  1. I'm not looking for any confidential information. I may recall incorrectly but back when we were targeting a fund of £1.5mil, I thought we used to have a publicly available running total. At present, all members know how much is going in each month but I was left a little confused by the bottom line after we were informed of the latest 6 figure sum going to the club. I'll check my emails.
  2. What's the current balance of the WS account?
  3. I'd like to think we still have a couple of quality additions up our sleeve. Players capable of making a Moult/McHugh style contribution with one of them being a replacement for McDonald. It's unlikely you are going to get quality players on trial. Nevertheless, a quick browse of reviews and limited footage doesn't fill me with confidence. Dunne will prove to be a fast Joe Chalmers at best while Dembele wasn't wanted by Barnet. The striker is from the same stable as Tait, Heneghan and Clay so no surprise we are looking at him. His stats at Grimsby and Barrow last season don't look particularly impressive but he may well have something about him for Barnsley to sign him in 2016. From the Leicester video of Cedric Kipre, he looks tidy on the ball but no idea if he can defend. Unfortunately our last 2 signings from the Leicester youth team have been brutal. Robinson did suggest today that he wouldn't be signing young English players to come up here and make mistakes for the first time.
  4. Dunne there too. Is he considered 1 of the 4 trialists?
  5. Barrow have announced details of game. 6.30ko on 11/7.
  6. Yes. Another name that's been rumoured is fellow left back Matthew Briggs. Imagine photos from training will emerge soon enough.
  7. Great news on McHugh being the new captain. Mentioned it on wrong thread but I'm hoping George Elokobi is one of our trialists.
  8. No word on trialists yet? After looking into left back Matthew Briggs, I clocked his Colchester team mate and the previously mentioned George Elokobi. I remember him from his Wolves days, looks like a decent shout going by the Akinfenwa hint. Edit - wrong thread.
  9. Who got released and signed up in England? From what I've seen from Semple in the Scotland games, he looks a terrific prospect.
  10. Great business with Semple. I thought we'd struggle to keep hold of him.
  11. Good luck to Keith in his new role. Sad to see him hang up his boots but delighted to keep him at the club, particularly during a period of high turnover. Regarding captaincy, it should be McHugh.
  12. I had a similar hunch although that was probably driven by Murrant's tweet after the England game.
  13. The last thing we need is a deep lying midfielder. When we back in pre-season? Tomorrow? I suspect Robinson will want 1 or 2 more, in addition to Griffiths and the rumoured Dunne, before heading to Dublin.
  14. I watched the u20s a fair bit during the Baraclough era and Thomas and Cadden were both dynamite, one bursting with natural ability, the other with great athleticism. Clearly though, Thomas hasn't applied himself the same way Cadden, McLean and Campbell have. Last chance saloon this season or he'll fall down the leagues.
  15. I previously mentioned on here that Peterborough had transfer listed a few players including NI right back, Michael Smith. A fee has been agreed with Coventry but the Peterborough owner tweeted yesterday to say a Scottish Premiership club is also in for him...
  16. Scougall signs for St Johnstone. I hope we've got something up our sleeve as he would have been an excellent capture at an affordable price.
  17. So it is Charles Dunne? Oldham pal told me he was atrocious.
  18. As much as I love Lasley, I have reservations about a novice manager having an inexperienced assistant so this is good to hear. If the u20s attractive style of play reflects Lasley's mindset, it will be interesting to see how him and Robinson get on.
  19. Judging by Burrows tweets, it's looking unlikely that there will be any further signings this week. That being the case, Rose must have been the attacking midfielder. In relation to the Heneghan speculation, Thistle have agreed a fee with Oxford for Liam Lindsay. Talk of £350k + add ons.
  20. Heneghan looks like being a clever piece of business. We managed to get him on a free while much bigger clubs were reportedly monitoring his progress. I thought he made a bright start at Motherwell before getting exposed in a real poor team. Nevertheless, with the lack of centre halves being produced through British academy football, he's done enough to generate serious interest.
  21. This was confirmed a while back.
  22. Think most fans wouldn't be upset at seeing him leave for £250k. If the rumoured interest is anywhere near genuine, competition could see us get closer to £400k. Worth bearing in mind that Burnley are about to sell Michael Keane for £25mil.
  23. Talking of creative midfielders, Scott Allan signs for Dundee on loan.
  24. Replacing the quality of McDonald with a player who wasn't wanted by Plymouth and replaced by Ainsworth, I can't see it.
