  1. Bigirimana wouldnt be short of offers down south but I hope hes one we hold onto. Many people rubished talk of 8-10 signings in the summer and we ended up with 17. There are ways and means to get players out the door and from various snippets and rumours, there are a few players looking to exit. For what its worth I wouldnt be surprised to see Fisher, Griffiths, Kipre, Rose and Dimi depart. Few others could be in the mix too.
  2. I suspect we will be looking at 5/6 ins and outs in January. Someone above Robinson needs to pull the reigns in a little though as he seems to get carried away with turnover, just like Baraclough. The last month has showed that the mindset of quantity over quality and character over quality doesnt get you very far.
  3. Tait, Hartley and Dunne not training but it sounds like they will make it. McHugh both concussed and suspended. Given the recent criticism of our forward play, Id like to see MacLean thrown in. If he is fully fit he deserves a chance.
  4. Match fit and able to adapt to the pace and rigours of Scottish football, particularly when we have 6 games in 18 days to contend with. Given the relatively small amount of income that we will make from the Moult deal, I dont think we would have agreed to sell our star man mid-December unless we have someone proven lined up or confident we have unearthed a gem.
  5. Tommy Coyne is the one that always sticks in my mind. Seeing him unveiled on Reporting Scotland before leaving for Fir Park. Patrick Thistle iirc? Regarding Kipre, there have been 1 or 2 hints from the manager to suggest they are anticipating bids in Jan.
  6. It was mentioned on BBC last night that Robinson has plans for 2 strikers, well probably end up with more. Regarding Bigi, I got the impression in the summer that we were going to build the team around him and McHugh but for a variety of reasons, that hasnt materialised. Hes the technical type of player I like to watch and he certainly doesnt lack effort but he just doesnt look suited to our style of play, few footballers do to be fair. Given hes one of our higher earners and has a young family, I wouldnt be surprised to see him return South in Jan. He wont be short of offers.
  7. Crossed my mind while watching the game at Ibrox, that such a run usually has us calling for a youngster to get s chance. That doesnt seem to be the case this time. I havent been able to pay close attention to the fortunes of the u20s this season but is anyone close to a breakthrough? Turnbull looked the bright prospect last season and Brown came highly rated, how they doing? When Craigan was asked about our prospects on BT, Turnbull and Maguire were the two mentioned.
  8. I think well be looking to ship out a few. There has been murmurings of surprise departures and/or players not settling. On the back of tonights post match interview, I wouldnt be surprised to see Bigirimana, Fisher and Griffiths go. Maybe Rose too for different reasons. Like Baraclough, Robinson seems to enjoy a transfer window. Hopefully this time, we go for quality over quantity.
  9. Robinsons next signing could very well make or break his time at Motherwell.
  10. One of our biggest assets during our positive start to the season was our endless energy but we appear to have blew up in recent weeks. And without Moult to make the most of percentage football, we look to be the worst team in the league.
  11. We are utterly fucking woeful with the ball. 8/9 teams in the league would have beaten this Rangers team tonight. Fail to replace Moult properly and we are in serious danger.
  12. Writing was on wall after Carson needlessly gave away corner.
  13. What a chance that was for Tanner. Well be doing well to finish with 11 tonight, living up to our reputation with a few questionable challenges.
  14. Weve been careful with Campbell since he started playing for Scotland u21s, need to guard against burnout! Id love him in instead of Rose though.
  15. Loanbank quadrant just off Helen Street is where I tend to go. No bother getting a space if you arrive 45 mins before ko. Decent getaway too.
  16. Shame this game isnt on Boxing Day, unnecessary break from tradition imo. From what Ive seen of Rangers in recent weeks, including 90 mins at Easter Road and Rugby park, they remain utterly diabolical. Unfortunately our lack of attacking options limit our chances but I take hope from the fact St Johnstone won comfortably with a 2nd string frontline. IIRC, all 3 scorers notched their first of the season at Ibrox. If Fisher is fit, Id start with him rather than Bowman and flood the midfield. While Fisher hasnt had a great start, he is capable of leading the line. Hopefully Carson and Hartley make it.
  17. Am I right in saying we have a honking record against Dundee at Fir Park? Having been out the country when we won 3-1 under McGhee, the only victory that really springs to mind is the 4-2 with Faddy and Elliott. Can remember a few more doings though.
  18. Not for the first time this season, I thought Dundee looked pretty decent from the highlights at the weekend. A team that is committed to passing and moving with a couple of in-form players in OHara and Moussa. Anything is possible when you play the percentage game like us but if we dont have Cadden and Hartley back (I assume Carson is definitely out) then Id say Dundee are favourites given our severe lack of cutting edge.
  19. Listened to 2nd half on BBC. Sounded like we had a good go but ultimately a lack of quality in front of goal is going to cost us more often than not. A very disappointing week but far from surprising. The absence of Moult, Cadden, Carson, Hartley and now Frear is too much to deal with. Thankfully, we got plenty points in the bag early doors but if we fail to pick up a win before January, the threat of relegation will return yet again.
  20. Michael Stewart, seriously? I think hes one of the best around. Enjoy listening to him and Tom English more often than not.
  21. That would be my team, with Fisher ahead of Bowman. On paper, Grimshaw, Campbell and Bigi bring a balance in midfield that weve rarely seen this season. Whatever the lineup, I hope we can go with a consistent team for a few weeks so that players know they have more than 45mins to prove themselves.
  22. Carson, Cadden and Hartley all still out. Late fitness test for Frear.
