I can remember Motherwell collectively announcing deals for Morgyn Neill, Fraser Johnston, Higgins, Shirkie and Paul McCafferty in 2012. Is that them all out the door now?
-
Yes. Higher seeded team gets advantage of 2nd leg at home. I personally hope we get QoS but can't see it. Rangers will pull it together when they really really have too.
-
Baraclough signed Pearson and McDonald. Credit to him and the owner for getting them over the line. However, these aren't the players where we're going to judge his eye for a player and extensive knowledge of the lower leagues in England. I think he has potentially signed a few good prospects in Laing, Grant and Johnson but unfortunately they haven't been quite prepared for the step up in standard in order to battle our way out the relegation zone. He also reportedly wanted to sign Lyle Taylor who would have been a welcome addition. The less said about Long, Thomas and Straker the better. There was also going to be a few duds amidst the desperation for players in January.
-
Spot on. I don't understand how you can dominate by huffing and puffing then fail to bring on the one player that is capable of carving out a chance.
-
Between Hammell and Grant for me, the former just edging it due to his return being so welcome. Performances of Skippy and Pearson a real concern, again.

Killie are effectively 7 points ahead of us with the goal difference. We're not catching them. Accies gifted us a chance to get back in it today and we blew it.
-
Absolutely brutal the day. His wee purple patch well at right back well and truly over.
-
Simply doesn't have a clue. If those running the club are genuinely looking out for our best interests, there is not a fucking chance he'll be at Fir Park next season.
-
Can't question the effort but the fact that's even an issue underlines how unprofessional we've been for much of the season. Unfortunately we're just not a good enough team. On paper we should be superior to County but they look a much better coached and organised unit. We did pile the pressure on but much our attacking was hap-hazard and a draw was probably a fair result in the end. 1 point out of 3 'must-win' games does not reflect well on the squad or manager. Most enjoyable part today was seeing Hammell back. Hope he can maintain his fitness for his own sake. Conversely, I don't know what's happened to Skippy but he looks less fit now than the day he rejoined. As for the support, the numbers simply aren't going to increase. Too much water under the bridge for the disengaged.

My hunch for a while has been that Erwin will move on. I hope not thought as he's a good raw talent and the club have stood by him through a couple of bad injuries. Hopefully Moore has got over his injury. Always got the impression he was more committed to personal development.

Twardzik made his fair share of mistakes from Iceland to Dundee however he pulled off save after save when we were getting battered every week. Would much rather seem him in the team as opposed to Long who looks disinterested, commands his area no better than Twardzik and isn't a particularly impressive shot stopper.

Not enough to entice me because if we don't win on Saturday, it's £45 for 1 game.

I thought it was a wise and innovative move to go with the u20 poty. In turn it gives recognition to a player who has produced the most excitement at Motherwell this season with his impressive U20 performances. If I had to give it to someone, it would probably be Twardzik because despite his limitations, he's a player that did give his all and showed a bit of character in adversity.

There was a good few h**s within our 'support' at the cup final. Comes with the territory on such days.
-
Lifeline thrown today. Fuck the manager. Lasley, McManus, McDonald and Pearson must step up to the plate next Saturday and drag us to 3 points.
-
Why does Baraclough refuse to put a 3rd man in midfield, particularly when the likes of Pearson looks to be carrying an injury? Despite the lack of quality in the league, you can't go away from home with a 2 man midfield when your defence is less than competent. Back in January, he disrespected Dundee, a team who hammered us at FP previously, by going up to Dens with effectively a 424 formation and he's learned little since.
-
His managerial achievements are null. I was suggesting him as an extreme at the inexperienced end of the scale. No idea of his management potential but would I take his leadership and interest in Motherwell over an inept Baraclough in preparation for the playoff, probably. That's how desperate the situation is.
-
We need to bring in a proper manager for a month, a manager who knows the club well, instil belief in the players and fans and prepare us properly for a battle in the playoffs. Whether it's at the Stephen Craigan or Craig Brown end of the scale, there must be someone available that's worth the gamble.

Appreciating the quality of Ali Crawford has been one of the highlights of the season. Boy from Carluke has ripped us apart time and time again.

That statement just confirms he's done. Not a fucking clue.

Go 9 points behind County tomorrow and many of the fans will be finished for until the playoffs.
-
Ticket money will be going on a County win. Scunnered to fuck by the folk that have drove our club to the brink.
-
Where's the evidence we can even compete with Rangers?
-
Can we just go down automatically? Shitebags wouldn't come out the tunnel at Ibrox.

Looking at the style of play, it's atrocious. They chances wouldn't have materialised against a semi competent defence. Chucking the towel in with half an hour to go in the last 2 games does not reflect well on the players or manager.
