  1. Think it's fair to say we are here to talk about Motherwell. The press have had more than enough coverage of Strachan's uncertain future.
  2. That's something I've wondered for a while.
  3. Accounting for my obvious dislike of McGhee, I was still disappointed by the tone of the press conference. In addition, Motherwell should have ensured there were no questions about his 2nd job. My interest in Motherwell will now be restrained to the 90 mins on the park. Suspect Robinson is on his way out after guiding his country to he Euro's while we bring in someone who contributed to an 'embarrassing' failure for Scotland.
  4. Scunnered to fuck despite banking a decent return from the bookies. Now we've got two arrogant arseholes running the show at our club.
  5. If the rumours come to fruition, this appointment will divide the support. Personally I detest the guy but it's imperative that we get some short term gain, at the very least.
  6. McGhee will not get it. I lumped on him at 33/1.
  7. Dickov in the Sky Sports studio today.
  8. Strachan's been more deluded than Baraclough in recent press conferences. Hopefully we make an appointment over the weekend in preparation for the Celtic game. He's not everyone's cup of tea and he doesn't appear to be in the frame but I'd be sounding out McNamara. Things went sour in his last 9 months at Tannadice but he has a record of giving young players the opportunity to develop and has a more than decent record in the cups.
  9. That'll be the same journalist who seemingly misquoted the chairman on Baraclough's departure.
  10. So that's where we went wrong with Baraclough...
  11. Really enjoyed listening to Martyn, great guy and a terrific pro. Maybe he'll end up back at Fir Park one day.
  12. Agree a fresh set of eyes are definitely needed but possibly more experience is required to deal with such a big squad that hasn't been pulling in one direction.
  13. If the motive for getting rid of Baraclough was due to players not responding to his ways, I'd be amazed if we went down the Simo route. My heart would love him back at Fir Park but my head says we need an experienced voice of authority just now.
  14. So according to BBC, Dundee Utd have spoke to McCall, Alan Irvine and Mixu in addition to approaching Tommy Wright. Not sure whether they'd be the answer but I expect Mixu and Irvine to be in our thinking.
  15. I don't think Calderwood ever acknowledge the story publicly. The nature of O'Leary's story was enough for me to believe him. I don't think I've heard much from Jimmy since he revealed David Murray appointed him as Dunfermline manager.
  16. O'Leary told his story about depression and outed Calderwood in the process.
  17. If agree that there is something 'rotten' about Motherwell. Something untoward that has continued since the summer of 2014 despite an unprecedented overhaul of players and staff. Concern for me is that it runs much deeper than who is managing the team.
  18. Scapegoat or not, I very much doubt Robinson will be back after the International break.
  19. That should be Craggs ruled out the running. Silver lining.
  20. Is Law at right back? It makes sense to bolster the midfield and drop Johnson in order to try and get a foothold in the game. One of Baraclough's major flaws was to persist with 2 out and out wingers away from home. Very disappointing however that none of our young homegrown players can make the bench.
  21. Lasley, McManus, Pearson, McDonald and Ripley have all referred to him as Craggs in the press during his caretaker spell. Too close to the players in an under performing squad?
  22. Fair do's. I recall the 3-0 at NDP and 4-0 atTannadice but I didn't enjoy the football for much of that season. The SC defeat in Paisley a particular low point.
  23. According to the Express, Lee Clark seemingly interested.
