  1. Hopefully get Erwin sorted out one way or the other in the next few days. Although I think he's away on holiday tomorrow. Would like to see Ainsworth stay and for Laing and Grant to return. Imagine Skippy and Sutton have options but you never know...
  2. I've been a critic but he's went and gave me 2 of the best days ever following Motherwell. Hugely impressed by how he approached the Ibrox game and managed us through today. We looked to be very well drilled. Interesting summer ahead.
  3. Johnson's ability to carry the ball has added a much needed dynamic to the team and he was a real threat over the 2 legs. McManus edges the vote for me. After an indifferent season, he's really stepped up to the plate when the pressure was on. I wouldn't mind seeing him and Laing together next season.
  4. Said in another thread, I take my hat off to Flow and the club for their recent conduct. Standing up to Rangers really set the tone for our approach on the park. 7500 'Well fans through the door, hopefully we can entice a few back next season.
  5. Wee bit too easy in the end but today ensures that the Ibrox experience righly remains as one of my best nights ever. Full credit to Baraclough, the coaching staff and the players for doing such a comprehensive job in a pressure situation. 6-1 in such circumstances is almost beyond comprehension. Full credit to Flow and the club regarding ticket allocation. For the first time in my adult life, the club really stood up to Rangers and set the tone for the week. I imagine there will be a few departures in the coming days but we've got something to build on.
  6. Good move for Randolph. Hopefully he gets his chance as no1. Best keeper I've ever seen at Motherwell. That was a poor mistake from Jamie MacDonald today, possibly caught cold due to Falkirk's dominance in 2nd half. However, he seemingly reserves his best for Hibs games.
  7. I'm a tad more apprehensive about tomorrow than I was Ibrox. Rangers will be a dangerous beast with absolutely nothing to lose and a siege mentality on and off the park, galvanised by the ticket situation. We dealt with just about everything on Thursday and it needs to be the same again tomorrow. If they score first, stand up to it and play the way we like to play. Tactically Baraclough was spot on at Ibrox. Skippy was instrumental in midfield which totally threw McCall. Tomorrow, we need to be able to overcome from the prospect of McCall trying to take him out the game. Hopefully the team is fully fit and we can approach with the same intensity and composure that ripped Rangers to shreds for large spells on Thursday. 'Mon the 'Well.
  8. Max per head was 2 when I was back down this morning. Sure the club will get you sorted though.

Could watch that over and over again. See myself going mental. Absolute peach of a goal.

I imagine last night will be the only time I ever enjoy sitting right on the segregation line. Brilliant scenes throughout.
  11. It's going to take a massive physical effort as we ran ourselves into the ground tonight. Expect then to put a man right on Skippy as be really pulled the strings and caught McCall out. We're good enough to go out and dictate the game but we need everyone fit and the crowd needs to stick with the team throughout. I hope to fuck that Ainsworth chance doesn't prove pivotal.
  12. Not long home. What a special special night. Loved every single minute inside Ibrox. The biggest fear going there was whether we turned up. Well we more than turned up. Outstanding in spells with a very brave formation. Yet I can't help think about Ainsworth's chance to go 4-0. The celebrations were mental and will live with me forever. There is a helluva long way to go in this game but we are the better team, go and prove it again Motherwell.

    Rangers

Need to watch it back. Long was very accomplished but for me McDonald pulled the strings, Pearson dominated the midfield, McManus was a pillar of strength at the back. Pearson for me, we really need him for Sunday.
  14. Climbing the walls. Just go there and do ourselves justice tonight and see where it takes us Motherwell.
  15. I thought Law would be offski but Baraclough did indicate at the outset that he loves a trier. And to be fair to Josh, if he continues to improve he'll offer solid enough competition to Luke Watt. Whatever league we're in next year though, I hope we scale back on the quantity over quality mantra.
  16. Couldn't give a fuck who is being linked with rangers. IIRC, Faddy to Rangers was on the back of the paper the day of the 4-3 semi and he tore them apart.
  17. Deary me. How hard is it to recruit someone that can write a letter?
  18. That's surely not a genuine email from the well society?
  19. There was little financial sense in giving them the full south. We'd have made around £15k minus expenses. I'm glad we took the stance we did after Rangers reneged on giving us 2k for Ibrox. On the other hand, I was surprised that ST holders didn't have priority for Ibrox. Had we got the 2k though there would have been no issues. Vicious circle.
  20. That's my recollection too. Surely different this time with the ticketing safeguards in place. If there's going to be a stand with plenty kids in it, it will be the Cooper.
  21. My auld man kept me back from the 3-0 in 91, it still wrinkles with him. I know it wasn't the case with Skippy Sunday but I'd like to think the Cooper will be a safe enough bet for families. There will be plenty young ones in there. In terms of getting away from game safely, Rangers fans will be kept in for a while.
  22. 4.15 mate. Think they were down to less than 50 anyway. Hope everyone behind me got sorted.
  23. After being told I wouldn't be served tonight, that was a tense wait for Ibrox tickets. Hopefully worth the wait. Bring it on.
  24. I don't for a second think it's a con. However, I've yet to be convinced that fan ownership for Motherwell is sustainable. I'm open to be convinced but a compelling argument is yet to be put forward.
  25. Disappointing that we are none the wiser regarding allocation. If they aren't budging on our 950 at Ibrox, then they should get 1/50th of FP.
