  1. I think the apathy stems from a number of successful years where the club continued to lose money, moan about the cost of Europe and ask the fans to contribute more. The introduction of the Well Society hasn't helped either. Relationship with the club is too close for comfort when serious questions have to be asked. And with a fan now the chairman, I'm not quite sure where we stand.
  2. In advance of key games, a number of players went to the PFA union and asked for their names to be put on the Bosman list, without running it by the manager. He lost the dressing room a while ago in my opinion.
  3. Twardzik is at least a shot stopper. Long isn't. He also seems to care about Motherwell. Too late now though to make a change.
  4. Meaningless game but it might be an opportunity to see a few fresh faces.
  5. Oh aye, the number travelling has been excellent. But outwith the absolute core, there is a dwindling interest whether we are at the top or bottom of the league.
  6. Get the toys back in the pram, put away your petted lip and support your fucking team. This is football. This is the essence of it - good times, bad times, mediocre times we get behind the team. Just because there is a chance we might be relegated is no reason to not show up. You sound exactly like an old firm glory hunter, ready to chuck it at the first sniff of disaster. Even worse, that actually makes you sound like you play for us - such is your lack of heart. Also, wash your hair? In my mind's eye I always had you down as a baldy!!
  7. McManus on Gow sounds like a really horrible one. Wouldn't be the first time this season be tried to get sent off.
  8. You are spot on in my opinion. The sad truth is that an amateur of a manager was selected by a Board that severely lacked the required experience in football.
  9. Q&A with Les on Tuesday will be interesting.
  10. The owner doesn't have a fucking clue what he's talking about. We have a manager that the players don't play for. Really pissed off with Skippy and his words on Sportsound about going on holiday don't look too clever now.
  11. So that'll be skippy out the playoff while McManus done his best to get sent off. Fuck off Motherwell.
  12. Albeit he would expect us to bounce straight back up from a really competitive league. There's no doubt we'd survive relegation now but would spending at current levels add to the debt the club/fans will owe Hutchison.
  13. Up to the clubs to kick him out.
  14. Good interview but I don't understand how we can go through relegation without cutting our cloth. Interesting to hear home crowds are on the up although I'm not sure how that would compare with previous seasons.

    Relegation

The nightmare scenario seems to be all over the media today. Anyway, good to hear from the owner that we won't have to cut our cloth if we're relegated.
  16. Glad to hear Baraclough is looking at the lower leagues. McCall turned a blind eye to this market and a few gems have went to our competitors. I read somewhere that Baraclough had been doing some punditry in Ireland recently, I imagine that ties in with scouting trips.
  17. St Johnstone fans seem to think Sutton is on their radar. Good servant to the club who may yet have a pivotal role to play before the end of the season. However, I'd be content to see him move on.

    Relegation

I just hope we avoid the nightmare scenario that we all get the same result next week, allowing County and Killie to play out a mutually beneficial draw on the last day. Today is a timely reminder that St Mirren cannot be taken from granted. However if we can learn to apply our Fir Park dominance away from home, we're more than capable of getting a result.
  19. Carswell will be out the door. McCall took a shine to him from day one but he's never progressed. Moore and Erwin have stood out in the youth ranks for years. If Moore has fully recovered from his injury, then I'd expect him to make an impact next season, regardless of the league we are in. Erwin looks to be slipping through the net which partly emphasises a major flaw of the Dempster/McCall regime. I know Injures got in the way but his potential was undoubted and his long term future should have been sorted out last summer, at the latest. I had hoped he along with Thomas, would have been 2 flagship signings with a nod to the philosophy of the new regime. It appears however that we may have offered too little too late.
  20. I think Hammell's tackle epitomised everything we've missed this season. Erwin made a fantastic contribution tonight but I thought McDonald dictated proceedings with both his brain and technique.
  21. Played very well in spells. We could possibly have ran away with it but in the end, just happy to get over the line. After thinking his touch and decision making was a bit off against Ross County, I though Skippy was top drawer tonight.
  22. As much as I enjoyed Erwin's contribution tonight, it saddened me that he is more than likely offski. He can be frustrating at times but if he applies himself correctly, he has the potential to play for Scotland.
  23. IIRC, our 6-6 with Hibs was the night before the 2010 election. Similar entertainment will be necessary tonight to keep me awake. 'Mon the 'Well, round off a glorious day for the community.
