  1. Didn't take long for the influence and contribution of McDonald, Pearson and a reinvigorated McManus to wear off. We really are clueless from back to front though. I hope Hutchison is willing to write off the money he has invested in Baraclough's signings.
  2. Purple patch well and truly over. No cohesion, no heart.
  3. Severe lesson in clinical finishing while we resort to countless long balls. If that boy Crawford plays as well as he does against us every week, Accies will be looking for massive money.
  4. Yet again, we don't look comfortable on that surface but 4 very good chances squandered. Need to throw kitchen sink at them.
  5. Thanks for sharing. I'd rather the WS funds were ringfenced but nevertheless I'll away and set up my direct debit to a multi-billionaire...

Can't find a link to it but spfl issued a shockingly arrogant statement tonight.
  7. Surely there isn't going to be a high profile club game the same day as Scotland though?

Hearts have kicked up a stink too. Both Dempster and Budge rightly questioning the sporting integrity of the decision.
  9. Scotland play at Easter Road on 5th June. Let's face it, if Hibs get to the cup final they'll no be allowed to get to playoff final. Rangers have already had a helping today with the fixtures farce.
  10. No updates on this? I thought the takeover would have been followed with some momentum.
  11. The timing of this wouldn't reflect well on us. However Dempster has denied Hibs involvement in this: http://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/news/5352
  12. Can't grumble at that. Although NDP doesn't have many happy memories. If there's something to play for on last day of season, surely they won't be able to switch us to the Friday?
  13. Nobody is guaranteed to score goals at that level - see Kris Boyd. It looks at the moment that Sutton won't fit into Baraclough and Robinson's pressing style of play, if that's the case he'll move on unless he is willing to accepts a wage that reflects an impact sub.
  14. I can't imagine their being too many police issues unless they're not keen on us taking 2,000 to Hamilton or Paisely on a Friday night. I reckon we'll end up with a third trip to Thistle.
  15. I'd have thought today. Mind it's the cup this weekend though.

Despite the Thistle game, the quality and commitment we have now is far superior to what was served up August-February. Its therefore way too early to resign ourselves to a playoff. And if a playoff does arise, then as a club and a fan base we need to approach it positively unlike Hibs last year, who crumbled under the fear and resignation.
  17. That list does not paint McCall in a positive light although Baraclough has contributed with a few howlers amidst the January panic. I'd imagine they'll all be away and the only one I'd want to keep would be McDonald, possibly Laing. Think you can also add Sutton, Nathan Thomas and Josh Law to the list.
  18. On paper, we're good enough to accrue 12+ points post split. If it's not good enough to avoid the playoffs then so be it, at least we'll go into the playoff on a good run of form. There is still sufficient scope to get out of trouble if everyone applies themselves properly.
  19. Looking forward to Twaddle's appearance. Some potentially cracking material given some of the characters and turmoil during his time at the club.
  20. Imagine the TV companies will ensure our meeting with Ross County is early on while it still carries significance.
  21. Dom Thomas was the obvious alternative. The biggest squad in Motherwell's history should be able to accommodate a couple of first team injuries.
  22. No hindsight was required to suggest breaking up an in-form partnership would have a detrimental effect on our style of play. I suspect Sutton would have been on the bench if Grant was fit.
