I'm going on the logic that he will have had a closer look at him recently than any of us and will make a decision based on that rather than anything he's done for the last 14 years. A good manager will spot the potential to fit into his team and play in this league. Aside from a handful of games for Rangers he's played at a much higher level than Motherwell so it's difficult to say what he can offer the team. I don't think he's someone that should be totally ruled out though. My only concern is his track record for injury. And aye that's the video.

Got to admit the first thing that goes through my head when he gets the ball is "don't do it". Voting Jennings anyway, for obvious reasons. Jones and Hammell were close, Jones especially, looks like he's another player that you can expect a wee something special from when he gets the ball.

I don't think that's what's viewed as the error. Dropping the regulars then refusing to discuss the matter with them, refusing to tell them if/how they can get back into the first team then making them train with the under 19's was the error. I think leaving players who may only have a few years left in the game in complete limbo was the problem within the team. Obviously this is just hearsay but there's a lot more evidence pointing in this direction than anything about a players strop.

Don't know if this applies to cup games but it might have something to do with the fact that the home club keeps 100% of the gate income. The club might hold that view that every penny spend away from home is potentially one that Motherwell have missed out on.
