Motherwell and Moult are playing this perfectly. Main frustration however is that there doesn't appear to be much of interest from clubs down south. Hopefully that changes prior to late August. Here's hoping this can be solved sooner rather than later, allowing us to reduce the debt by £200-300k whilst leaving scope to bring in 2 quality players on a decent wage. With at least 1 of the players meeting the Marvin/Moult blueprint.
-
Just a thought all those players flow was excited about on Robinsons wish list do you think we've got any of them so far
-
Aye but he'll not be playing as a striker.
-
McInnes wants a proven goalscorer to compete with Rooney. The centre forwards mentioned above, Storey and Stockley, aren't up to the task and will be offloaded in due course.
-
I think Aberdeen will still be looking for a centre forward but depending on the fee paid for GMS, an increased offer for Moult may well be out the question now.
-
I have no problem at all with Moult comments, I just feel he is under valued. I read Hibs rejected 1milion for McGinn For me Moult has been the most consistent player outside Celtic 1st team. An offer of 250k is an insult we paid 175k for Shaun Mcskimming

No surprise if we go down the 4231 route. However, for that formation to be successful you need a right good number 10. We may or may not have made an offer for Scougall or Carey but either of them would have made perfect sense. Surprises me that we seem content with a list of unproven options for such a key position.
-
His comments are perfectly fine. He and the club know it's mutually beneficial to get him sold in the next few weeks. Shame he's not fit enough to bang in a few goals during the League Cup and generate further interest.
-
Good luck to him. If he's going to flourish anywhere, it's likely to be Kilmarnock. Good young manager that is committed to giving kids the chance and playing football in the right fashion. Hopefully with any opening for first team football, will make Dom screw his head on and fulfil his potential.

Concern for me is that we've spent our budget without replacing McDonald. Finding a replacement is easier said than done, just look at Aberdeen recently, but I'm surprised we've not done more to replace him directly.
-
We've signed a number of players that come with questionable credentials, including Dunne, Rose and Tanner. That doesn't mean they can't develop at Motherwell but I'd have expected 1 or 2 more quality additions in the Moult/McHugh mould. Really surprised and to an extent, concerned, that we haven't opted to replace McDonald. This should have been our top priority going into the summer.

Anyone listening to the BBC commentary? Did I hear Carson knocked back £1800 a week at Hartlepool? Generally, commentators are taken aback by how poor we are,
-
Yeah don't think that's far away from out strongest lineup at present. Although the prospect of Rose replacing McDonald doesn't fill me with confidence. Wonder what the script is with McManus. Having played with the u20s on Sat, is he gradually working his way back to fitness or will he be involved in the wheeling and dealing...

Looks like Dembele is still considering our offer. Burrows reiterating that the man released by Barnet is a 'wanted man'.
-
Burrows also stated that we've only had 1 official offer for Moult. That'll be the £250k from Aberdeen.
-
I don't doubt Aberdeen could spend £500k on a player if they really want to but surely their priority for now is getting a player for the upcoming EL qualifiers. Moult won't be fit for them.

Seen the rumours last night. Dom will be doing well to remain in the premiership. Plenty of natural ability but he's hindered his own development since clinching a long term contract under Baraclough. I have no doubt Robinson would be interested in Jordan Jones. Initially, it was reported that he was out of contract this summer. According to Killie fans though, it was confirmed at an AGM that he has another 2 years to run (albeit possibly on low money).
-
Not too fussed about the scoreline. I may have missed it on twitter but was Cadden an unused sub?
-
352 by the looks of it. Few notable absentees within the smaller squad today. Wonder if that's due to injury or wheeling and dealing. Good to see Turnbull make the bench.
-
Carson will still be consoling his father after Tuesday.
-
Personally, I hope talk of a £400k bid from Aberdeen is genuine as it will spark interested English teams into action. Barring a long injury layoff, he will be sold this summer. The sooner we get an acceptable offer, the better. He'll go down as an all-time favourite but while we have debt to pay off, we need to cash in our assets when the time is right.
-
I do wonder if Moult's injury problems with his groin, stemming back to the end of 2015/16 season when he played through an undiagnosed issue, could put a hault to a significant move. Last summer he played with pain killing injections when required before getting his operation. This summer, Robinson doesn't appear to be particularly clear on when Moult will be ready to return.
-
Robinson reiterating that he's looking to bring in 1 more defender and a striker but there needs to be outgoings first.
-
McLean has been really unfortunate with injuries. I'd like to him and Campbell will get a fair amount of game time this season. The depth of our midfield options should allow them to dip and out the team and prevent the perceived burnout that Cadden experienced.
-
I think we'll be doing well to have Moult back for the Rangers game. Our new attacking midfielder playing right back tonight?
