Shite. Lack of goals is killing us yet again. We haven't scored at NDP in 7 out of our last 9 games apparently. P-ISH!!

First half was shite, second half was much better. Liam Boyce, their number 10, bossed our defence. Big, strong guy that held the ball up well for them. Jackson Irvine is exactly the type of midfielder we need, strong, direct and full of running. Hopefully Pearson coming back can fill that gap. Taylor is hopeless and I would start Grimshaw in his place next week. Dom Thomas was willing but did the square root of fuck all and I wouldn't be surprised if Marvin finds himself in the starting XI next week. McDonald should have a couple of weeks on the bench in order to give him the kick up the arse he needs. Can Laing head a ball? His timing going up for a header is all wrong. Moult gives everything but I'd like to see him being a bit stronger in holding off defenders in order to bring other players into the game. All in all, a draw was a fair result I'd say.

Voiced my concerns during pre-season that we weren't scoring enough goals and giving away cheaply at the other end. Nothing so far this season has changed that view. Poor, poor run of results that needs to stop starting next week.

The Motherwell FC twitter feed isn't much better. Can sometimes be 10 minutes between tweets. If twitter is your only source of information it can be a bit frustrating to the lack of updates.

New strip is slim fitting by all accounts, may need to go up at least one size.

Correct, if you read my post I'm quite aware these games don't count for much and we have time to sort things out but if Baraclough isn't at least asking questions of our strikers to go out in the next game and show him what they are made of, then he isn't doing his job right. Strikers feed off confidence so let's hope in the remaining pre-season games they can shine and carry some momentum into the opening game of the season.

I'm a bit concerned by our lack of goals so far this pre-season. I realise it's still early days but having signed three strikers I would've hoped that they may have contributed by now. Still around 3 weeks until the start of the season so plenty time to get off the mark but it sounded, from Twitter at least, that we were on top first half and couldn't put the ball in the net. EDIT: 2-0 now.

Great signing. A big presence in the centre of defence and much needed grit and determination. Welcome to Motherwell Stephen. Now, he is our 6th signing, announced at 6pm and is wearing the number 6. McFadden will be our 7th, announced at 7pm and will be wearing number 7. Sound good? Hope it's true.

McManus would be a hugh addition to our squad but like Melvin, I don't see it happening at all. Faddy would be good but if it does happen I reckon it'll be a short term deal until January.

With 18 months left on his contract, if the rumours of £250K are true, it seems to fall way short of what I would've expected. Mind you, Motherwell FC must've been happy with it as they accepted the bid. Strange one for sure.

If Leeds bring 3-4K they will definitely outnumber the 'Well fans for a meaningless pre-season friendly.
