  1. Casey, Paton, Nicholson and Maswanhise to come in.
  2. Anything on todays diplay that allows these 4 to be playing next time round?
  3. Maybe but it would help to put the right players on the park from the off and sort out the tactics. Will go a long way.
  4. That hopefully dispels any thoughts on Frail remaining at the club.
  5. I said it last week but the benefit of the doubt was given to Frail because it was Celtic. He's shown nothing for me and the sooner he is gone the better. Can we sub Halliday off please.
  6. Who is O'Donnell shouting at for losing his man causing a goal? Genuine question.
  7. No point me moaning at the end - Balmer, O'Donnell, Halliday and Watt are disappointments for me in the starting 11. Nice to see Slattery and Miller back.
  8. Absolutely need a new manager Celtic or not - I didn't see anything to suggest Frail had any alterations to Kettlewells failing formation Adding to that the fact that he will likely play anyone in front of Casey at the back - Frail needs moved on prior to this game.
  9. I was talking to a Celtic fan and here's why it happens. The green brigade arrive on mass and all sit together irrespective of seat numbers. Some then like to sit beside them, some the polar opposite. This leads to absolutely no one sitting in their correct seats and the problem that we see. Really up to Celtic board to sort that out - but I doubt we will see that anytime soon
  10. Some of his previous tactics were criminal though.
  11. Evatt prefers to play attacking possession-based football, with his Barrow team nicknamed "Barrowcelona" due to the attacking football they played.[68][69] At Barrow he played a 3-4-1-2 formation and used the same system at Bolton Wanderers. He changed to a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Bolton going from 20th to third and achieving promotion to League One.[69][70][56] Evatt frequently decides against naming a substitute goalkeeper on the bench, preferring to have more attacking options and has had outfield players do goalkeeping training, just in case.[71][72] Evatt will sometimes bring on attacking players when winning matches rather than defensive players, preferring to score more goals than defend a lead.[73]
  12. Sounds like a Kettlewell formation with 5 mins to go!
  13. Lowe's managerial style has been influenced by Jürgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Rafa Benítez and Lowe's long-time friend Steven Gerrard, among others.[3] He is attack-minded, and Bury in 2018–19 were one of the Football League's highest-scoring teams; their style, described as "gung-ho",[3] soon brought success as the club finished second in League Two and earned promotion back to League One.[41] Lowe explained in an interview with The Guardian that he wanted to instil a "winning philosophy" and that, by outscoring their opponents, Bury would have a greater chance of achieving that goal. The on-field strategy was effectively a 3-1-4-2 formation.[3]
  14. Absolutely pal - this is a forum and there needs to be a balance between what we all see. Your contrasting views makes the debate.
  15. I'm glad I didn't leave the forum after our mini argument on the ins and outs. Because this we can entirely agree upon.
  16. Team picking! Balcombe O'Donnell Gordon Casey Blaney Wilson Kaleta Paton Sparrow Andrews Maswanhise I know I know. Damage limitation and pump the ball up to Maswanhise style tactics.
  17. I went and had a little look at the Dundee forum. Mainly because at that club despite being below us I believe they are content with the manager and the style of play. I was fascinated with their take on Kettlewell - here are a few snippets "Kettlewell resigns. A shitebag and charlatan of the highest order. A Motherwell team on the slide, Celtic up next and the injury and potential impeding transfer of Lennon Miller and he's chucked it. Comes out blaming Well fans for the 'abuse' he's received. One of the west coast motley crew. Kenny McIntyre and co will peddle the 'harsh treatment' and 'they were 5th in the league' line until he gets his next gig returning to County or at Partick or such like" "Shame, I always looked forward to his meltdowns when we beat them. They'll probably get someone decent now" "Kenny McIntyre has a fu*king cheek if he claims harsh treatment for another manager. On Saturday he must have asked Billy Dodds at Pittodrie near into double figures if the fans were booing and starting to turn on Aberdeen. He was fu*king reveling in it and hoping Dodds would say the fans were turning on them" "Kettlewell was doing decently on paper but they've been utterly tragic to watch for the majority of his spell. They just sit off teams and don't put any pressure on and literally just hang on for a draw and hope for a bit of magic or inspiration. He's thrown players under the bus, he regularly throws the fans under the bus and generally does anything to ensure he comes out looking squeaky clean. A manager that cares more about his own image than developing the club he's at. Hope that's him done with management" It's not just our own fans that are saying what some of us are saying to.
  18. This is exactly the way that I feel. Let's remember the facts here. 1. Put out the cup by the bottom of the league with a whimper. Fans boo. He effectively states they know nothing, effectively inciting them. 2. Lose to the bottom of the league with a whimper. Already irritated fans give him abuse after being incited. Walks his ticket out of the door covering up the cracks. 3. Our whiter than white board, wet behind the ears board, help him with his narrative and against the FAN OWNED club. What I will say is well played Stuart Kettlewell, came out looking like the victim. He's not the messiah he's a very naughty boy.
  19. More than happy that there are contrasting views. For me it's akin to the fateful last games of Robinson and the time is right for a change.
  20. So as 2023/2024 went along me and you had a bit of a ding dong about Kettlewell. In the short term in my opinion I was correct by backing him, things did turn around and things ended up ok (no more no less) I will give you credit though for spotting a larger long term viewpoint about Kettlewell that I was blind too and admit that you were correct. I tend to back longer term so I will concede my friend that you were correct overall!!! Don't ask me to repeat!!! My question for you is this though are the flaws larger than Kettlewell? Who is authorising this bloated squad? Are there others in the mix regarding our choice of players? Do you feel we need fresh blood on recruitment?
  21. This is a fun thread - to see how people would change it. So I'll have a go Mair O'Donnell Casey Balmer Blaney Andrew Sparrow Nicholson Kaleta Maswahine Moses There's method in my madness!
  22. No bother pal - I'm darker humour than mr GrizzlyG
  23. Absolutely my man. In fact you're in a very similar position to myself. Been pretty positive towards Kettlewell but are asking questions now. No more than that.
  24. That was a joke. I thought considering we have had a number of dialogues - you would probably know I am one that has been convicted of being a happy clapper!
  25. Since we've spoken about lower league players and keepers. I'd be in the hunt for Dabrowski in the summer. I think he can play at a higher level. Out of contract in June.
