  1. Exactly. I'm sure we also had people shouting for Duncan Ferguson (cause 'he wouldn't stand for any nonsense') and other dumb suggestions. Outside of three or maybe four clubs, it's a pretty difficult and thankless job thats almost always going to end in sacking. Luckily, Motherwell have three or four top class football brains on this forum that could take over if the manager was to get fired.
  2. What ? Does he post a constant stream of shite and disappear when we win as well ?
  3. *Cough* my Motherwell one hasn't worked for a few weeks now and the Aberdeen one is unwatchable for me right now.
  4. Unchanged starting line up again......
  5. read what you wrote........we had NO shots on target until the 91st minute. Away into yer miserable wee cupboard and pray for the next defeat.
  6. Funny that. Other sources say we had six shots on target. Get back in yer box till we lose again.
  7. I've got a mate that's a big time Jambo (i know, but don't judge me !) and he says they don't see where Spittal fits in and hasn't done anything so far to make you look up from your bovril.
  8. Yes, it's statistacally a safe conclusion that every other year of his career is an anomoly and the best stats to quantify his career is his last season with us.
  9. When you look back to when Kettlewell took over, we had a back three of McGinn, Butcher & Casey and in that period we didn't really ship a lot of goals and kept clean sheets. The injury to Butcher kyboshed that and when he came back, he wasn't the same player. Last season the defence was generally shambolic and prone to regular change. Having someone strong and dominant in the middle again (i.e. not Bevis) will hopefully tighten things up a bit and stop us losing the silly goals like we did last season. Imagine where we could have been last season if all these comeback draws had been wins cause we hadn't shipped silly weak goals. I'm hoping the addition of Liam Gordon will take us back to where we were the season before last, denfensively speaking.
  10. 100% agree but I kinda get the feeling, that given his background, he'll be kinda Beireth-like in his financial expectations, given that he was at LC for years, got a debut with them (albeit not in the EPL) but he was with them through their glory/money years, he'll really be in a financial bracket that we can't even consider. Having said that, maybe a wee sustained period of regular first team football and the press and exposure that goes with it might suit him at this point in his career. You can be 100% sure he'll be linked with big money move to Celtic or Rangers the week before we play them.
  11. Probably yes, because we were 'pretty poor from open play' apparently. At least he posted his grudging admission that we won, where as the other three posters of the apocalypse are clearly marked absent, as they always are when we win.
  12. I'm sure celtic will be 'on the brink of signing ex Rodgers starlet' the week before we play them.
  13. See the daily rectum have managed to turn Maswanhise into a story about Celtic........
  14. So, the 'new guy' who's name I canny remember, spell or pronounce, has a kinda 'Biereth' feeling about him to me. Product of a (normally) EPL club who hasn't played for them. Has obvious skills (like ball control, pace and the ability to do things with it) that we don't normally see. Will come here and prob be a big talking point for a few months and then go somewhere with loads more money than us, but if he sets up goals regularly for a few months, that'll do for me !
  15. Phil was training with us after finding himself without a club. We had much longer to look at him before signing him.
  16. Not seeing it as being as dire as others seem to think. Watt, the new guy and taking off Halliday composed us. We delivered an awful lot of ball into therir box that no one was getting on the end of. It's a cup game. Being in the draw for the next round is all that counts.
  17. Great cross from the new boy.....he's just waltzed past the right back a few times
  18. The number of balls that we've put in that have bounced in the 6 yard box with no one going for them is unreal !
  19. Much more positive momentum the last 15 or so but still not creating anything clear-cut.
