I agree it would be a step down but maybe not as much as you would think. Average wages and attendances in that league aren't too far off most clubs in the SPL. I don't think that would sway any manager though, at least here we have games televised throughout the world, the chance of european football and the chance of some meaningful silverware.

As Gannon has already said, a good player will raise their game every week and not just for the 'big ones'. I really do hope the players will see why games like these could be regarded as bigger than any game against Rangers or Celtic. It's a chance to gain 3 points and see close opposition drop 3 so these are the ones that really make the difference. I'd like to see O'Brien and Hutchison back as options but I've no got the tactical knowledge to work out who I'd drop. We're still struggling to score but seem bulletproof at the back (most the time) so I'm going for 1-0 to us.

Aye true. I probably shouldn't have said "more often than not" as I have Rangers supporting pals who fall into that very catagory. In my experience, the two (bigotry and glory hunting) tend do go hand in hand when were talking about the numpties that support them though.

What the fuck was with the traffic plan yesterday? The police had some bus initiative which meant all the coaches got out before everyone else. Fair enough but the coaches didny leave till quarter to six! Got to my motor at five past five and didny get onto london road till quarter past six. I was parked up a wee side street about half a mile from the ground and me and about 50 other cars were held back for over an hour. The wee police lassie was getting pelters for it.
