  1. The club just cannot be seriously planning to bring Robinson back from St. Mirren. The formation, style and results were no better than those subsequently delivered by Alexander. If this comes to pass then I’m afraid I will be returning my season ticket.
  2. If this is true then frying pan to fire.
  3. I’ve repeatedly said it and while not wishing to labour the point, fan ownership of a football club of our size, fan base and resources is idyllic but foolhardy. We simply do not have a large enough fan base to make it viable. And in the present dire economic situation, football and the cost of it, is a long way down many people’s priority list. Sorry but IMO we are slowly but surely disappearing up our own arsehole with it.
  4. Dateline 30th September 2021 Stephen O’Donnell made club captain. Quote from Graham Alexander: “Stephen stepped in as captain on several occasions last season and I saw enough then to know he was ready to lead my team. He’s a great example to everyone on the training pitch, how professional he is off it, and how much he wants to win every day. His performances have matched that and along with Liam Kelly as vice-captain and the other leaders within our squad, he will set the standard of what we require from our players every day.” So what’s changed and is not time somebody at the club explained what is happening with regard to the club captain - assuming he still is.
  5. Spot on. We couldn’t break open a wet paper bag.
  6. Alexander said after last night’s debacle “We have to be honest with ourselves. We weren’t good enough tonight.” Really!!? Wake the f*ck up. We haven’t been good enough now for over 25 games!!
  7. You really are an arrogant prick. Judging by your posts you are in a minority of one when it comes to our manager! Oh and if it’s facts you want:- ~ 3 wins in our last 23 league games. ~ Failed to score in 180 minutes against a League of Ireland side who have never ever progressed beyond this round. ~ Only added 3 players in close season all of whom are worse than any of the players we already had. ~ Knowing we’d have an early European tie he failed to get sufficient match practice into his players in preparation. ~ Doesn’t know how to adjust when his game plan A fails and that’s every game.

    Alexander.

That’s all well and good but football is a results based business for managers. Surely there must be something in his contract covering his performance in that area. He’s only managed 3 wins from our last 24 league games and if that’s not grounds for dismissal I don’t what is. A huge part of running any football club is about the risks around the football manager (e.g. whether he gets poached, performs badly etc.) so I’d like to think the club has mitigatory steps in place for all eventualities including the latter.

    Alexander.

That’s it in a nutshell. The worst squad of players I’ve ever seen at Fir Park. And I’ve been supporting them since 1967. It’s truly sad to see how far the club has fallen since Robinson left and I fear we haven’t stopped falling.
  10. Alexander has managed to find 3 players that are worse than what he had. It will take a long time to live this result down.
  11. Quote from Stephen Craigan “This is the poorest Motherwell team I’ve seen.” ‘Nuff said.
  12. Away and taking a flying f*ck to yourself. You don’t half talk some drivel. How can you justify what’s been getting dished up by this manager and players?
  13. Anybody watching this utter shite and who has any doubt as to whether Alexander should be shipped out needs a reality check.

    Alexander.

The only thing I’d give him would be his bus fare south.
  15. Agreed. This has been a serious deficiency for quite some time now and not just in midfield. The only time we have any shape is before kick-off at the start of both halves of a game. We just do not have a solid platform to play from. Quite simply we do not have the personnel to play 4-3-3 and persisting with it only exposes and magnifies the deficiencies of individual players. How many goals do we lose through BASIC individual player errors when too often players are left exposed with nobody covering for them. Forget about overlapping full-backs and wing-backs etc. etc. Get back to basics, adopt 4-4-2 and coach the players in how to retain that shape when defending and attacking and make it difficult for opposition teams to break us down and score.
  16. Good post which highlights all of our major flaws under this manager.
  17. The poor guy is just not cut out to be a footballer and anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly deluded.
  18. Same manager by and large same squad of players as last season and same shite performance. That was a real red neck of a result if ever there was one. We are really just picking up where we left off last season. Make no mistake if we don’t ditch this manager then we’ll be playing championship football next season.
  19. Daily Rancid reporting this morning that Woolery has signed for Turkish 2nd tier side Sakaryaspor.
  20. Okay pedant! I cocked up - divided 293 by 18! Duh! However I stand by the rest of my post. We’re already well served in the forward area with Efford, Van Veen, Tierney, Shields , Mahon and Woolery so this guy could end up being a bench-warmer. IMO all of our problems last season were in central defence and midfield and we’ve done precious little to address that.
  21. No harm to the guy but whatever he is he’s not a striker. He has scored 54 goals in 293 games - equates to a goal every 18 games or so!! He’s 30 and coming to us from what used to be the old English 4th division. FFS!! So much for improving the level of the playing squad!!
  22. Was with Robinson at Morecambe. More likely end up at St. Mirren. 2CF7826E-89A4-4218-B8FF-8E9C874D6050.webp
  23. Robinson must be pissed at missing out on him!
  24. If Alexander thinks this then he is even more deluded than I thought!
