  1. I've got most home progs (in several suitcases) from 1974 to 2005, which is the time period when i had season tickets. Only go to 6 to 8 home games a year now, cause and long since stopped 'collecting' them.
  2. They're all pish. The club needs to show some ambition and bring back Kevin Van Veen.
  3. It was 🙂 Good spot ! A mate of mine recently tried to get me a program from the year I was born, but he couldn't cause I don't think programmes had been invented yet 🙂 He managed to find me 2 from 1965 in a charity shop which he got for like 50p each or something. The Carlisle one was for my son's birthday (his D.O.B). He's moved back to the mainland for Uni and now can go to games without relying on me for money and lifts. I've given him a bunch of my progs (which I collected from 1972 to 2005) and thought that would be a nice wee addition.
  4. Does anyone on here deal in old programmes ? If so, looking for either the one from a friendly against Carlisle on the 24/7/1999 if one exists 🙂 If not the one from the first SPL game of the 99/00 season, at home to Hibs on the 31st July.
  5. Defeat to Aberdeen, 9 page thread. Four one win and guaranteed top league status, four pages. Says a lot about some of our support and forum members. Some people are only happy when they're ragin'. COYW.
  6. It's more than breathing space. Nine ahead of St J with three to play and a 22 goal GD advantage. We're safe.
  7. So, this match thread will be a lot shorter than last weeks, seeing the Four W****rs of The Apocolypse won't have anything to post about 🙂 Well done to the oot his depth manager and his not SPL standard team 🙂
  8. Someone who stood in a Greggs queue behind the next door neighbour of a former director.
  9. Heard a rumour that Kettlewell told the players to make sure they lost the game today so that four absolute wankers could have an evening of bitching on an internet forum. After four games without a defeat, they might not have survived another.
  10. That was never a red card in a month of Sundays.
  11. Spittal and Davor in competition for the 'gives it away all the time' award.
  12. Still makes me greet and rage seeing that pen...........was 13 at the time and absolutely devastated. Was like a death in the family going home after that game.
  13. That was it.......knew it was in the far east.....wasn't a great game, did we win 2-0 or something ?
  14. Yup, correct. I was 12 when that semi took place and I remember my old man literally dragging me back to the car in fucking tears. I was inconsolable for a week. Didn't help that I went to a school full of H*ns, none of whom had ever seen the inside of a football ground. After disposing of Celtic and Hibs in that cup run (and I think Arbroath if my memory serves), we'd already eliminated two of the top three and were well on the way to disposing of the third until the masons stepped in. That really was a year we should have seen a cup win !
  15. I might be wrong but I think that Pettigrew lob was in the 2-2 cup quarter final, which was followed up with a replay draw at Easter Road and ended with a 2-1 win at a neutral venue (Ibrox). As you say, that cup run ended with one Masonic ref giving Rangers a penalty when Derek Johnstone stepped on the ball about 2 yards outside the box but managed to land on the penalty spot. The scum went on to win 3-2 and the ref was later found guilty of taking bribes over a European game.
  16. First game was 72 for me i think, was the amber kit with claret trim and no band or diagonal with 'MFC' in script rather than a badge. First Season Ticket was first season of the 10 team premier league (75-76 maybe ??) but went to all home games the season before (excluding OF games which my old man wouldn't take me to until my first ST year).
  17. Bet no one could guess how they got that second goal.......
