See, not everyone agrees with that. I tend to judge players and manager on their recent performances (i.e 10 or so matches), taking into account how shite/great they can be and working out whether or not they are likely to continue on the slump/good run of form. Then i get all angry or happy. It sounds like a math equation but really, it just comes from a hunch. Plus the fact that I followed Motherwell long enough to know that a couple of results means fuck all. Weren't folk writing off the season and resigned to a bottom 6 finish in December? That's why I don't get worked up about bad performances if the team are generally doing well. Aye might be frustrating and dissapointing but I don't think it warrants the torrents of vicious abuse that some folk dish out. Nothing wrong with criticism or discussion of the problems were having but the nasty shit just isny neccessary.

What's this based on though? Since Brown took over we've beaten St Johnston, Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Hibs with just Murphy and Sutton up front, with them getting most the goals. Seems like an over-reaction to a bad day.

Yip, well pumped. We were great and Hearts were shocking, could have 5 or 6-1. I see Craig Brown commented on the crowd yesterday, in particular the lack of atmosphere when we were hammering them. I noticed that too yesterday, the crowd made more noise (i.e pelters) when we had a wee 5 minute spell of struggling to clear our lines about 80 minutes in than when we were 2 up after 13 minutes. Absolute madness.

I think it's the tone of the article that makes him come across as a bit of an arsehole. By calling Motherwell and teams around us the complacent, flabby midriff of Scottish football then where does that leave the rest? Nice way to take a swipe at 90% of the teams in Scotland. It's also a cynical and completely misinformed view of Browns opinions on the matter. Brown spoke of the benefits of SPL expansion long before he was Motherwell manager. So aye, arsehole.

Much like everyone has said, he's been absolutely fantastic the last few months. He's surprisingly nimble and quick footed for someone as built as him.

Happy with the point but slightly dissapointed in the performance. Lack of chances was the most frustrating part however I think credit has to be given to St Mirren in that sense. They were pish on the ball but off the ball were very well organised, got plenty of men back and gave us absolutely no space at all, as a result it's no surprise we didn't have any clear cut chances.

Jennings seemed one of the few in control tonight however I went for Ruddy because saved us the point.
