  1. Quite like Polworth from the snippets I've seen, certainly fond of a long range goal. Can't see a deal being possible though unless he has a relegation related clause in his contract and/or we are selling Cadden.
  2. I was thinking Liam Brown but he's generally bracketed with Dylan King.
  3. Sheffield Utd have been linked with Heneghan since his Chester days. Fingers crossed something can happen here. Given the premium on English centre halves (Keane £25m, Maguire £17m) they may view him a worthwhile punt at £250k.
  4. I'd guess a back 3 but for Frear's sake, I hope it's a back 4. Good to see MacLean make the bench, shame Campbell has missed out. On paper, Morton look like a team who could cause us bother. Interested to hear how Quitongo performs as he returns from injury.
  5. Blyth and Watt are the two obvious players we want out. Possibly McManus and Bowman at a push if we don't sell any of our big assets. Regarding MacLean and Campbell, I wouldn't like to see either go out on loan. Both are good enough to make a positive contribution to the first team and should be central to the progression of the club. I accept finances dictate our mass recruitment from down south but we need to leave room for our own products to flourish and help maintain the identity of the club.
  6. I still can't get the video to work. Looks like it could be Shaq.
  7. Aberdeen progressing in Europe despite starting with Stockley upfront. If they are anywhere close to meeting Motherwell's valuation for Moult, surely a fresh bid can't be far away with the next round in mind. With a supply chain of Christie, Stewart and GMS, he'd score a ridiculous amount for them.,
  8. We made an offer for him in January but he wanted to remain down South. Highly rated at Spurs but has failed to fulfil his potential since Peterborough spent a bit of money on him. Strikes me as the type of player that could excite and frustrate in equal measure.
  9. No idea how reliable @TheFLZone is but Shaq Coulthirst is getting a mention on twitter again.
  10. Main concern with this system is that we won't get the best out of Frear. With another couple of signings to come, we can hopefully revert to a back 4.
  11. That is very welcome news regarding Craig Clay, credit to all parties for finding a solution. Good luck to Clay with his new team. You can't question his application or dedication but he was evidently well out of his depth. Assuming Blyth walks, is there any further McGhee deadwood we need to get rid of?
  12. I reckon Killie could be an option if he doesn't mind the plastic pitch. I wouldn't rule out Hibs either despite the events of last summer, particularly if the Stokes deal falls through.
  13. Love Skippy but time to move on. Him and Robinson probably don't see eye to eye.
  14. McDonald has been on Radio Scotland the last 3 days. If his family isn't set on going back to Oz, maybe he'll line up against us this season.
  15. Cheers Holly. This should free up a few quid. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/1289728/motherwell-striker-jacob-blyth-geordie-shore-holly-hagan-powder-hippy-crack/
  16. Agreed. Just wondering what movement he was suggesting this week if it isn't Moult leaving.
  17. Post match, Craigan says he expects Moult to be here when the window closes...
  18. Decent enough start to the season with some really well taken goals. Back 3 gives me the fear but Robinson is clearly trying to address this area. I suspect our general play won't be pretty this season but it'll hopefully prove effective if we can maintain a spine of quality players. Morton could be a proper test next week.
  19. Rangers still keen on Jamie Walker by the looks of it. If this eventually happens, I can see Hearts coming back in with a testing offer for Cadden.
  20. Afraid it was a textbook Dom Thomas performance. If McCulloch can get a final ball out of Dom then all credit to him.
  21. Indeed. After all the due-diligence prior to making the appointment, the twitter feed didn't last long.
  22. Erwin wouldn't be a direct replacement for Moult but he's someone I'd take back at Motherwell. No idea if him and Robinson got on well at Oldham but if they did, I imagine we'll have made enquiries. Erwin certainly offers the athleticism that Robinson craves. Having said all that, he's being linked with the likes of Charlton and MK Dons so would be surprised to see him leaving Leeds without a deal to an English club being close to completion.
  23. Don't think Dembele will be much of a miss. Unless McManus is crocked, I think we have far greater priorities tbh.
