The much maligned Davor should come in to the team, allowing our other midfielders to push up. The Carlisle forums were an interesting read at the time we signed Armstrong. They are having an awful season and much down to the 1 up front tactics that Armstrong was faced with down there. They felt he could operate better in a two. We spend too much time adapting players to a failed system instead of playing to people strengths. Maswanhise was terrifying at first playing wide of the central striker (then Robinson) Wilson lost all confidence - Kaleta lost all confidence. They are not bad players but they were hung out to dry by Kettlewell.

Despite us being truly hopeless, what you initially said is a fact.
-
Agreed. Want to move forward not the same old.
-
Team selection! Oxborough Sparrow Gordon (if fit) Casey Seddon (if fit) Wilson Davor Miller Slattery Maswanhise Armstrong

Certainly was signed as a DM - there is no issue with this transfer and it will proceed as normal.

7 days ago we had a discussion on a forum with many considering SOD a fine signing for another year which I do not agree with. I stated that SOD is part of an overall issue of a whole complete defensive restructure. Simply put we should be reshaping our whole back line come the 24-25 season. We need an overhaul and again I'd love to say goodbye to nearly all of our defence. 5 at the back and Nisbet scores ,open the seas of our defence with a simple header. These ongoing contracts only hinders us solving a much bigger picture.

Slattery for me. It be interesting to have a worst player vote! Watt, Thomson & Balmer for me!

Stephen Robinson hitting out with "if we didn't get a man unfairly sent off we would have won that game" chat

To add here - you are not wrong. My point on O'Donnell stands - to add Gordon turns his back and doesn't get close enough to the striker Casey don't disagree but he is hardy and has certain attributes that can be forgiven We've lost 50 goals this season and from my pov the defence needs strengthened as a whole. O'Donnell staying doesn't help this.

I've seen some bad footballers in my time and in terms of work rate, passing etc. he is ok. The major issue is that he is culpable in a lot of the goals we lose, he shouldn't be in a back three and lacks the pace required to be a wing back. These are not fixable problems. He would be better to move on.
-
He's the best striker at the club and he's got two more years to prove it.
-
Chased every ball. Commitment levels so high. I can get behind that every week.
-
This is a team set up to retain possession. Are we looking at a 1-0 tonight?

I don't boo at all - never have just my views. I also don't expect the team to come out and hear an individual Graham Speirs like critique individually of their performance at the end of games . For those that want to boo it's certainly understandable when being gubbed by Ross County at home. Let me also add, if those fans didn't boo. Kettlewell would still be in a job. He doesn't read online forums - only his wife, kids, cousins and family pets do.

Kettlewell is a dry lunch 😉

No ones done a new team for the man so I'll start! He likes 3-1-4-2 so good luck to me Balcombe Gordon Casey Blaney Davor Sparrow Miller Slattery Wilson Armstrong & Maswanhise Subs: Ward, O'Donnell, Balmer, Halliday, Watt, Paton & Kirk
-
It's an interesting point. He was better pre-injury. What I would say is this - a lot is pointed to Kettlewells bad run of games but lets look at his best run. Johnston & Furlong as wing backs. It wasn't just Van Veens great run of form. If we play 3 at the back we need dynamic wing backs and O'Donnell is unfortunately not a fit for that system. Perhaps in a 4 at the back at RB.
-
Casey, Paton, Nicholson and Maswanhise to come in.
-
Anything on todays diplay that allows these 4 to be playing next time round?
-
Maybe but it would help to put the right players on the park from the off and sort out the tactics. Will go a long way.
-
That hopefully dispels any thoughts on Frail remaining at the club.
-
I said it last week but the benefit of the doubt was given to Frail because it was Celtic. He's shown nothing for me and the sooner he is gone the better. Can we sub Halliday off please.
-
Who is O'Donnell shouting at for losing his man causing a goal? Genuine question.
-
No point me moaning at the end - Balmer, O'Donnell, Halliday and Watt are disappointments for me in the starting 11. Nice to see Slattery and Miller back.
-
Absolutely need a new manager Celtic or not - I didn't see anything to suggest Frail had any alterations to Kettlewells failing formation Adding to that the fact that he will likely play anyone in front of Casey at the back - Frail needs moved on prior to this game.
