Hammell and Marvin absent again. After being an ever-present for a decade, I'm hoping Stevie isn't going to be dogged with injuries for the rest of his career.

Ross MacLean seemingly done very well in the 2nd half of the u20s season, suspect we may see a fair bit of him during preseason. Did Chris Cadden not travel to the Netherlands?

McCormack was underrated and one of the finest Motherwell forwards I've seen, however he's not in the same class as McFadden. If he hadn't pulled out of umpteen Scotland squads though, he'd have the opportunity to possibly prove me wrong.

Love McCormack but McFadden produced at a higher level. Still time for Ross though. If Faddy is looking to go into coaching then I'd like to see him earn his stripes at FP, whether that be with the strikers and/or kids. Hopefully he has a last throw of the dice as a player though.

No expectations for the season yet. Important though that the squad gels together quickly enough to handle a tough opening 5/6 games. Credit to Baraclough and the club for getting so many new faces over the line so quickly.

Like the look of Moult. Two 3 years deal in consecutive days. Let's hope we're rewarded for this positive change in setup. I think we'll go on to bring in a Keeper (probably Long), the young Irish boy Foster, back up for centre half, a central midfielder and Skippy.

I'll be interested to see if we pursue Grant. Looks to have a bit of quality about him but he'd need to be playing centrally on a regular basis in order to develop. We certainly need to bring in at least one midfielder who can get about the park and is comfortable on the ball.

Really pleased with this one. I think he is a cracking prospect and it was clear from the playoff that he had developed an affinity for the club. Good business again Motherwell.

So we're looking at 3 strikers in a matter of days with Skippy to possibly follow. Plenty of options.

Most of us support the blueprint of unearthing gems in their early 20s from England and beyond. Players that are capable of making an an immediate impact but with scope to develop. That being the case, we're likely to be looking at players who have had a bad injury or went off the rails a little with Motherwell offering the platform to bounce back. Fletcher fits the profile we're committed too. I'm looking forward to seeing something new in pre-season.

Interesting signing. For some reason I find his name familiar but his career stats would suggest I've never seen him. I think we're going to end up with more than the 5:6 signings that Baraclough suggested.

All indications from the club is that there will be a raft of fresh faces arriving in the coming weeks. Understandably, Clarkson has been an easy one to get over the line. Those generated from the scouting system will be arrive in due course and then we can start to review our summer business.

I was thinking Jordan White may have been our potential off the bench striker but the local paper possibly did just pluck his name from off here.

Didn't see the Clarky deal coming. Hopefully he'll do a job for us, primarily as backup, with minimum financial outlay. At least McManus will have no reason to go in the huff for the first 3 months of the season.
