Until we hear officially; a) Have we really offered Sbragia the job and has he turned it down? b) If he has turned it down is it for good or as part of negotiations and we will hopefully reach agreement? c) If it is for good, then surely we had someone else in mind for just such an eventuality I am getting impatient and bored in equal measure!

Well if that is true it would be a bit of a bummer. I am sure they don't advertise the salary, but if Sgrabia has any ambitions to ACTUALLY become a manager then he should take this job. Innocent or Guilty, either way the likely outcome is that he will leave Motherwell in the summer to put this scandal behind him. One only hopes the clubs and players backing will convince him to stay another season or two.

Fairly upbeat post........ I am sure the crowd wont be great, but it would be even worse were Hearts not on fire - should add a few extra 000 to the away crowd + we have not played for almost a month + one home game in 6 weeks up to Boxing day, hopefully will entice a few out to see the team they support before they forget who that is. Well that all depends on who the alternatives are. Would I take Butcher over most of the has beens that have been quoted. Most Def. He has an affection for the club and the vast majority of Well fans have an affection for him. Lest we should forget he is managing a team that is ABOVE us in the SPL and unbeaten away in a year inc recent away draws at Ibrox and coming back from 2-0 down at Celtic Park. Aye that is the sign of a p1sh manager.......... Compensation would be an issue as would the treatment of Malpas. Bottom line I would have him back tomorrow.

How and why would we accept Blackman leaving I can only imagine that Stuart Milne in order to tempt Brown has promised him a wad of cash in January. Say what you want about Aberdeen finances, but Milne is loaded and probably sick of the abuse coming his way in Aberdeen. As for players leaving us for Aberdeen, I am sure that will happen, but not to the extent that it has me worrying. I certainly hope we retain Blackman and hope that for him Aberdeen is waaayy too far north to consider. I wonder if they will offer Reynolds a pre contract..... Players tend to be closer to other players than Managers anyway.

Tin Hat on McGhee till the end of the season...

Thing is I genuinely believed that Brown at 71 would not follow in that fashion. How wrong was I. My main concern is that the wee pr1ck manages to persuade Blacburn and Blackman to move to Aberdeen. Right I am off to bed now...honestly. When I wake up I expect to see Jose mourinho being unveiled at Fir Park.

Who would of thought that a wee cuddly 71 year old could be such a devious wee tw#t. It looks certain to happen now. I will be interested to hear his views on his BBC interview and platitudes and promises to Well players, fans and staff. He will try and worm his way out and retain his dignity, but I just don't see how. I would have more respect for him if he came out and admitted we was a two faced lying old git and no-one should trust a word he says. If he pulls it off he should become the UN General Secretary or a peace mediator in the Middle East. All in all it is fairly despicable behaviour however he explains it away. Not quite true. Brown said on his BBC interview he was told he could have a contract any time he wanted. But then he also said he would be staying at Motherwell because of the fans, players and everyone at the club......ahem If as looks likely he does leave I will be disapointed, but more so feckin angry. This is as bizarre as anything in our recent history. Had he left yesterday then fair do's, still would have been disappointed but sh1t happens. But to come out with all the platitudes and then do the dirty on us......well that is worse than anything McGhee and Gannon ever did in my opinion. I would NEVER let him back at Fir Park. Craigan should stick one on him. Who knows what impact this will have on the squad...hopefully the players will take it like we are, get angry and feckin bust a gut at Shitoddrie to prove him he was wrong....
