  1. Clay. Calm and clinical passing.
  2. That was just a great team performance but special menshy's to Heneghen for being absolutely solid and Ainsworth and Lucas both making huge impacts despite being sidelined for so long.
  3. Totally agree. I'm far from being in the Mcghee out camp, because I've seen plenty of passages which suggests we are capable of playing some nice football. Wednesday's highlights had an example of that which culminated in a shite cross from Cads [a shame for him that his only fuck up made it onto the highlights]. I think we've got the potential to 'click', however as many have pointed out - that won't happen as long as we persevere with punting long balls and sticking with personnel who are incapable of unlocking a defence.
  4. I agree, both are probably average spfl goalkeepers in slightly different ways. Samson - over his career mostly playing at a higher level than Brill, and Brill taking a step up from England and coming off the back of a few good seasons at a high performing ICT. To me that just illustrates the point. Despite Samson's consistent 'could have done better' performances peppered with the odd clanger, we continue to persevere despite having a back-up keeper who should be easily competing for that spot. I can only think he's not performing in training, his injuries have reduced to him to nothing more than a second choice at this level or Mcghee genuinely thinks Samson is doing well.
  5. Given your obsession with Higdon's weight despite his 27 goals in a season, I think I'll reserve judgement.
  6. There's a worrying absence of post-match bickering on here. Can't remember a time where almost everyone agreed we were shite in a game and secondly, agreed we look like we'll be shite all season.
  7. I think the game plan for centre midfield always involved Mchugh, who looked like a genuine quality addition. Losing him for so long is massive and unfortunately this situation exposes the limited depth to our squad.
  8. Missed the game and while it's disappointed to hear we put in such a woeful first half performance, I think it shows some character to put it right in 45 minutes and score 2 goals. As has been said about previous similar games, a year ago we didn't have the character to come back.
  9. Accies official twitter claiming he's sorry and that he didn't mean it. He's a very lucky guy - if that had hit a wean it's not something that could be ignored.

    Well Bois

What was today's banner? Couldny read it today from the Cooper.
  11. As ridiculous as this sounds, it happens so frequently that I often wonder if it's coached into the team. Has Mcghee found some stat that we're more likely to lose goals by full backs diving in and getting skint than we are just standing off and letting them cross?

You don't speak for me. I'm always curious as to how ex players are doing.

Me too. Ainsworth on form has far more to offer than Johnson who, for the record, I also think is quite gid.
  15. He was the Messiah and answering at least half of our problems before he was injured.
  16. Surprised at some of the negativity but I suppose it was one of those games where we all see completely different things. I was encouraged by our possession game and creativity through the midfield, particularly from Cadden, Clay and Ainsworth however it would eventually fall apart with no clear cutting edge - particularly in the last 35 minutes when everything that touched McDonald's feet went to shit. If Louis Moult had been involved it would have been a different game. Also, sometimes credit needs to be given to the opposition who, in my opinion, did well to get bodies behind the ball, took care of most things coming into the box and stifled our play in the final third. Clay, Heneghan and Tait all look like excellent first team additions so credit to McGhee for that, however it's worrying that we are operating with a bench in which the answer is 33 year Mcfadden returning from injury and having played only a handful of games in almost 2 years.
  17. I've got an adult cooper ticket and don't use the free two kids ones. I'd quite happily contribute them to a group, or to a club pot of free tickets for kids. I'm sure plenty of others would do the same. Post up how you get on with the club first, and if there's any way folk can use the spare kids tickets let us know.
  18. Mcghee seems like he's been sniffing pens in that mfc interview. Either that or he's only wearing y-fronts under the table and no one else knows. Thoroughly enjoyable.

  20. Mental. If you haven't made it by 20, cheerio? Aye, that'll make Motherwell the go-to club for young prospects.
