract. I understand if he decides to move on to the likes of St Johnstone or St Mirren though.

Not doom and gloom in the slightest. Exciting times ahead.
  6. £15 is a tad on the steep side. Reckon we will struggle to get more than 4000 there.
  7. If Gannon applies I imagine he will get it. Sounds like a bit of a character mind you.
  8. That is never going to happen to the media darling.
  9. I imagine Hughes & Klimpl will definately be heading up there. And with Graema Smith, it depends how much he rates Langfield. This is what infuriates me though it would appear that no effort was made in keeping these boys at Fir Park as McGhee probably expected for a day like today to come to fruition. They have no chance of getting Clarky at present but that may change come January.
  10. I interpreted it the same way and I'm quite happy to see Boyle go down that route.
  11. Ha, never too early. It amazes me though that a significant element of our support would welcome back a man who has treated our club with so much disrespect. In my eyes, this is far worse than the Pearo saga who was a naive boy influenced by a shark of an agent. The fans weren't so forgiving back then.
  12. Please come back Mark. I know you have aspirations to move to a bigger and better team. And quite rightly so as you are the best thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately however, the timing has not been right on this occassion. So come back to Fir Park and produce the flowing football that you are capable of, and then maybe, just maybe, you can get your dream move to Parkhead one day. All is forgiven.
  13. Today I started to rule out the likes of McCart as I doubt we could afford to pay compensation for anyone in a job. I'm interested to see if Jim Gannon applies.
  14. I canny believe McGhee was on £200k and Leitch £100k per annum. No wonder we couldn't afford any new players.
  15. If he doesn't feel he has enough experience after a few years as Assistant Manager then I'd say he doesn't have much faith in his ability. Like yourself though, I doubt the story is 100% accurate.
  16. Sounds like the saga is almost over. Cheers for 5 months of tremendous fitba that ultimately led to a fine trip in Nancy ya arrogant whore. Onwards and upwards for the 'Well.
  17. To be honest, I doubt he would be interested either. Think he has enough of SPL football for the time being.
  18. Out of all the names mentioned within reason, Jimmy Calderwood looks like the 'safest' bet.
  19. So Leitch isn't interested, that should put an end to all the 'Motherwell man' pish. Bullet dodged imo.
  20. Two years down the line and he'll still not have came up with an adequate replacement.
  21. If we could ensure that no SPL team goes bust, I'd love a season of no live coverage. It would be tremendous if we could all kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday and have a decent highlights package. I remember I used to get excited when the cameras were at Fir Park, knowing that we would be the main game on Sportscene that night.
  22. Its all over. Good riddance to shite coverage.
  23. Is Fraser a certainty with McGhee leaving?
  24. Reading between the lines I subscribe to the train of thought that McGhee is waiting to see exactly what happens with the Mowbray saga. If that is the case, I wouldn't be too happy if I were an Aberdeen fan. Despite the sentimental attachment he discussed at the weekend, he doesn't seem overly enthusiastic about heading up there.
  25. I'd be very disappointed in Boyle if he hasn't already sounded out a few options. Can't believe some folk are hanging on to the possibility of McGhee making a U-turn. Get him tae fuck! As for McCall, please no!
