  1. Disappointing end to the week, particularly when you look at the players missing from Celtics starting lineup. Strange setup from us though which again had us making 2 subs at ht. its great to have a competitive squad and tactical flexibility but this week suggests Robinson doesnt know what his best midfield is.
  2. Yeah after seeing Suttons tweet, I can see why it was given. Neither pen decision is as clearcut as they initially looked, hence the split in opinion for each decision.
  3. No need to issue a statement imo but appreciate the club are under pressure to apphease a particular cohort of our support.
  4. Robinson and Burrows have played it perfectly once again, showing real maturity and a touch of class despite the raw emotion. This is in stark contrast to the likes of Lennon who once again lost the plot on Saturday regarding Accies physical approach. While Im sure our grievances will be aired through the appropriate channels, other clubs will be looking on in admiration at how we are conducting ourselves in public. Heres hoping we can get the 3 points on Saturday that our efforts deserves.
  5. Incompetent but the lack of talent isnt limited to Scottish football. The sooner VAR is introduced the better.
  6. Rangers have retained numerous titles that were gained via financial doping. The consensus amongst spfl clubs was to move on when Rangers lost the latest HMRC case. If you dont want to follow the sport because its corrupt, then that was the time to call it a day.
  7. Referees are incompetent not corrupt. Reckon we have a chance here and Ill hopefully get to this after missing tonight. Celtics game with Anderlecht on Tuesday will influence their lineup and could lead to a couple of key absentees.
  8. Both are dives but the argument from all including Faddy, is that contact was made and ultimately thats all it takes. I still dont believe it was a pen on Sunday but now understand that under the new rules, once a decision has been made to give a pen, the ref had no option but to send Kipre off due to the nature of the foul i.e there was no attempt to play the ball.
  9. The full Radio Scotland panel (Miller, Faddy, Gordon, Dodds and Bonner) who believe the Kipre decision on Sunday was soft but correct, all of the opinion that tonight was a mistake.
  10. Only managed to catch the last 25 mins on radio due to work. Sounds like Carson had a blinder. Disappointing that we couldnt bring their unbelievable run to an end but you cant grumble at a point. Credit all round. We go again Saturday.
  11. Just got round to watching the press conference. Robinson and the club have got this absolutely spot on. There is no point in appealing when the damage has already been done and the pending penalty is minimal. Thankfully the club appear to have learned from the McGhee meltdown when we were chasing various appeals and our season fell apart. We all know Thomson got the pen and red card wrong but theres nothing to gain from appealing, particularly when the SFA have turned a blind eye to Kipres previous misdemeanour. Roll on tomorrow.
  12. Is that definite? Maybe there is a consensus to move on given a retrospective red for his tackle on Dembele would possibly give him a 2-3 league game ban.
  13. Do we honestly think Thomson is a cheat? I think hes incompetent as even if it was a pen, there was no justification for a red. I think hes being wrongly influenced by seeing the Kipre tackle back at ht.
  14. I think I heard that on off he ball too. Ill take either, important for us to kick on in the league now.
  15. Did the winning run not start against us? Think St Johnstone were the last team to beat them. Anyway, Celtic at home on Wed is the perfect game imo. If the players are not mentally and physically fatigued from Sunday, then we have an opportunity to channel our emotions and have a right good go at them. Id keep changes to a minimum but there does need to be a tweak in midfield, bringing in someone that is capable of retaining possession. Expect Roberts, Griffiths and Rogic to start for them which will present a fresh challenge for Hartley & co.
  16. Players will always cheat, its human nature. In game VAR to punish them though could be a partial solution.
  17. Agreed, VAR is the only way to address refereeing incompetence, which is the key issue here.
  18. Ha. I rate this Celtic team but they were far from brilliant today. They were potentially there for the taking but we werent good enough. Thats not a criticism, just an understandable gulf in quality.
  19. Tait was excellent. Carson and Hartley solid. The rest average.
  20. We rode our luck in the semi with regards to refereeing decisions so its hard to get caught up on today imo. Celtic were by far the better team as you would expect and sloppy play for the 1st sealed our fate. Move on to Wednesday with a view to exploiting any complacency.
  21. Done well to get in 0-0 at ht but Celtic lifted it from there. Before the pen the much maligned James Forrest proved the difference, seriously underrated. No complaints, Celtic proved to be a class above as expected. Getting to the final was a fine achievement.
  22. I am a tad surprised with our numbers, around 11.5k max by the looks of it. Understand the reasons though.
  23. Disappointing then if some of the best seats in the house are left empty. Although the numbers suggest the part time h**s have severed all ties with us, which Im absolutely delighted with.
  24. Presumably Celtic have been given the remainder of the south stand top tier?
  25. With Lustig injured and a lack of rb options, I was wondering if theyd go with Forrest as rwb and either Sinclair or Macgregor on left.
