  1. Was it not Tommy McLean that was the manager in 1984, With David Hay manager in 1981, where he won 26 games in 38 (from memory he wasn't manager for the first game or in the league cup).
  2. But he didn't make a mistake, serious or otherwise, he got it RIGHT. What he did was tell a lie to Lennon, who had no right to an explanation anyway and then back it up by putting the same explanation in his written report. I would doubt there is anyone who hasn't told a minor lie to cover up something at work.

    Joe Wark

Why didn't you just say you had asked permission first rather than go off on one. He is and always will be my Motherwell Legend. I remember him being brought back about 3 years after retiring and being the man of the match. Best wishes Joe.
  4. Possibly but Rangers/St Johnstone 2010 semi final had 17,371. The season before Rangers/Falkirk 24,507 and Celtic/Dundee Utd 19,258
  5. It does I think that is what Dossertillidie is getting at. If the Old firm are kept apart each crowd will be around 20,000, an Old Firm semi final alone will have a crowd of 50,000, meaning a bigger pot to split.
  6. Why not just make the league a cup competition, that way the top two would play in a League decider every year. Play offs are a joke they don't reward teams with the best record throughout the year. Last season Blackpool finished 6th in the championship but got promoted above the teams in 3rd, 4th and 5th despite not being as good as them over the season.
  7. Klimpl is playing for Viktoria Žižkov in the Czech league.
  8. But he wouldn't be able to play for anyone else after March until the start of the new window, which means the start of next season. He could only join another club outwith the windows if he was a free agent when the window closes.
  9. When I was down about 4.30 the boy in front of me was buying a single ticket snd was told there was only availablity in the South Stand.
  10. What age does that go up to though, he was 24 last week.
  11. We didn't sell him. He left under freedom of contract.
  12. They drew a ball from the seeded bowl and then one from the unseeded bowl and put them in another bowl. They then drew the tie from this bowl the first team being at home first.
  13. I don't think he needs to wait that long

    New Season

No the point is at 500/1 it's not a good value bet. At 5/1 it would be insane to bet on but at 5,000,000/1 it would be worth wasting £1 just in case
  15. Maybe we should offer him a trial before the game, say the two weeks from 12 - 26 July.
  16. I've already mentioned earlier in this thread they draw out the seeds and alternate them home/away. So the first seed out plays their first leg at home the seed in the next tie plays their first game away, so you don't know until after the draw.
  17. Go to love guesses, I'm currently working on a project with 13 houses per acre. Adding flats would increase the density even more, so at 7 acres a hundred units is easily possible.
  18. How did St Mirren do it then and wipe out their debt with the surplus? I would have thought the land they owned was smaller that Motherwell's. Your also using the average price per acre, that takes into account all the agricultural land and even hill land which would account for the majority of the acreage sold but would be lucky to fetch anywhere near £10k an acre. There is land for sale in Wishaw at the moment which relates to £750,000 per acre and 8 acres for sale in Uddingston for £6m. The land at Fir Park would probably be worth more than both these.
  19. Reported >>this one yet.
