I hope I am wrong but I think it looks unlikely this game will go ahead. It appears as if there was an outside chance if the temperature remained above freezing last night, which it has not done and it has also fallen below freezing this morning. A day of sunshine may sort that out but a decision needs to made asap this morning, as very few can ask for a half day with 5 mins notice, plus little chance then to return tickets to the club for a refund. Fingers crossed.

It is a fact that as the game is postponed (time and again) there will be a few that will unfortunatley miss out, but I suspect most of those who have tickets will try to make the game. Inverurie have never played an SPL side and we have not played a non league side in the Scottish Cup in my lifetime and for over 50 years. History in the making. Another couple of cancellations though and I am sure a few will just ask for there money back. Although the weather is to blame, people cannot keep making change after change during the working week.

That is as maybe - but ICT have always had battling qualities. All we can hope is that now Ian Black has signed a pre-contract with Hearts and Don Cowie looks like he will do the same with A N other club - their heart is not in the fight. Could say the same with Ports I guess. Big Game - Com on Well - time to deliver us a wee Xmas prezzie - 3 points.

Just listened to the 5 minute interview with McGhee over on the BBC website. I fully back McGhee and still believe he is the man to turn our fortunes around. He thinks he should have the backing of the fans - as do I. But there are a few holes in the interview that concern me: He states that if Porter does leave in the next transfer window it would give him some money to replace him, yet if he does not go we will have to go forward with the squad that we have.........mmmmmmmmm.........what happened to these 50 players he was looking at, even as supposed loan deals they would surely strengthen the squad. Next he states that he feels we are doing as well as can be expected given we are missing 3-4 1st team players. That worries me even more. Firstly it does not stack up. Now even I can understand that you would expect the team to perform better with a full strength side, but I wish someone would point out that Killie were missing arguably 3 of their best players in Taouil, Fernadez, Bryson and then had Invincible taken off with injury. He goes on to state that the team are feeling sorry for themselves. It sounds to me that MM is feeling sorry for himself. Time to wake up smell the roses and motivate the team to get out of the malaise they find themselves in. I hope he can turn this all around - but stop making excuses and get on with it!!

In all seriousness - does anyone actually know whether 1,2 or 3 out of Craigan, Clarkson and Hughes will be fit enough to play against ICT this Saturday??
-
That would be my choice if everyone is fit. With the possible exception that Murphy drops back into midfield and O'Brien starts at left mid. 4-4-2. Right now I have NO idea whether O'Brien is worth a start. In fact I would say probably not. But he has not had the chance from the off and although he is likely to cock up once in a while, I think he is also capable of a bit of trickery and skill to unlock the Caley defence.

I have to say that I firmly share the the same views as the rest of those who feel Reynolds needs a break from 1st team duty. I think he has what i takes to be a good footballer, but I still believe that RIGHT now he is far too lightweight for centrehalf. He does not win the ball in the air often enough and is too easily pushed off the ball or harrassed into making mistakes. I hope Crggs is fit. If so I would play him with either Malcolm or Klimpl. I would also give McGarry a rest and consider O'brien on from the start. Clarky to replace Sutton if he is fit. So in summary if everyone is fit I would see Reynolds, McGarry and Sutton on the bench. Having said that I suspect that Reynolds and McGarry will both start.

Christ - If it aint Victor Meldrew. Imagine having a go at some kids trying to create an atmosphere and generally supporting the side. I have not studied their actions in minutae, probably because I am so concerned about what is happening on the pitch. But their hearts are in the right place. Wellboys - ignore the moaning eejits. Keep up the good work. That is just my opinion as we are entitled to one.

Aint that the truth El Grew. He still had an intelligent football mind and he WAS definitely improving as the season wore on. Hell he even scored a few goals from midfield, something that I am not sure we will see again this season. It is hard to believe a year has gone by. Seems just like yesterday

Crikey - I would rather appoint my Staffordshire Bull Terrier than Blobby Willamson. That's akin to saying I would rather see Brian Kerr in midfield than McGarry Truth is we are very very poor at the moment - not making any excuses although you could say that we have has as many chances and more possession than either Killie or Hamilton Accies in the last two games. Any Manager that has delivered what McGhee did last season should be allowed the benefit of the doubt. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions that is what a message board is for after all. My opinion is that McGhee should get the support of the fans until it becomes crystal clear we are heading for the trapdoor. By then you may say it is too late but he deserves some time to dig us out of the mire. Relegation will be a 6 way tussle inc Killie and St Midden. Right now we are level on points with 4 teams with a game in hand. Hopefully we can get Clarky back in for Sutton and Hughes recovers from his virus. I would be tempted to drop Reynolds for Craigan when he returns. I am quite convinced we will turn the corner and whilst we will probably remain in the bottom 6 - I still think that ICT and Hamilton will fight out the relegation place.

Hope to see you there BIG man. I have had to adapt my board name a little as WELLDAFT seems to be popular and was taken before I re-registered. I will put my neck on the line.......2-1 the WELL. Large Malt on it

Despite the piss poor form I will be there on Sat. You know i will let you into a secret - I thought I better go to New Douglas Park on account that they would be relegated and we would be top 6 and that would be my chance to go to their ground gone for a wee while. Of course that was a couple of months ago Imagine taking the rise out of Hamilton fans for only bringing 600 fans to Fir Park for the 1st league game in over 20 years. Yet if we do the same........major embarrassment I live in Edinburgh and the temptation to stay at home or watch in the pub was strong. But the boys need our support. If you cannot afford it then fine. If not get your butts along. Still expect a decent turn out from Well fans. Show them what we are made of. Imagine the well players coming on to the pitch and looking up at plenty empty seats OR a full away stand with our support in full voice. What do you think will spur them on more.............We ALWAYS make a noise at away games - this one for sure should be NO different

Actually I do not gauge the performance of the admin staff on the basis of how well the team is performing. It is either crap or it is not. Almost everything they attempt to do is problematic. The Nancy tickets fiasco - the new pricing structure. Thankfully they are dealing with a fanbase of 4-5000 or else it would be worse. That said the admin people try their hardest and they are probably not that well paid and even under resourced. My point is a simple one, I will continue supporting the Team when players, chairman, and admin staff come and go, whether the team are up and down, in the SPL or the 2nd Division. It just depresses me to read fans saying - I am no going back - the team is shit , the club admin is shit etc etc. Some are sounding off and deep down love this club which is why they are so frustrated. But right now is the time to get behind the team not abandon them!

Good to see the majority of fans getting behind the club in times of hardship. Oh wait a minute I got that wrong - it would appear that most want to jump ship when the going gets tough Yes the club is shambolic at the moment in terms of on field and off field performance, but we have been here before and will be in this position again. As long as I can afford to, I will always buy a season ticket and support Motherwell FC with my cash and presence, right up until the day I die. That does not make me better than anyone else - I just wish people would accept our limitations as a club. I know a lot is frustration coming to the boil. But if you want to support a team who perform well week in week out might I suggest you go and support Man Utd or Chelsea or dare I say it one of the gruesome twosome from our neck of the woods.

I will go along with that Rickoza. We did have a few good chances, certainly as many as Killie had. Combe (w*nker that he is) kept them in it. None more than his save from Porter which he pushed onto the bar. We have not played well recently but we are due a break and I expect us to be clear of relegation, but even now I suspect that the top 6 is a long way away this season.
