We just didn't grt him on the ball often enough today and when he did he was usually faced with two defenders. How they managed to double up on ALL our forwards today beats me We need to make more of these runs he makes into spaces in the channels. When he did get on the ball, he was dangerous.

Seem to remember a rumour about some Spanish 'Goal Machine' but can't recall if it ever came to anything. Don't think it was a very long thread..............

Watched the game on TV. Must admit I'm not a big fan of Higdon, but I thought he actually did quite well today. One thing that happens time and again is that Higdon comes back to between half way and their box to get under a Randy kick out, and gets a flick on. There are NEVER any 'Well players beyond Higdon. No point in sending the guy out to get headers and flick ons if no one is going to go beyond him. In general. I thought he was actually quite tidy, especially the times he brought the ball down and played it wide. Still can't see the point of a target man for long balls if no one plays in front of him. He could be fuckin' superman, but he can't be expected to get on the end of his own flick ons !

Good to grind out a result today after the last couple of weeks. We needed it ! Maybe a wee confidence boost to get us playing the way we had been. Also, on the plus side, the Aberdeen message board is a fuckin' riot at the moment

Just back in from the game after spunking the best part of a ton on ferries, petrol, pies and paying at the gate. What a load of pish. Clancy is not a central defender. What the fuck has happened to Jennings ? Humphrey is a waste of a jersey (seems to be every game I go to) and Higdon actually looks like his feet are nailed to the floor. No pass markes for anyone really today, apart from maybe Law, but the packed final 3rd meant he regularly ran into a brick wall. Makes it a long bloody trip home after watching such a shower of shite

The first one in the Cup Final was down to Jennings as far I I'm concerned as he stood with his arms out instead of closing the gook down. He said later he was trying to prevent him playing a 'telling pass'. You don't get much more telling than lashing one in. When the gook got the ball with Jennings 10-15 yards in front of him,he should have been closed down and fuckin quickly. No way was that anything to do with Gunning. The third, it was also Jennings who turned side on at the end of the wall. I do have some sympathy for what you say about Gunning though. While he's a good player, he does tend to give up a bit too easily. Technically though, the guy is a player and he is only 19.

I heard from a relation that works at Fir Park that they were looking for someone to clean the glasses in the Cooper Suite. They originally wanted Cammy Duncan but the budget wouldn't stretch to all the new glasses we would need to buy when he dropped them, so they're now looking at Derek (Ruby) Murray

To be honest, I'd be pretty surprised if he went to the sheep. I was only reporting that they reckoned it was a done (2 year) deal. I personally think it's bollocks, but if he goes, then I won't lose sleep over it. I really think he's pretty much done. They reckon he can bring on the younger defenders, but I reckon he needs someone more dominant beside him. We'll probably find out over the next day or two, but I reckon it's keich.

They know I'm a 'well fan, and I've been 'polite' so far. I actually joined up and kinda talked nicely to get in with them, hoping we could get them in the final, then I could rub it right up them. If they sign Craigan, Dailly and Rae as they been talking about, it'll be time to get in about them

This ^ I would have thought if he was going to carry on playing, he may have dropped a division and got some coaching experience while he was at it. Right enough, signing for Aberdeen is dropping a division
