  1. I've just started watching 3 mins in (we were just taking a corner) and then we started passing the ball to each other. WTF is that all about ?
  2. If we'd just waited 24 hours we could have got paid to take Jack Ross :-)
  3. The evidence would suggest that Hammy's appointment is universally supported by the fans. Why else would there no be a 'Hammell Out' thread started by now
  4. Danny Lennon has said that Danny Lennon has not applied for the job but Danny Lennon would be happy to listen to any offers that came Danny Lennon's way.....
  5. Did you see the dross he signed for Celtic in his last couple of years ? And that was dealing in the 'money end' of the market. Lennon has never had to manage a budget like ours. The smallest budget he's ever dealt with would have been Hibs and that dwarfs ours.
  6. That would be up there with Robinson coming back. Why does the old 'managerial merry go round' love to tout people who have managed bigger clubs and failed ? What, anywhere, in Lennons CV would suggest that he can create a team that can punch above it's weight ? His last managerial job didn't exactly end well. And ignoring his managerial achievments for a second, the guy is a cunt.
  7. That's us 3rd in the league. If they need to call it now for any pandemic related lockdowns, I'm ok with that. Ah, sack that. they've scored again......
  8. I can get every game but ours on hesgoal.com :-(

  10. I think it'sa joke, but The Record are reporting it.........
  11. Jim Gannon is only a phone call away.......

    Alexander.

Don't know, but better get the 'sack him' thread started now......

    Alexander.

    Gone.....thank fuck.
  14. Exactly this. Sligo lost three goals to a bunch of Welsh amateurs in the previous round, who were presumably also in their 'pre season' phase. The fact that we lost 3-0 over two legs to them and rarely even looked like scoring against them, says it all.
  15. We did all the right things, I can't fault them for effort, sometimes these games are about fine margins and things just didn't go our way........I could write it for him.
  16. Exactly the same as what we did last week. Lets see how many players we can play out of their natural position. Seriously, anyone who thinks that Alexander has a plan beyond 'I know what I'm doing, you're ll wrong and it doesn't matter how often results go against us, I'm still right'. We've been watching the same disjointed non football since the start of last season. Without the goals that Watt scored and this is what we're left with.
  17. Or we could equally have a first half to the season the same as our second half of last, which would leave us 'bouncing around' in the relegation zone. I think that's a hell of a lot more likely than us having a first half of the season similar to the first half of last season.
  18. As others have said, not unexpected. We've been dross since December, bar what, two results ? We were dross before December for the most part but managed to score enough in games where we were under the cosh to take the points. Question that needs to be asked is what is the manager playing at ? Can Carrol defend the left flank ? No, so he can't be played as a wingback in a 443 because if he can't defend when he's in position, how is he going to defend when he has to go forward regularly ? Is Spittal left sided ? No, so why did he spend most of the game on the left ? Is Morris a right sided player ? No, so why did he spend all but the first ten mins on the right ? Is Shields a winger ? No, but he's played out wide right for months now, with the same result over and over again. Why, when we've been over run in midfield since the start of last season, do we persist with a midfiled three ? if we're going to play 4 at the back, why is it a different 4 nearly every week ? 'Systems' are all well and good but sureley you have to base your system around getting your best players on the pitch doing what they're best at, rather than making them play a system that it's proven over and over again doesn't work.
  19. Calm down everyone. According to a lot of people on here towards the end of last season, it is a necessary part of the process to go 3 months without a win to scab a couple of results and reach your target position. Alexander has got this.
  20. Can almost hear Alexander's post match interview in my head now.......
