  1. I appreciate that money talks but look at Sutton, left for much more money & went a few months without all his wages. If stories that are doing the rounds have even half an element if truth to them, sevco will be in a similar position, wages being late or unpaid. The money may look good but unlike England, players have no guarantee about payments.

I agree with your thoughts about an opportunity rather than a setback. The Board also have previous for thinking a little outside the box in their choice of managers recently rather than the old boys network of Calderwood, Ian McCall & similar. In the board we trust, no longer McCall!
  3. Does this not sum things up. A player from Scotland's top league moves to the 3rd tier of English football rather than, just for talking sake, the 2nd best team in Scotland who can offer European football & an attractive way of playing the game! It beggars belief at times.

    Is that because they're Motherwell-minded
  5. Sorry, missed it back when it was announced. Hope McCall knew this before he signed on again
  6. So despite finishing second (I'm going out on a limb!!) McCall's to cut the budget yet again, it would appear. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/spl/mccall-is-told-to-cut-his-budget-yet-again-123075n.20969312 How desperate would things have been if we had finished 11th if this what happens in a fairly successful season?
  7. Totally agree with this statement, and fingers crossed they don't make an exception to their rule
  8. Ta muchly for this, I'll get onto it
  9. Anyone know if the ticket office is open tomorrow morning? Need a Cooper ticket but can't get there today
  10. Hopefully the compensation agreement in McCall's new contract is substantial!!
  11. How does this work then, Gers can't sign anyone until 1st Sept & most contracts end at the end of May, so are players expected to sit around for 3 months just cos the, once, mighty Gers have come calling all players are going to get wet & hang about for them! I really hate the fact that the media still think all players want to play for either half of the Old Firm & if they're out of contract that's where they'll end up
  12. Might be ghoulish or simply insensitive, but time waits for no man and all that, who from the Dunfermline players would be worth a contract at the 'Ark? Just noticed that Gallacher gas been freed and with Randy probably offski I think he could be worth a shout, even just as back up to Hollis
  13. Hopefully now that it looks like the manager's about to sign a new deal, some of the out of contract guys might decide to stay put as well. Randolph has already suggested playing week in, week out is preferable to big pay day & sitting on a bench.
  14. Can't see a queue of clubs lining up to take him after his 'starring' role at Sunderland, imo. He's hardly played any time & the wee bits I've seen he's not shone. Still feel he needs to play at a lower level to regain his match fitness before moving forward again. Why not a short term deal at the 'Ark to do it
  15. Rule was changed a few years ago. You are allowed to move on the line, side to side, provided you don't encroach the taker. Definitely helps the keeper IMO
  16. So would the pre-contract compensate players who wouldn't earn any wages from end of May until the beginning of September since no one can sign for Sevco until then? Either the MSM are trying to appease the mass ranks of thick h**s or the transfer embargo has no weight at all.
  17. I'd be gutted if this is where he ends up!! http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/rangers/exclusive-spl-striker-keen-on-switch-to-rangers-108148n.19506336
  18. Same situation with Stevie Thompson if St Mirren, incident in front of the Cooper Stand & it wasn't shown on the highlights package, and guess what, he's another media darling!! Mentioned before, all we look for is consistency, not favours
  19. As much as it infuriates me at times, I know that that's exactly why our players make wrong decisions. Doesn't soften the blow any tho
  20. See the 2nd goal today, why, oh why, couldn't the Humph do that when we had played Levante, rather than toe-poke a back pass to the goalie!
  21. Does the SFA/ SPL etc take notice of club's own TV coverage? It was strange that the Sportscene 'coverage' showed footage from behind the goal for a Randolph save but didn't deem it suitable to show anything about what may or not have happened between the 2 of them. Here's a controversial thought, anything at all to do with Thompson being their flavour of the month?

I'll be honest, Higgy was unable to knock balls to Henrik or anyone else, but he can't make passes if he can't get decent service. If we are going to play route 1 football then the players providing the initial passes, ie full backs or centre halves, need to be pinpoint in their passing. On Thursday night I don't recall too many accurate passes. Too often it was hit & hopes. All that does is allow fans on here to come to the conclusion that it's all Higgy fault
  23. Heard Stuart Cosgrove on Saturday say that Sandaza was offered £1300 a week to resign for St J for this season only to sign for Sevco for £13000 a week. Seriously silly, stupid money
  24. I've had a frantic text fm Tenerife asking if tonight's game is being broadcast anywhere, any help would be appreciated!
  25. Heard that this morning too & totally agree. Stuart McCall works for us now, his loyalties are to us & his 'default' comments adds yet more weight to the argument that we lie down to Rangers because of who our manager is. We haven't cheated to finish where we are, please remember who pays the wages Mr McCall
