  1. Going by the highlights, Turnbull looked very assured. He must be near the top of the list for making the breakthrough.
  2. Good effort from the boys. First coupon of the season up. Bookies haven't quite got to grips with this competition, 4 u20s teams to lose was 12/1, Motherwell the only team to really compete.
  3. Docherty signed a new contract after his Easter Road performance. Agree that all 3 would be welcome additions, Crawford may be a possibility if we make a move early on.
  4. Game is on periscope. Nice play by Newell to set up the equaliser.
  5. A fantastic day of business for Motherwell. Raked in a hefty sum in transfer fees and we've managed to recruit 2 experienced players that the manager knows well and seem a perfect fit for the club (this time last year McGhee was googling Luka Belic). Moult signing an improved contract offer would be the icing on the cake.
  6. Ross County boy. No chance really, just view him as an ideal replacement.
  7. Good luck to Ben, always rated him despite the obvious drop in form last season. Sheff Utd is a very decent move and if he makes it, he could easily move for big money in a couple of years. Hoping the experienced replacement is Hutchinson or Davies but that's obviously unlikely.
  8. So not Blackburn then, possibly Birmingham? I'm a fan of Heneghan but I'd view anything in the region of £400k as good business if we have an approropriate replacement lined up. Furthermore, given the market in England, Ben could end up moving for daft money if he hits the ground running in the Championship as illustrated by Marvin today, so a future windfall is possible. Wonder who the replacement will be. Presumably someone still attached to a club if we plan to announce today. Shame Hutchy is getting a game for Millwall.
  9. Looks like former Baraclough target Jackson Irvine is heading to Hull for £2mil+.
  10. There is no rush with McGinn as he is without a club.
  11. Terrific result. That'll be our first win over a big team for a while. I hear there was over 4000 in the home end too, quite a lift from recent seasons.
  12. Disappointed Campbell isn't starting ahead of Rose. No surprise Bigirimana is on the bench. Hopefully Kipre and Ben can handle Lafferty.
  13. George Long I think, playoff season.
  14. I like Tait but he has looked suspect defensively since day 1 and failed to improve. If Paul McGinn can recapture his Dundee form, he'd be a decent upgrade.
  15. Fine news regarding Cedric. Imagine we'd look to do the same with Newell or Petravicius if their form warrants it.
  16. Appreciate Bowman has made an impact on occasion but if there is an opportunity to offload him I think we have to go for it. Particularly if it leaves enough room in the budget to recruit a Moult successor on a 2/3 year deal before Moult actually departs.
  17. Fine strike from Livingstone on his weaker foot. Good to see Gordon score a couple. I think he got thrown in too early last season while the team was a shambles. He may well benefit from a more gradual introduction to the first team this season. Very early days but I've heard good things about Liam Brown during his time at Queens Park and the early snippets look positive.
  18. Previously linked Nadir Ciftci joins Ainsworth at Plymouth. Season long loan.
  19. Welcome 3 points to prevent any unnecessary pressure building. Good to hear Campbell got an opportunity to make a impression, maybe he'll displace Bigi or Rose next week.
  20. 3-2 win for 'Well at fortress Fir Park. Bowman, Moult and Fisher to score from 3 crosses. Plummer motm. Dodgy red card for Ross County to be swept under the carpet.
  21. I'd love him to turn it around but he's not been anywhere near the first team squad in how long? Did he make the bench during pre-season?
  22. No. He clearly has no future at FP while Jake is one of our brightest prospects.
  23. According to Luke Watt, both him and Jake Hastie have joined Airdrie on loan. Interested to see how Jake does.
  24. So according to Robinson's comments in the press conference, both Moult and Heneghan are willing to run their contracts down. Presumably with a view to signing a pre-contract in January. I don't doubt the commitment of both but losing them for free would be detrimental to the club model. While I understand the argument that Moults goals are of greater value than a likely transfer bid, I'd rather see him move just now with a view to investing in a adequate replacement that we'll likely have been working on for months, then the cycle starts again. Having said that, any reasonable offers look unlikely and Moult/Heneghan may already know where they are going next summer.
  25. Going by twitter, it's been confirmed that Moult has rejected the contract on offer. No surprise there but let's see how much genuine interest there is in him. If there are any offers from England in region of £500k, I think we should take it, the sooner the better.
