Was going to make a new thread but this looks like just the place for it. Looks like a great programme and I'm sure they will appreciate everything submitted. Plus, you get a free match ticket. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2012/09/13/remember-well-this-october/ Motherwell Football Club Community Trust, in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, North Lanarkshire Council and NHS Lanarkshire are working to support dementia sufferers and their families through ‘Remember Well’, a football based programme using the power of the club and its memorabilia. The project involves training volunteers to spend time with people with dementia who have an interest in football, talking about the teams and matches of the past and working with visual images to stimulate memories. Make Your Own History Motherwell FC has over 125 years of proud history and we can all share in that and be part of it. We want to celebrate and capture those memories at the Football Memories Festival. Come along to this free event for football fans of all ages and make some new memories of your own: Meet former MFC legends. Bring your camera and have your picture taken with former players and around the stadium such as dressing room, in the dugout, pitch side and with some historic silverware. Go on free stadium tours. Watch historic film from big games over the decades and hear from the players involved. Take part in competitions and games. Support Your Fellow Supporters – and Win! In coming and having fun on the day you will be helping your fellow football fans. We will be launching ‘Remember Well’, which is a Football Memories Programme aimed at using our strong football heritage to improve the lives of people with dementia. Just like you, people with dementia remember their first game, favourite player, favourite goal and we all love to share those experiences. We want to use those memories, and we need your help. On the day people are invited to: Bring any football memorabilia such as programmes, football tops, badges, press cuttings or your own pictures for us to take a copy and keep in the archives – we give you back your original. Anyone who brings any memorabilia on the day will receive a free ticket for a future match. Share your own memories of football. We would love to capture your memories in writing, video or audio. Making you part of that history. Get involved with Remember Well either as a volunteer or someone who would like to participate. There are great opportunities to become involved in the programme as a volunteer including free access to matches, free MFC Community Trust kit and most importantly a chance to make a difference to someone else’s life. Don’t sit on the sidelines, come along on the day For further information contact: Norrie Gallagher, Remember Well Volunteer Co-ordinator, Old Town Hall High Road, Motherwell, ML1 3HU, 01698 275300 or e-mail ngallagher@alzscot.org

I'm actually quite surprised they include Celtic in their dellusions of granduer. Nice of them to give them the credit though. Best pals eh.
-
Bit of a freakshow fixture so I'll be there. Anyone know the minimum amount of tickets they need to give us? I reckon we'll see the biggest well support at Ibrox for quite a few years.
-
Any gers fan that thinks our support is pish tell them this... Motherwell have one of the largest supports per head in Scotland. Population of Motherwell is 30'000, average Motherwell home fan attendance 4'000 = approx 13%, Glasgow population 577'000, average Rangers home fan attendance 47'000 = approx 8%. Rough math but you get the picture. We also absolutely shit all over the other city clubs. Especially Hearts and Hibs.

The opening 4 weeks of the season have been absolutely grueling for our wee squad so I'm not expecting a massive performance on Sunday. I'd happily take a point to keep our unbeaten run in the league going. Hopefully fans will have a bit of (not so) common sense and won't give them pelters if we are looking a bit tired. Mind the only SPL game we've played after a full week off has resulted in a win so I'd say our season should properly kick start against Dundee the following week. If we get 3 points against Inverness then I'll be amazed and so proud.
-
Fucker. Great start!
-
Cummins. Cannot believe that is on his 4th start or something. Amazing.
-
I know it's a long shot but I dropped 30 quid somewhere between Gavin Street and the East Stand tonight (walked up past the ticket office). This means I won't eat for at least a week. Sob sob. If anyone on here found it and has a kind soul can you PM me? There is a 33.33333333% finders fee in it for you.

Something to consider when gate prices drop to a reasonable level across the whole of Scottish fitba (it's got to be all clubs or none). Despite not earning a great wage just now I've fired over 700 quid into the club in the last few months (which I don't grudge one penny of). I imagine many folk who've joined the well society and bought season tickets will have put in about the same, or more if they have families. I think that's the absolute limit for most folk.

http://www.resultdb.com/spain/levante/2011/ Last seasons results which include wins over Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Espanyol and eh..... Real Madrid. To be honest, it means fuck all. I'll keep dreaming of victory until we're well and truly out of it.
-
I imagine that's standard procedure for away fans there?
-
I'd be absolutely amazed if we can add approx 2000 from last season. Despite that, I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of folk I know getting season tickets for he first time in years. Myself included in that.

Chances of selling out Fir Park? I know we say this even year but this is the biggest name we've had here in years. When was the last time it was sold out?
-
Ahhh, nice didn't spot the dates there.
-
When do the dates get decided? It's time for FIIIIIITBAAAAAAAAAAAA!
-
I'm going on a bus fay Larkhall. Don't know if there are spaces left but PM if you are interested.

Ach, no too worried yet. It was an enjoyable trip to Starks Park, always liked that place. As a few have said, I don't think we can place too much weight on these performances. McCall is trying a few things out just now so I think after the season he's just given us the least we can do is give him the pre-season before we hit the panic button. They also scored a peach of an equaliser. Peach.

Spoke to Leann Dempster about the campaign and she says that's part of the plan. I'm guessing they need more accurate figures on the financial gap before they can set targets.

http://www.facebook.com/events/390448854348709/ For facebookers, theres a wee event for the Club 12 fixture. Just using it to try and spread the word about not only that game, but the Steelmen Forever campaign in general. Pass, share, invite etc...

Out of curiosity, does this mean the main commercial deals have already been renegotiated depending on the various scenarios and the vote next Friday will simply pin them all down or are we expecting the negotiations to start on Friday? Is there a chance things will be fairly complicated right up to the first kick of a baw?
-
I completely get yer point Al B and as much as I'd have creamed myself if Leanne had gone all Mad Vlad on the 'Scottish Mafia' it is worth noting that the SPL clubs will by far take the biggest hit here. By my understanding Turnbull Hutton, Raith Rovers and any other SFL team had a lot less to lose than Motherwell. Not to diminish his bold actions, I absolutely adore the guy for it but at a time when the driving force behind our club has been absolute financial stability and long term security we simply had to be a bit more measured.
-
There are possibly similar things already going on. I think there is a lot of work within the community and schools which goes un-noticed (by me), maybe because I'm not in the area any more. When I was in the ticket office the other day there was someone in discussing an MFC initiative at her kids school which I had absolutely no idea about. That said, you do raise a great point about kids whose parents can't/won't take them to games. I wonder if the club has that part covered?
-
Would anyone be happy if they went to the first division with on-going penalties for the 2 years they should have spent working their way back up? I.E a 3 year transfer embargo starting this year and points deductions for the first 2 seasons they return to the SPL. Obviously it still isn't ideal but it might soften the blow.
-
I think the contract is if either of them aren't the SPL. The St Mirren piece just uses going to England as an example of why that clause is there.
-
Absolutely spot on maddog.
