  1. I'd be very surprised to see Blyth, Clay or Bowman at Fir Park next season. Infact, I'm not convinced any of them will be playing professional football 2 years for now. Unfortunately, it may cost us a few quid to get them off the books. Terrible signings despite McGhee assuring us he had done his due diligence. I'd expect 10-12 players to arrive if Robinson gets his way. Interested to get a sense of what the budget will be. Thanks to finishing a place above schedule, coining in £200k+ from Ibrox, promised 4 home Rangers/Celtic games, increased tv revenue and £250k courtesy of Celtic, we shouldn't be scraping the barrel so much this summer.
  2. I don't know how the game unfolded and appreciate that there isn't much room for sentiment, however I find it a bid odd that Lasley didn't get any game time.
  3. Leahy signed a 1 year deal last summer. Wouldn't be surprised to see him clinch a decent deal down South though.
  4. I've been keen on Luke Leahy the last 3 years. Hopefully we are in the running for him this summer. Perfect replacement for Hammell.
  5. Robinson stated in his pre-match interview that Inverness have a number of players that premiership teams would bite your hand off for. Throwaway comment but an offer for Billy McKay wouldn't surprise many.
  6. Yeah, McDonald has been a terrific servant for us but the time is right for him to move on. Having said that, I hope he doesn't stay in Scotland.
  7. A win over Hamilton, is no more satisfying for me than a win over Patrick Thistle or St Johnstone. Last Saturday was special but it was purely because we beat our closest rival in the table. For the ICT game, I'd like to see a few of the fringe youngsters get some game time including MacLean, Turnbull, Livingstone and Hastie. Very much doubt we'll risk Moult, Frear or Hammell.
  8. Best moment in my 28 years going to Motherwell games. The sound of the ball hitting the net will never leave me. Grateful the cameraman caught my celebrations.
  9. I like Foran and I've quite enjoyed watching them at Fir Park. Would be happy to see them go above Accies.
  10. Who was the last Motherwell player to score so many screamers? From his debut strike in a 2-2 draw at Tannadice to the free kick last night, his top 10 goals must be impressive viewing.
  11. Far from guaranteed. Would like to think we will offer him an extension.
  12. Interest in Carey would make sense. His biggest asset is getting good balls into the box which fits with Robinson's style of play. He wouldn't be a signing to get overly excited about but he's proven at our level and we were badly lacking a few steady pros this season. A Jim Paterson type signing. If there is anything in this, we must be offering decent terms. Didn't envisage him leaving Plymouth after playing a pivotal role in their promotion.
  13. The Groundsman will surely be headhunted. Nobody could have envisaged the turnaround in our pitch,
  14. I was very impressed with Robinson's in-game management last night. And on reflection, he has made some bold decisions in recent weeks despite having one hand tied behind his back with the injury crisis. Massive couple of months ahead. If Robinson has a decent network of contacts and an eye for talent, it will go a long way to making his job a lot easier next season. With one of the smaller budgets in the league, here's hoping we go back to prioritising quality over quantity.
  15. My all time favourite Motherwell player. Sad time if this is the end.
  16. Is his injury that bad? No idea where he is with coaching badges but he strikes me as a potential manager.
  17. Caught that too. Deal probably done for Heneghan. My first step in the rebuild, would be to announce McHugh as captain.
  18. Lionel, signing off in style.
  19. Job done. Delighted to see Lionel have such an influence in securing our safety with a bit of quality. Let the rebuild commence, hopefully learning from the many mistakes we made last summer. We can't afford to be as bad in what will be a better league next season.
  20. Would be surprised to see Robinson change shape. Think it will be a back 3 with Ferguson rwb and Cadden closer to the front 2.
  21. If we stay up, I'd be surprised/disappointed if we sold Moult for less than Marvin. He's a far more developed player with a fantastic attitude.
  22. It's a bit early to say Griffiths would be a good signing. He hasn't done much wrong but he's yet to play against a team that creates numerous chances.
  23. Absolutely drained. We are miles away from being a half decent team but the players have it absolutely everything and we got an overdue rub of the green. Fingers crossed we can recharge the batteries in time for Tuesday and Louis can sign off his time at Fir Park with another crucial goal.
  24. I'm no fan of Dempster but she has turned Hibs around. The increase in crowds has been remarkable.
