That's exactly what I've been thinking. I've heard the occasional comment in the media that the reason for this is that he is "limited" as a manager. Limited to guiding a club with a fanbase of under 3000 to three fourth place finishes, two semi finals and a cup win - all in the space of about 4 years. Add to that a manager of the year award. Limited indeed. Wouldn't want the guy held back in his career, but for our sake hopefully Robinson is similarly "limited".

Scottish Premiership Game 7: Aberdeen (H) Sunday 24/09/17 (12.15)

On the slim chance Rangers win tomorrow Aberdeen will see this as the chance to go top which would normally change the complexion of the game a fair bit. Oddly, I don't think it'll make the blindest bit of difference to this group of players. -
Anyone know how yellow cards / suspensions work in the league cup? Do we have anyone at risk of being a yellow away from suspension should we make the final? I've never kept track of this shit.

Home record so far this season: P7 W6 D0 L1 F15 A3 Nothing to fear. -
The kamikaze (in a good way) way we like to play these days I worry is going to naturally lead to injuries. What we do have is a bench of actual first team players thanks to Robinsons signing policy so credit to him for that. Despite that, you are right in that those three players are performing at a level that would hard to replace. What gives me hope is the fact that Robinson has formed a formidable partnership in Moult and Bowman when they were pretty much incompatible last season. If one is injured / goes, I'm sure Fisher (at his best) can fill the role with some degree of success. Again - another shrewd signing. Strangely enough, Allan Campbell is the one guy out the three you've mentioned who I think would be the biggest loss.
-
Went for Bowman for being an absolute nightmare for the Aberdeen defence. On reflection, I should have went for Moult but his ridiculous performances are becoming the norm so in a weird way it didn't actually stand out as anything out of the ordinary for the guy.

I've seen Hartley in every game he's played so far and don't think he's put a foot wrong. Add in the goal threat and the fact he sounds like captain material (him and McHugh were the ones lifting the team after going 2 down to Hibs) then you can only say well done to Robinson again for a quality signing.
-
He was definitely subbed straight after a head knock. I assumed it was precautionary and didn't think for one second it was tactical.

Scottish Premiership Game 6: Hibernian (A) Saturday 16/09/17

I think we'll see Frear come straight back in. I've got a feeling Robinson sees Frear as an integral part of the team as his pace offers a totally different dimension to our play. Tait, while he has done well - I think is only a stop-gap. Bit of a shame, no matter how well he does I just can't see how he'll fit into our first choice 11 while we're playing 352. -

Surprised to hear Robinson say it was our best performance of the season. I thought the first 45 we had more unforced errors than I've seen all season and defensively we looked a wee bit all over the shop at times. Cads looked exposed and unsupported at the back and Dunne got ripped quite a few times. That said, credit to the players for limiting a decent Hibs side to only a handful of clear cut chances. Second 45 was something different all together and as has already been said, shows the character in this squad. I do think there is more to come from this team. While Bowman, Moult, Tait and Cad's aren't exactly slow I think Robinson is right in that we need real pace up front. Once Frear is back or if the boy Petravicus comes good then that'll add a whole other dimension to our play. Not saying we'll be finishing 3rd and winning a cup, but we could be in for a right enjoyable season here. -

The times we've went to 442 this season we've been shite. -
He just comes across as having an incredibly balanced view on things and always has a clear focus on the bigger picture. If you look at his demeanour and language after each game you wouldn't know if it was a win or a loss. The Hearts game the other week was the best I've felt leaving Fir Park in quite a few years yet his post-match interview was as factual as you could get. Other managers might have laid the praise on thick but he was straight in with what worked / what didn't and where we could improve. That stability alone can only be a good thing. As an aside - compare that to McGhee at the end......
-
It's all relative. Those three haven't been stand-outs in the way some of Robinson's other signings have been, but they've all had very good games at some point in the last few weeks. If this is the "weak links" of our squad, then compared to previous seasons weak links who have been in and around the first team then I'm absolutely fine with that.

Scottish Premiership Game 5: Kilmarnock (H) Saturday 09/09/17

Can't remember the last time we were able to make subs without thinking "aw naw, no him". Robinson's recruitment has been outstanding. -
Tough one - Campbell was incredible but went for Bowman for scoring a great goal and winning the penalty.
-
Might also depend on how Robinson views the strength of our midfield options - can we drop McHugh to the back 3 and still be strong in the middle of the park? I'd say absolutely not - but Robinson might have another view.
-
Amazing what a difference a year can make - they look like they're forming a really effective partnership now. When McDonald was here it felt like Moult and Bowman up front was a disaster.
-
Had that very conversation at the game too. We've now got competition to even make the bench.

Scottish Premiership Game 4: Hearts (H) Saturday 26/08/17

That was epic - not had nerves like that for a long time. Both teams up for it but we wanted it more. They looked like they had another goal in them almost the entire game - probably until just past the 85th minute when they realised they just couldn't get past our back 3 (4 including Carson). Kipre was an absolute beast that entire game - had Lafferty in his back pocket which is no mean feat as evidenced by his goal when we momentarily switched off. -
Right enough.
